Young players to watch out for in PSL 10 (2025)

The Pakistan Super League (PSL 10) is just around the corner, and while the big stars always grab headlines, it’s the emerging young talent that often steals the show!

From explosive batters to fiery bowlers and dynamic all-rounders, this season promises to unveil the next generation of cricket superstars.

Who will be the breakout star? Who will announce themselves on the big stage?

Following are the guys picked in the emerging category for PSL 10:

Quetta Gladiators: Hasan Nawaz and Mohammad Zeeshan

Peshawar Zalmi: Maaz Sadaqat and Ali Raza

Multan Sultans: Shahid Aziz and Ubaid Shah

Islamabad United: Saad Masood and Hunain Shah

Lahore Qalandars: Momin Qamar and Mohammad Azab

Karachi Kings: RiazUllah and Fawad Ali

Last chance saloons for Omair Bin Yousuf. He’s a talented player but isn’t kicking on with the chances he is getting.

Hopefully Muhammad Shahzad gets games in the emerging category and isn’t overwhelmed by the opportunity. We need a tough, mentally strong all rounder coming in.

Hopefully KK don’t mess around with Arafat Minhas, and give him all league games. He is a strong cricketer.

Hassan Nawaz needs to show why he is your man for home conditions, he’s had a tough outing in alien conditions but the potential to be dangerous in these conditions is there for all to see. No excuses.

Here's my wish list for this year

1. A proper spinner that can bat a bit. I'm not asking them to be a 20 average batter, just enough that they don't look like a deer in front of headlights.

2. A spin/pace all rounder. Not Nawaz Shadab Imad type of all rounder but a proper one. Saad Masood, Arafat Minhas, & Ahmed Danyal I'm looking at you guys to step up.

3. A middle order batter. I don't remember a single good middle order batter post Inzi's retirement.

4. One tall fast bowler who can hit the deck hard for an entire spell. Yes I know variation matters and all but someone who hits back of a length all the time is what I need.
