Yes. The loser of this game will most probably get knocked out unless BANgladesh upsets one of the other teams. I think you need to win minimum of 3 games to qualify for the SFs. Australia and West Indies having alrready lost one cannot afford to lose another. Excting game on the cards. :snack:

nope. if AUS beat WI and then WI beat Pakistan and India beat AUS, it will come down to NRR

Jimmy Faulkner and Jimmy Muirhead in
 
Australia batting uptill 8 today. Playing only 3 bowlers. Might backfire big time considering that Muirhead is still finding his feet in international cricket.

Watto, Faulkner, Maxwell and need be Finch.

Anyway, Faulkner is a bowler first.

I think three bowlers is a mistake.

The reality is that an innings is max 20 overs. Unless your batsmen completely mess up (in which case you almost certainly lose) your number 8 will almost never have to face more than 6 balls.

Meanwhile if you have 5 bowling options each bowler has to bowl 4 our of 20 overs. I think the three overs extra you get out of a full time bowler is more than worth the extra 6 balls you get from the bitsa player.

Especially since as we have seen throughout this tournament and from T20 game sover a number of years, many of the bitsa bowlers do give up 15-20+ run overs. They aren't going to make up for that with the bat.

But Faulkner is a bowler who can bat so he's fine.

This. You need 4 overs each from specialist bowlers. Faulkner,watto might be cannon fodder for WI batsmen.Should have included another quick bowler who can swing the ball instead of Faulkner. You have enough big hitters already.

If aussies lost & later india win..aussies will be out but i think reverse is going to happe in both matches:irfan
 
When being taken to cleaners, WI look such a lulloo bowling unit. Where are the quickies?
