As usual, now Equinox will not turn up till Tamim does well again lol
I went to pray. Tamim received an absolute peach from Vitori.I haven't been watching since. Nafees was looking tentative early on but he seems to have settled down. Hope these two can build a strong partnership. The pitch is not as flat and batting-friendly as it was yesterday. Ten wickets down today already.

Jarvis action is so similar to McGrath...like a carbon copy.

Bdesh steady 96 - 2.

Ray Price to ashraful when ashraful taking ages getting ready:

" Take your time - we got all night mate"

Lol

Day 1 and Day 2 belonged to Zimbabwe, what a great start after six years gap. It was great to see them bat and bowl better than Bangladesh. Bangladeshi players hasn't achieved anything yet they keep talking big. I want Zimbabwe to beat them and shut these bunch of fools.

Come on ... have faith in your countrymen. :shakib

There's a limit my brother 58, 78 not too long ago. Gave up a chase of 270 against Australia and settled for 220 and now playing like Kenya. Don't have faith in the current bunch. Waiting to see some youngsta beauties :waqar

Hey atleast Ashraful got a start.

You never know - he may hit a century tomorrow.

The passion is greater than the frustration. :mrpak

The good times will come again. :amir

Most likely this game will end up in a draw but Even a draw should be a disappointing result for the BD team/fans

It won't be a draw. The pitch is opening up to the bowlers. It was a complete road on Day 1 but yesterday it offered a lot more to the bowlers. 11 wickets fell yesterday. It is still a batting wicket and anyone willing to apply themselves will get runs. Zimbabwe are on top, they have a healthy lead and have already sent back the top 3 including Tamim and Nafees who was looking good. Bangladesh will look to get as close to Zimbabwe's total as possible and then bowl well to dismiss Zimbabwe for a chaseable target. Shakib was beginning to get some turn and bounce towards the end of the Zim innings. He should be much more troubling in their second innings.

is the wicket totally flat? Could be that Zim might have prepared such a wicket for a relatively easy return to test cricket

I hope it is otherwise there's no excuse for Bangladesh's spineless performance so far

Yep wicket was pretty flat but it offered movement in the 1st hour, robiul was bowling 2 good balls and 4 boundary balls, and shafiul was bowling plain rubbish, didn't make the batsmen play the deliveries and wasted the new ball advantage. Shakib should have opted to bat first as the ball turns more on the 5th day, but I think he was too scared as we bundled out twice in the practice match under 200.

seems like the bangladesh boys have regressed as cricketers over the last year or so. They are better than this.

Team needs to bring in 3-4 new players who arent hauunted by memories of past failures.

Whose the new coach btw?

You make a valid point brother. The new coach is Stuart Law.

Oh man Ash is nervous on getting to his 50, playing like Shakib  Play your natural game ash

walking wicket shakib comes to the crease, another headless chicken, give some support to Ash, don't just throw your wicket shakib

ey up, Ash and Shak batting now and the ace Mushy still to come. Zimbabwe are just as prone to collapse as the boys from Bangladesh too. Anyone can win this.

@pak prince - Shakib is our best batsman, eventhough he could have had more centuries, I remember him getting out for 96 which was unlucky as it clearly bounced in front of mcculum and once got stumped on 96 against england  and another 96 against windies lol. He's a good all rounder, but tamim is the best batsman in our side. Overall Shakib is the best you are right.

I am just nervous whenever our players bats. Anything can happen.

The quality of the camera is so poor, I miss England vs India test matches also world class commentators like bumble

Brendon Taylor is such a better captain than Shakib, his field placings has been excellent, good observant. Ash shouldn't fall for the trap. Shakib learn something

Bangla in a spot of bother at 271-8, Rubel and Shafiul at the crease.

Vitori bowls a lot like our :wahab

Jarvis getting consistent seam movement, impressive.

:out

Shafiul bowled, what a cracker from Jarvis!

:asif style!

Bangla trail by 95, last wicket pair at the crease.

the zim team is very impressive considering they havent played a test for six years. if they manage there cricket well i can see them becoming competitive like they were in the mid 90s.

jarvis, vetori, mpofu and price are a decent bowling attack all things considered.

ZImbabwe has been so impressive on their return. The bowlers have looked skillful, energetic and the team looks determined. Bangla on the other hand were complacent. The shots which Ashraful, Mahmudullah and Shakib played to get out were lethargic shots and showd a lack of concentration.

With about a 85-90 run lead, Zim have a great chance of putting on another 200-225 runs and then be the favorites to win this test. But somehow I get a feeling Zim will crumble in the 2nd innings and BD will chase around 250-260 in the 4th innings to win.

Indeed ER, have been quite good.

Zimbos might give us a tough time :yk

As good as Zim have been, Ajmal alone will be good enough to take them on. Don't see the Zim batsman handling him properly in the test match unless they prepare an absolute road.

thats exactly what i was thinking, if they make pitches favourable to their attack i can see some of our batsmen struggling.

the most impressive thing is that they look very professional, clearly none of their players are world beating standard but they have all chipped in and everyone is doing their bit.

the fielding standards are a shame tho considering how good they used to be back with the old zim team.

Good crowd in and they are having fun.

The facilities for the general public seem to be much better than what we get on our grounds.

And as I write this, Price gets the no 11.

it will be very interesting to see how aggressive zim batsmen are, because this is a great opportunity for them to win, but they will need to bat around 3.5 to set bangla a ~300 run target by lunch tommorow.

I cannot believe this Bangladesh team is allowed to play test cricket.

They do not value what they have been gifted, not earned.

Kick them out for 5 years.

Look at how hard Zimbabwe is fighting, having just returned after so long.

feck off

Zimbabwe 175/4

Need to pick up the remaining six wickets for 40 runs, shakib should bowl more, razzak should be locked into the locker room. Match is in Zimbabwe's hand, if they score another 100 runs, we are done and dusted.

Zimbabwe in a good posiion to ram home their advantage. Another 100 runs will really give them a fantastic chance to win the Test.

Zimbabwe are batting sensibly, advantage Zimbabwe.

Terrible fielding so far. Missing Big Z in slips.

Zimbabve 114/4 lead by 197 runs. They need atleast 100 more runs and they will be in driving seat.

Taylor playing shakib with ease, don't see us picking up these two, they are as solid as rock.

When will we produce fit bowlers like Anderson and Tremlet

hate watching spinners except for Warny

Its really annoying that they arent developing fter the amount of exposure they are getting. From 1999-2011 is a big time and still they are minnows.
