Had my sehri, this is a lost cause. Zimbabwe are too good for Bangladesh. Disappointed by out poor performance.

brian vettori looks impressive, 4 wickets on debut. was swinging the ball well

bangladesh, despite 11 years of test cricket, have been mediocre. they just arent suited to tests. about time they goit kicked out from tests & were replaced by ireland

Zimbabve 266/4. After reaching 300, they should attack and give ample time for a Result. Atleast 120 overs.

Zimbabve lead by 271 at lunch. They should just bat one more session and then leave 4 sessions to get 10 Bangladesh wickets.

"I don't think that Bangladesh takes its Test cricket very seriously. I think they are happy at home and playing one day cricket. Zimbabwe however takes it Test cricket very seriously and the first-class franchise system is geared up for Test matches." - Wessels

I agree with the bolded comment, Test status should be revoked, Bangladesh should stay away from Test for 6-10 years and make a comeback like Zimbabwe.

if bang are set around 300 to win off of 120 odd overs, it would be interesting to see if they go for it.

BD's bowling look so toothless.... no bite!

Terrible captaincy by Shakib and awful bowling and batting by Bangladesh, not test standards. Bangladesh is making Zimbabwe look like Australia.

Brought on Imrul kayes to bowl, what a shame  bunch of sissies

about time bangladesh got kicked out from tests & were replaced by ireland

bangladesh is just **** when playing outside bangladesh

Just like your India 2 - nil and counting :yk

But Bangladesh is worse both at home and away, while India are HTBs

Finally picked up a wicket, way too late, it only brings the :sachin Chingumbura at the crease. Now a quick 50 by him and Zim can declare.

ZIM 288/5

I think ZIM should set a target of 350. 120 overs should be enough to get BD all out

I think Zimbos will need 4 session to take 10 wickets so need to get their lead up as quickly as possble here!

Zimbvabve leading by 341 runs, taylor nearing his century. They should just declare after his century

Zimbabwe | 5/281 | 88 Overs | Lead by 362 runs | Taylor 98*

Taylor 2 runs away from his first TEST century as a captain.

Bangladesh were overconfidence at the start of the series as they stated himself favorites but now facing the music.

The sparse crowd is singing merrily in anticipation of Taylor's hundred

Taylor gets single on his way to 99.

:14:

Taylor's batting average coming in to this match was 21.10

Now he is touching going above 28.42

its a small crowd, but its a great atmosphere for a test match, great knock as well. zimbots doing good. should declare now tho.

89.3 over
Abdur Razzak to Taylor, FOUR, there it is, and it comes off an emphatic sweep to the backward square leg boundary, a shot he has played so well, maiden Test century on captaincy debut for Brendan Taylor, he soaks up the applause, gets a hug from Ervine, it means a lot to him as he shakes his arms with emotion

probably the last over before tea.

I think ZIM should declare now, they have got enough runs

Day 4 | Tea | Zimbabwe | 5/291 | 92 Overs | Lead by 374 runs | Taylor 105*

A superb maiden Test century from Brendan Taylor, he soaked up all the pressure Bangladesh could put on him last evening and today morning, and capitalised as they wilted in the field. Bangladesh bowled only 23 overs this session, a measure of how they tried to slow things down. They have nothing much to do now other than wait for the declaration and hope that their batsmen can grind out a draw.

What happened to all those English supporters talking Bangladesh's test cricket up? Terrible side, sorry.. terrible.

These two opening bowlers are bowling some peach deliveries especially the McGrath carbon copy Jarvis.

Jarvis is already struggling with his stamina, it would serve him well if he can shorten his run up.

Impressive bowler though.

Tamim Iqbal the only guy in BD line-up with average higher then 40. I think ZIM just took out the biggest hurdle towards victory

Pakistani born Zimbabwean player ... Sikander Raza Butt in the middle...watching BD chase 375 runs with Grant Fowler;

Well done Brendon Taylor :14: He's very impressive.

Btw, where are you lot watching this?

Jarvis's action is very similar to Glen McGrath.

Any...how we say.....links?

Code:
Day 1	264 runs for 2 wickets
Day 2	213 runs for 11 wickets
Day 3	272 runs for 11 wickets
Day 4	313 runs for 4 wickets
Day 5 263 runs needed with 7 wickets

Very interesting declaration by Zimbabwe....

By taking 3 wickets, Zimbabwe has edge now but in my opinion all three results are possible....since BD has very long tail!

No way are Bangladesh winning this.

The wicket celebrations from Zim are priceless!

If BD lose this than ICC should seriously think about revoking their test status cause if they can't even draw against a side which is playing test cricket after six years than they have no hopes of even competing with the big boys.

looking at bangladesh performance here, about time they were kicked out from tests & were replaced by ireland

bangladesh arent suited to tests. batsmen avging <25 & bowlers avging >65 :))) :))) :)))

Tough to make any excuse for Bangladesh or defend the team at this moment. But well thats what a fan does. The domestic structure is still crap and we have 0 match practice while Zims have been recently playing against South Africa A team and Australias A team in 4 day matches. How important is match practice? Ask the Indian team in England right now. Ask the Sri Lankan team after their first test in England.

In our lead up to the 2007 world cup we have been playing quite regularly ODIs against the likes of Kenya, Zimbabwe and even had a match against Bermuda/Canada if I remember. Not tough opponents, but we got the required match practice and won matches too which gives the youngsters confidence and brings the team together. Result : We won our opening match against a much stronger team.

Nothing to take away from Zimbabwe. They have been excellent. And I love the enthusiasm they are showing. But keep giving Bangladesh test matches every 14 months, knowing that their domestic structure is crap too, then I promise, in 3011 the team will remain the way it is.

Can just hope that they put up a fight tomorrow.
