India cricket team will not be traveling to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. A hybrid model has been finalized.

But here’s a question for Indian cricket fans—since the team isn’t coming, would you consider traveling to Pakistan to experience the Champions Trophy firsthand?

Pakistan is set to host its first ICC event in decades, and the atmosphere in the stadiums will be electric. The country has successfully hosted international teams recently, and security measures will be at their highest. So, if given the chance, would you be open to crossing the border and enjoying world-class cricket in Pakistan?

Or would political tensions, security concerns, or other reasons stop you from making the trip?

Let’s hear your thoughts!

Why would Indian fan's will go there when indian Team is not going to Play in pakistan .

Yes ,i would have love to travelled if our team is going but not now.

:kp
So no interest in any match beside Indian ones?

Come on bro it's a once in a bluemoon opportunity to enjoy the match between Australia and England in Pakistan.

Can the moderators please change the voting option to just “Yes” rather than “Yes, Cricket comes first.”

In my case, country certainly comes first and then after many things it’s Cricket. However as a fan of the game, as someone who has practically lived closer to Pakistan than rest of Bharat due to proximity of Bharatiya Punjabi to Pakistan, i have always wanted to visit Pakistan and see cities like Lahore, Karachi and visit the beautiful regions of Kashmir within Pakistan dominion.

Maybe not this time for me personally as our team wouldn’t be playing its matches there but at some point in the future.

Good luck to you all.
Hoping for a great and memorable event.

Pakistan and Bharat are practically one nation. 80 years of British aided division of our lands doesn’t hold any weight against centuries of relationships. Driven by religious, patriotic emotions we might have said obnoxious stuff against each other but I doubt there are many people who don’t ever feel it in their heart at some point that how silly this whole thing is. We shouldn’t have got to this point.

So in that case, I am expecting to see you in Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Be our guest!

This is why i would not be able to vote Yes because in this context it conveys a wrong message that i do not care about my country’s soldiers and its political stance.

I see great value in travelling between hostile countries and being an ambassador for peace. That is not defying my country’s soldiers or its political stance in my humble opinion. I can defend myself at that. Civilians must honour their soldiers but by promoting peace and harmony i feel a civilian is also doing a small service to the nation and towards its soldiers as such smaller actions may lead to improvement in relationships and if we can stop wars its our way of honouring the soldiers.

I would love to go and enjoy some nice Karachi Biryani. There was one video where Wasim Akram was saying he had tasted Hyderabadi biryani and its good but nothing beats Karachi one. So want to give it a go.

By Biryani, I meant only chicken or mutton biryani though. Strictly no beef :moyo

We have some major concerns about cross-border terrorism from India and deeply respect our soldiers.

But as a cricket fan I keep one thing in mind that cricket has nothing to do with it nor do cricketers. Sports and politics are totally different things so let's just celebrate cricket.

And if someday I travel to India to watch cricket it doesn't mean I'm disrespecting my army or my people. It simply means that I'm just a cricket fan who is enjoying the sport.

Come bro and be my guest.

You won't find any shortcomings in hospitality.

Idk about fans but the broadcast team has around 100+ Indian nationals who will be in Pak during the Champions trophy.
They have already experienced the hospitality of Pakistanis during te Asia Cup 2023.

This time I think more members of the broadcasting team will be coming and they will enjoy the hospitality as well. They might even tag Jay Shah in their social media posts.

Not an Indian fan (ofcourse) but I will be travelling from DE to Pak (after 14 years) for the first match vs NZ. I wanted to get VVIP tikuts since they were so cheap but every time I reached the payment page, the site crashed. This went on for the first day but on the second day the site became stable but there were only First Class tickets left which I bought. Will have to suffer more khuari than if I had a VIP tikut but atleast I got one so choti choti khushiyan as they say.

Said it before, will say it again: I'd love to visit Pakistan for the food alone.

The Champions Trophy is a nothing event so even if it was possible for me to travel to Pakistan easily and India were playing in Pakistan, I wouldn't have bothered.

Very difficult to obtain a Pakistani visa on an Indian passport. Would love to visit Pakistan but no luck.

Not worth the hassle - government clearance, police certificates, et al.

It might be easier if you are a US/UK passport holder, I dunno.
Very easy for aussie passport holders. Just book a ticket and travel. Visa free baby 🫠.

You guys seriously think Indian fans would want to travel to Pakistan to watch some dead game like SA vs Afg in a nothing burger tournament like the Champions Trophy.

Seriously ?

Why will PK allow them?. Suppose they could claim to be a pilgrim which is what it is for Indians watching cricket :facepalm

BCCI has monopoly over Cricket 🏏 with the start of IPL, if BCCI allows Indian Players to travel to Pakistan, Pakistan Cricket Board will make lot of money from this event. They don’t want other Cricket Boards to become richer so they don’t even allow Indian Players to participate in other T20 Leagues. This happens in every Sport but unfortunately Cricket’s Popularity is declining in other Countries due to increasing Influence of BCCI and its Puppet Friends Australia and England. My Personal Opinion is BCCI is killing Cricket by not allowing other Cricketing Nations to grow. If this trend continues you will see slowly Cricket becoming a Sport only played in India 🇮🇳, Australia 🇦🇺 and England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿.

Seriously ?

The "nothing burger" tournament is happening because the ICC can milk you Indians for TV rights deals. There is clearly an audience for this "nothing burger" in India. In fact it's because of you conniesours of "nothing burgers" that the tournament didn't end up getting scrapped.

Indians also have an obvious interest in Pakistan and Pakistani cricket.

It's not the most outlandish question....

Lol I think you missed seeing the fixture of Australia vs England.

I'd definitely like to visit Pakistan if India plays there.

Not worth the hassle now. Getting Pakistani visa is hell of a task. Also I'm sure, getting Pakistani stamp on my Passport is going to give me a lot of unnecessary headache back home.

they shouldn't be allowed,

National security is way more important than letting a few people watch cricket. It’s great that everyone wants to enjoy the game, but you can’t risk the country’s safety for that. Priorities matter, and in this case, keeping the nation secure has to come first.

Then why are you participating? Infact why did you start a war just to participate in Dubai?

If its a nothing burger tournament, why are you participating? And crying? Just tell icc that India isn't interested but will pay icc like any professional board would do and have sri lanka play?

Why blackmail icc, and fabricate reports about Pakistan status from indian media and cry non stop?

Feeling is mutual, trust me. Allowed or not, nobody is going to have any issues in India. Nobody wants to travel to a country where your safety and well being depends on mood of extremists.

I really want to visit Karachi one day for family cultural reasons now Emraan will not allow me :((😭
Sorry, bro, but with all the hate campaigns being run against Pakistan and the Champions Trophy being hosted there, the extreme lengths India is going to make it unsuccessful, it’s going to be a risky task.

Oh boy looks like I hit a nerve.

Your argument is dumb as usual . There is an audience for pretty much anything in India as It's a country of 1.5 billion people. Still that doesn't change the fact that this is indeed a nothing burger tournament who most of us don't care about and it's status is nowhere close to that of a World Cup.

There were virtually zero celebrations when we won it in 2013. It's status is barely above the Asia cup. And even then , Asia cup has a lot more history and meaning.

Lol I think you missed seeing the fixture of Australia vs England.

Why would Indians want to travel to Pakistan to watch Australia and England play?

Stadium was barely 30% full in Ahmedabad when those two teams played in India. Where's the logic?

If not for all the other member boards sitting with a begging bowl in the ICC meetings drooling for Indian participation, BCCI would have happily scheduled a home series against SL, WI etc and made twice as much dough from the broadcasters. It's hilarious that Pakistanis think BCCI would be desperate to play this gareebon ka world cup tournament.

Yes above mentioned teams are travelling with 'Presidential level security'.

Discussion was about fans however. Quote me when Australians or South Africans travel there to cheer for their team.

That's not what the Indian media said, then again you fabricate so many lies, that you lose track of your own claims 🤣🤣

I will do but dont take a runner with your fake account.

Couple of foreigners watching PSL= People all over the world traveling to Pakistan.. waah..

For all we know couple of hundred foreigners must be living in Islamabad alone in different consulates. Doesn't mean zilch.

As i said quote me when people of different nationality travel to Pakistan or don't bother.

Anyways its none of your concern what's going on in Pakistan, thought the Indians didn't care but your obsession is next level

It is in fact my concern since @FearlessRoar asked us 'Indian Cricket fans' whether we would be willing to travel.

You should have read the OP.
Do you represent Australia Newzealand South Africa England Bangladesh and the Afghanistans too?

As i said earlier, feeling is mutual. We would not miss the Pakistani hospitality either. We're going to have a blast in Dubai where India plays the hosts 'Pakistan'.

You Pakistanis conveniently nitpick what to believe and what to call "propaganda " when referring to Indian media. Really confused and clueless bunch
No it's cause I'm use ti Australian media which provides clean and non controversial news and provides the truth over Indian media which is filled with liars and trolls.

You are playing ct.
You cried about playing in dubai
You created a cheesy ad with shadab Khan who isn't even in ct 🤣🤣 for ct. Copied the shield from wwe 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

^^ Actions speak louder the words. Did Australia prepare such an ad.

So you say Indian media is full of liars and trolls but in the above post, you say "That's not what the India media said" to discredit my point?

Again...try thinking clearly and see how confused you sound. I'll give you some time. No worries.

Yes they are filled with liars and trolls. Plain and simple. Just like you, As for me. I have never lied or trolled in my life or been confused.

Everything i say is genuine and always factual as it is impossible for me to ever be wrong.

Have you tried for a visa???
No, but I know many people who have applied and never received a response.

Infact only recently observing few Indian Youtubers have received visa to visit only the Punjab province.

May be I can try my luck during my next India visit.

Seeing the reaction of usual extremist it was good decision by Goverment of india to not send the team india for pakistan .

So no chance of India fan's to go there .
