"You had fun for 4 years so failure of these kids in 4 matches is nothing to worry about": Mohammad Amir on Pakistan's 0-4 losses in New Zealand

Amir always comes up with something controversial when he is not getting the limelight. He says this kind of stuff just to gain some attention.

True but the "4 saal mazay" = you have fun for 4 years part is interesting one.
In the past four years, Pakistan reached the semi-final in the WT20, the final in the WT20, the Asia Cup final, and achieved their first-ever victory against their arch-rival India in t20 WC. Before this period, the last time Pakistan advanced to the knockout stage (at least the semi-final) was in 2012, a span of 11 years. It's noteworthy that Mr. Amir was also part of the 2016 squad, experiencing losses to India, New Zealand, and Australia and failing to qualify for KO stage.

While it's crucial to allow young players time to adapt at the international level, but undermining and humiliating the previous team, especially when they are still active international players, is both disgusting and disgraceful. However, such sane behaviour may not be unexpected from an individual who betrayed his country for monetary gain.

He is speaking the truth and knows what’s going on . Anyone sensible will say what Rizwan said was very demotivating for young players coming in

Well said by Aamir, first time in many months he has said something right.

Mohammad Amir has a point for those talking about Saim.

4 saal mazzey and then score meaningless runs to come out and throw everyone under the bus.

Mohammad Rizwan for you guys

Younis Khan gave an 18 year old Mohammad Amir the 20th over in the T20 World Cup final. He went for 20 runs and the score was pushed to 140 by Sri Lanka

When YK was asked why he gave Amir the last over and not any senior, experienced bowler. He replied by saying: “the score was 120, I knew Aamir could go for 20+ but it’s ok, I would be happy chasing 140ish anyways”

That’s the way you build youngsters. Not tell them that the changes done by the management are illogical.

Amir probably has NPD. All the signs are there since the beginning of his career.

He just can’t help himself but take pot shots at people who he feels have wronged him.

His point about Saim is valid, but the “4 years” comment doesn’t need any translation.

He has always been openly bitter about his exclusion…while simultaneously refusing to do anything which could get him re-involved with the national side. Classic NPD.

He also seems to have no awareness that a guy who sold his country probably shouldn’t be pointing the finger at others.

At the end of the day Amir will never taste tangible success again. Nobody cares if he wins the Bahrain t5 with the Sylhet Desert Vipers.

It does bother him that he won’t get to wear the green shirt with pride ever again.

Deep down he is seething that the country isn’t bending over backwards to accommodate him like he believes they should.

Amir is many things, but I guarantee happy is not one of them.

Let's not shoot the messenger, shall we?

Lol yeah

Let’s be correct about the point that he has made. Which is totally valid.

We need to learn and learn fast

After this game, 12 more matches left to the World Cup.

Since Babar is gone now. We can also asses his tenure as a captain.

I believe Pakistan were better team under him the shorter the format was. In the last Test series as a captain. He did showed an improvement here and there but it took him too long and Shan as a captain in Test format is clearly an upgrade.

I think one thing we definitely learned quickly is that Babar Azam is a better number 3 than he is an opener. Do you agree?

Babar was never a clever captain, it was a mistake of PCB to appoint him captain at first place. He was rightfully sacked so that he can focus on his batting without any excuse. But when you see the results of past 4 years, international team's started taking Pak seriously after the decade of dark era. I am particularly pissed off by '4 years comment' that too from someone who quit international cricket, applied for foreign citizenship just to be available for IPL.
