Will international cricket ever return to Pakistan?

Every time there is an effort to bring some kind of a team to tour Pakistan, there is an unfortunate incident which pulls back all the good work done.

Do you think International Cricket can return to Pakistan at all ? Considering the ever worsening geo political scenarios which are only going from bad to worse every passing day.

One would hope so, we are getting closer. At this point, these are the last feeble attempts by these pathetic terrorists before hopefully they are permantely flushed out of the country.

Things are much better today than 5 years ago, we are heading in the right direction. Personally think we are about 3-5 years out from hosting nations like Australia, New Zealand, England, and South Africa. Before then we will get a few of the other teams touring.

Will players from other nations be willing to tour Pakistan? Maybe as long as they are offered incentives to do so, which is not possible for every tour. Even then it'll require a lot of money to lure players from proper Test playing nations which simply is not practical since they already made good enough money. As for them touring the country without any incentives, it might happen if Pakistan remains safe for a long, long time .... maybe 25-30 years. That's what I personally believe.

Yes but not any time soon. Need to reduce terrorist incidents in major cities.

Lahore has been bombed three times in the last 18 months yet this is deemed one of the safer cities where PCB have invited teams.

Another point, it's easy for fans to say that the attack on the SL team happened nearly 9 years ago, and to get over it. But when it comes to risking one's life, people don't really get over such things.

It may not happen in our lifetimes, I mean not in 20th century, because Pakistan may become safest country in world by 2030s but even then major teams won't come till 2050s, because perceptions take long time to change.

It will but the terrorist attacks need to decrease [its on a downward trend~ but the attacks are still occurring with deadly ferocity~ Pakistan is a developing country with a 200million population fighting deep rooted extremism and multi facted terrorism ~ we need to be realistic about the when this will end
