Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp recently admitted that he was impressed by the "greed and determination" that Manchester City showed to win the Premier League - and believes they will be favourites to retain their crown.

Pep Guardiola's side clinched their fourth title in eight years on the final day of the season, beating the Reds by just a single point in one of the most thrilling title races in recent memory.

Do you agree with that assessment?

I'm a Man City fan but I want to see another team win the premier league, its always boring to see the same team win a trophy again and again (it was boring to see Real Madrid win the UCL 3 times in a row). I predict Liverpool to win it this season.

Sky in Germany understands Bayern held positive discussions with Sane's representatives earlier this week over a potential move to the Allianz Arena.

But Sky Sports News understands Manchester City have no interest in selling Sane and are yet to receive an official bid for the Germany winger.

Bayern Munich are "working very hard" to secure their "dream signing" Leroy Sane, according to head coach Niko Kovac.

Sky in Germany understands Bayern held positive discussions with Sane's representatives earlier this week over a potential move to the Allianz Arena.

But Sky Sports News understands Manchester City have no interest in selling Sane and are yet to receive an official bid for the Germany winger.

Kovac told Sport Bild: "Our bosses have shown him a clear plan. We are very focused, Leroy knows what to expect here, and when a player with such capacity comes to FC Bayern, he knows his job.

"You can see that the transfer is not easy. But I know that our people are working very hard to make it happen. We will do everything to realise this transfer.

"We all know that Leroy Sane is our dream player. The public knows that, we know that."

Sky Sports News understands Sane has not expressed a desire to leave this summer and City remain confident that he will agree a new contract despite failing to reach an agreement last season.

The 23-year-old made 46 appearances in all competitions for City during the 2018/19 campaign, scoring 16 goals, but he started just 21 of their 38 Premier League games.

Sane, who joined City from Schalke in 2016, has only two years remaining on his current contract at the Etihad Stadium.

They are like a well-oiled machine - will win again

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola believes Phil Foden is "the most talented player" he has ever seen.

Guardiola, who has managed the likes of Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Arjen Robben, spoke while the 19-year-old midfielder was sat alongside him.

Foden, who has scored seven goals in 36 appearances since making his debut in 2017, is expected to feature heavily this season.

"He has everything to become one of the best players," Guardiola said.

"I have said many times in press conferences, but maybe not said it in front of him, Phil is the most, most, most talented player I have ever seen in my career as a manager.

"His only problem is sometimes his manager doesn't put him in the starting XI. Hopefully in the future that can improve."

City have been heavily linked with a move for former Barcelona, Juventus and Paris St-Germain right-back Dani Alves.

The 36-year-old Brazilian - a free agent having left PSG at the end of last season - won two Champions League titles under Guardiola at Barcelona.

"He is an extraordinary person, but we have two incredible full-backs," said the Spanish manager. "So, that is what it is."

When asked about further signings, Guardiola said: "No, not many. Maybe zero, maybe one, maybe one and a half.

"I like the faces that we have. The transfer market is so difficult and the team is good enough.

"If [we don't sign a new player] we will survive without a new defender."

City, who won a domestic treble holders in 2018-19, face Japanese side Yokohama F. Marinos on Saturday as part of their Asia Tour.

I think they will be the most strongest especially by adding Rodri they only have a weakness in defensive e.

Liverpool were lucky last season and wont be getting any close with that mediocre MF and attack with no depth, they will probably go back to there usal self and challenge for top 4.

Tottenham has strengheneg the most, they got a superb MF in NDombele and even if they lose Erikson they will get an able replacement in le celos and importanly they seem to have kept Toby, they will probably challenge City the most.

Chelsea with the transfer ban and departure of Hazard are a player or 2 short and Arsenal are still there same weak old self.

For MU it all depends on if we get our transfer completed for Bruno, Maguire and Pepe and keep Pogba - with those players we can create a good lineup to challenge city,

Liverpool are their only competitors and I think we will push them all the way.

So no LFC to win the league and start a new era of domination under the German Giant. :klopp

Once Pep is gone I don’t see City being this dominant. He is too demanding and knows how to win. They look like winning the title especially with Liverpool front 3 hardly having any rest.

City's dominance is not just on pep building a great squad and getting better with every transfer window, it also has to do with the other teams around him being in crisis and staying weak.
