I am worried about Pakistan after this Zimbabwe performance. Looking at our batting line up it will be a close series between Pak and Zim

Expect Vitori and Jarvis to nip a few of them out. I suspect Zimbabwe's batting line-up is even more frail than Pakistan's though, so think the latter will edge it.

Pakistan will always be 0-2 when the openers walk out to bat, but your middle-order stars (hopefully YK, Mis and Akmal U all start) should see off the Zimbabweans. Ajmal will be a huge threat with the ball as well - they won't be used to quality spinners like him.

For Zimbabwe to even be in a winning position in this test is a bonus, it's been great to see.

LOL yes, Cook > Taufeeq, but let's be fair, Toffee Kumar isn't that bad: I think he averages close to 40 in Tests, and got a somewhat jammy ton recently in St Kitts (after a zillion dropped chances!).

Yes, I was looking forward to watching this Test. It's been quite interesting. To think the bookies were offering more than 2:1 on Zim at the start! :O

Will definitely be tuning in for the last day's play...go Zimbo!

Bangladesh 154-4.

221 to win in 2.5 sessions. Not impossible but Zimbabwe are certainly heavy favourites.

Taylor will be the mom. Played superbly throughout the game and his captaincy was equally good.

This has been an astonishing performance by Zimbabwe.

Fully deserved for all the work they've put in to sorting out their domestic system and infrastructure, and getting quality coaches on board. Just shows what can be done with the right sort of management.

Fantastic.

Absolute nightmare for Bangladesh though.

Awesome stuff, delighted for the Zimbabwe players :D

i think Zimbos have done well and this is a warning to Pakistan not to be complacent when they turn up to play and tour next month!

Bangla have been a shameful shambles!

hats off to the spirit zimbabweans have shown all these years despite being damaged by so many problems...

they are like the 3rd world pakistani cricket team :P

Razzak is going down all guns fighting, shame rest off his team havent showed same fighting spirit!

on cricinfo...

Rohit: "It seems Abdur Razaak will do Abdul Razaaq here."

is he referring to what he did against rsa? :D

Tamim Iqbal now has ----->

Vitori also brought back, this guys is a seriously good bowler.

ZM players shouldn't be discouraged, they have runs to play with, just keep attacking...

O bloody hell, Pak cable disrupted! Couldn't see the last wkt fall! :po:

No worries, well dome Zimbabweeee! :yahoo

Congrats Zimbabwe.

They played very well. Much deserved victory for them.

Excellent performance.

Great day for the game in all honesty.

Have to stick a little plug in here for my already completed and soon-to-be-published essay on the fall and rise of Zimbabwean cricket...

Jarvis and Vitori both got 5 wickets each in this test!

Jarvis averages 25.60

Vitori 24.40

Congrats to Zimbabwe.

Well played.

Couldnt ask for more in Test return win.

how was the crowd today?

Stadium was pretty empty in the first 4 days though

Based on Shakib's presentation and Tamim's comments yesterday, Bangladesh were going for the win and weren't really contemplating batting for the draw. Whilst the agressive intent is commendable, it also suggests a very naive and inexperienced attitude towards a very high run chase.

Bangladesh could have drawn this game, but it appears as though they didn't even try to.

Congratulations to Zimbabwe. I am very happy at the result.

Feel happy for Zimbabwe - after all they went thro - they came back strong and easily beat Bangladesh!

had they tried to actually play till the end, they would have gotten much closer to the target.

the strategy should have been to conserve wickets, then attack in the last session.
