Pakistan Muslim League-Zia (PML-Z) leader Ijazul Haq on Sunday joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Former president Ziaul Haq’s son met PTI Chief Imran Khan at his battered residence at Zaman Park and discussed politics. Mr Haq announced to contest the upcoming elections on PTI’s ticket.

Mr Haq had finished second with 72461 votes in the NA-169 Bahawalnagar’s 2018 general elections against PML-N’s Noorul Hassan Tanvir with 91763 votes.

Saw this in the news just now. Is Imran Khan playing with fire?

Ijaz isn't really comparable to Zia.

It's like comparing Sunil Gavaskar and Rohan as batsmen.

but we all know PTI fans will now justify everything that Zia did. You can bring Altaf to PTI and PTI fans will see Altaf Hussain as a good person and bring reason to his actions

You are just a ridiculous mess right now. The sins of the father keep following its children? At least he is getting out from under the shadow of his father and the goons he created. You continue to support a person who is still hanging on to the Bhutto name.

As a PTI supporter, I’ll never defend Zia. He created most of the evils in our country today. I also refuse to believe people cannot see the light of day. Ijaz did.. good for him.

Comparing him to Altaf is ridiculous. If Altaf wanted to join PTI, and he did then we can have this conversation. But that’s an entirely different scenario, let’s not be daft.

Ijaz ul haq still believes in the fiction that bhutto was out to get his father. The guy is a lunatic just like his dad.

What light has ijaz seen at the end of the day? Dont you bash Bilalwal for getting a govt post cause he is son of someone. Isn't that exactly what Ijaz ul haq have done? He has lived off his fathers name

I’ll give you that. And I’m not going to say PTI doesn’t have goons in it. But I trust IK to do the right thing and keep them in line. I believe people can be reformed under the right environment.

But if he fails to do so and there is a better option on the horizon to vote for, I would ditch Imran and go for them. Loyalties should not be party based, but who is good for the country. They should also not depend upon lineage

LOL you follow the “ideology” of PPP but your president (PDM) is a right winger.

The sharif’s were throwing pictures of Bhutto from the helicopter and now her son is holding hands with them.

Your party and pmln both in the past call each other thieves etc and now you’re all together.

You keep ignoring what your party does and only talk about PTI.

And, the funny thing is you lot call PTI supporters cult followers yet they criticise their own party something you won’t see from your lot.

Another useless position joins PTI. What does he bring to the table?

Looks like he might be trying to rejuvenate his political career when the tide is high - may be he is dreaming that if IK, God forbids,
is assassinated, it will be a good time to compete for the helm - and who knows, few years down the road, emerge as PTI chairman. I won't be surprised if this is what he dreams.

Smart people can see that Nawaz and Gang are finished as a party and PPP has no future,
