haris ,asif have played well so only way hafeez/shoiab play is to drop on of imad , shadab which is unrealistic. So they will probably play at expense of haris ,asif which is likely. will management drop them or play them at expense of inform players (haris,asif)

Malik and Hafeez are a big problem for Pakistan. If both play they will take Haris Sohails place even tho Sohail is much better than both. Team management can only play 1 of Malik or Hafeez. Hafeez is the better option as he can bowl and is also a better stroke maker but knowing Pakistans love for Malik they will probably try to fit him in somewhere.

And you can guarantee if these two don’t play and batting fails to click at some point, some former players will come out saying the team selection was wrong and batting needed the experience of Shoaib Malik and Hafeez — as if these two are seasoned batsmen who like Miandad have been there and done it winning matches under pressure many times.
The batting has been fine on this tour. We nearly chased 375 and in the previous match we got 360. Maybe 20 runs short.
At this moment i see no reason for Malik or Hafeez because the TOP 6 all look in decent form. On top of that Hafeez and Malik have poor records in England. Hafeez averages 26 and Malik 13!
Furthermore they both have very poor records in ICC 50 over tournaments, which includes Chamoions Trophy and the World cup. This sensation that we are missing them is one of the biggest misconceptions. They both become "experienced " by default as they have played 200 ODIS each, but so far in 95% situations in ICC torunaments they have failed to deliver.
Hafeez can come in for Imad, and thats the only way he could really slot in.

Hafeez should be the only player coming into the eleven. Malik is not needed
Even if we fail with haris asif in lineup i will take it .rather than to fail with malik hafeez in lineup
Hafiz has only played few impactful innings he is also dud if he plays in top 4 he will be exposed if he plays in top 4 and less said about malik the better

Hafeez was crucial to our 2017 CT win. We need his bowling as well. Malik brings experience and the ability to assault spinners. He also provides a bowling option. Both are needed for the WC squad and should be allowed a final Hurrah.

Hafeez in for Immad. Reason is simple. Much more experience, better stroke maker and dries up the runs which will be absolutely crucial for putting pressure on the oppositions to make mistake.

pretty sure only one of them will make it to final ideal playing xi, likely hafeez, unless they both can bowl quite well. once shadab is fit, he will take one of the spots and imad is likely a confirmed spot in xi, unless he really really screws up in several games in a row with both bat and ball.
