You Know Things are Bad When.....

When your ODI total is considered a decent score by the 10th over of a t20 game.

When one of your bowlers has scored more runs then what 5/6 of your top order in three games.

When you prepare for ODIs with a T10 tournament.

Then you make 9 runs in the first 11 overs in the ODI.

Things are scary when you score 14 in 13 overs and your Captain says that wickets were thrown away ......

When Boult scores more run than your whole batting line up.

When Boult has hit more boundaries than 9 of your players.

When you have a 37 year old Hafeez in the team.

Not as if he's like wine.

Seniority is the principal attribute when it comes selecting players for the Pakistan cricket team.

When you are following the South Africa versus India series more closely than New Zealand versus Pakistan.

Harsh to clump Fakhar Zaman with the likes of Babar, Azhar, Hafeez, Malik and Sarfaraz. They aren't even fit to polish his shoes.

But but but Babar is lighting our batting on fire!

You know things are bad when Pak players start celebrating scoring a fifty as if they have scored a triple hundred.

It's valuable to them

If Steyn celebrates every wicket he gets even if it's against Zimbabwe should he also be criticized for that?

You can't compare bowlers to wicket keepers. There are a lot of factors for a bowler to get a wicket. Even then Steyn doesn't bring out his cross and say prayers to Jesus. Celebrating cheerfully and praying to god are not comparable.

When Ramiz Raja is sounding human compared to the other commentators.

When every one of the Indian pace bowlers are quicker than anything Pakistan currently has :)

What's Bhuvneshwar kumar's average pace. He is not that fast.

How did Bumrah do last time he played Pakistan? Likewise, how did Amir and Hasan do?

...

he hits 140 quite consistently nowadays too. not quite the mark ealham pace he used to be. Every one of the Indian fast bowlers bowls at 140 quite regularly now. It's pakistan who have the trundler army now. :p

When you're banking on Amir and Babar to win you the World Cup. :sarf2

I wouldn't say you need perfect comprehension to understand what he said, but what part of what he said implies "Indian bowlers are better than Pakistan bowlers."?

By acknowledging your logic, does 1 game where one team wins over the other makes that teams bowlers impliedly better than the losing team's bowlers?

When after 1 test win India's bowlers are suddenly better than Pakistan's. Still 2-1 guys. Some people gotta chill.

It wasn't just one game, it was the tournament final. The performance in these matches is a main factor that shows who is ultimately better.

I can drop the stats here: 9 overs 0/68 vs @7.6 vs 6 overs 3/16, and 6 overs 3/19. Tell me which one is better.

When the co-commentators make Ramiz Raja look as if he is almost talking sense.

My favourite moment today was when Sunil asked Ramiz what the key to winning will be today and Ramiz literally said I don’t know.

You know things are bad for the batting side when Kedar Jadhav has figures like 6 overs, 3/13.

Once you have 340 on board it is very very very easy to get good bowling figures. Check the scoreboard of any final where those many runs were scored in the first innings

When you just want the match to end as soon as possible, even if it's a 10 wicket loss.

I see you posting this in every thread get over it man you lost against better team on the day. Not just lost but smashed.

When Afghan & Bang are the 2nd & 3rd best team in asia & Pak are joint 4th with SL

When there are posts on PP suggesting we missed Hafeez today, after a Pakistani batting collapse .. that's when you know things are real bad. ;)

A bit like saying you missed your jumper on a hot summer day.

When "fans" wish your No. 5 batsman should bat at No. 10.

Cheer up guys. Our boys take time to get going. This match was a disaster but we are still in the Asia cup.

Will come hard next game!

When you are nervous about playing against Afghanistan.

Some people think that they know a lot about cricket. . .

Most of their knowledge is artificial, they make it very far despite knowing nothing about cricket.

Very true. Just like there are so many good cricketers who never make it far in cricket due to lack of connections or other reasons, and there are mediocre ones who make it even to the international level, same can be said for commentators/journalists etc. Some of them know absolutely nothing, and there are so many people who know so much about cricket but never make it.

When umar akmal is your best batsman but he can’t get into the side because sarfraz is the best finisher in the world

When you are thinking, maybe Hafeez should have been part of the squad at the Asia Cup.

When a team that went to several WC finals/T20 Finals get knocked out by Afghanistan and Bangladesh without crossing 150 lol

When you are breathing a sigh of relief after beating Afghanistan.

Cheering bangladesh against afghanistan so they can knock us out instead of being whitewashed by india

When you look at Indian captains body language at the toss, hoping his sweating & bricking it.

When you want Bangladesh to beat your team to avoid another mauling at the hands of India.

When there is nothing positive you can take after playing two times against arch rivals the so called.

When a Bangladesh side without Tamim Iqbal, Shakib ul Hasan and Taskin Ahmed are still able to beat you!

When you have lost 4 ODIs in a row to Bangladesh.

You know Pakistan cricket's standards are desperately low when...

Mohammad Hafeez is being missed. 37-year old Mohammad Hafeez. We used to miss players like Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf until 2009-10 (when they were banned by Butt sahab) and now we're missing a batsman that doesn't average 40 in any format of the game at any level, domestic or international.

Our best ODI batsman is someone who made his debut in 1999.

Pakistan's domestic cricket needs a drastic, drastic overhaul. The guys in the current squad can't take all the blame for being mediocre.

When Shoaib Malik is your most reliable batsman. Seriously, the guy was bullied into retirement 2 games after scoring a triple ton. The guy can only run the ball down to third man against good pace bowling and his get out of jail shot is the six down the ground against the spinners.

When Fakhar Zaman is supposed to be your chief destroyer with the bat, with his strike rate of 110.

Knee-jerk. The immense criticism of Fakhar, Shadab, Hasan etc is unwarranted. We won’t have a team left if pretty much everyone, bar Malik, is dropped. Also, people here have memories of a goldfish, since Malik was one of our epic failures in the series against New Zealand. Just because he was in his comfort zone here, doesn’t make him untouchable.

This is sadly our best team possible and we have to stick by them. Hope they improve with the tough experiences coming up, and give us better performances. But blimey, this Asia Cup everything went wrong for everyone. I don’t remember the last time we felt so helpless watching this lot :))

When a captain is praised for his tactical acumen after restricting a side from 12-3 to 239.
