GWADAR: The outlawed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack on Pearl Continental in Gwadar.

“Our men from Majeed Brigade stormed the hotel building and targeted Chinese engineers and foreign investors staying at the hotel,” said BLA spokesperson Jerand Baloch.

“Hamal Fateh Baloch aka Habib, 35, of the Murree tribe along with Manseeb Baloch aka Karim Baloch and Kachkol Baloch aka Commando made an attempt to carry out the armed attack on foreign nationals,” Jerand added.

However, all attackers were gunned down after retaliatory fire from security forces.

The BLA had earlier named Hamal Fateh Baloch as one of the missing persons on its website and had alleged that he had been held by the security forces. However, Hamal Fateh, son of Qadir Khan Murree, was identified among one of the dead bodies of the Gwadar hotel attack terrorists.

As a result, BLA’s missing persons’ list proved wrong while the claim of security forces that the terrorist was not in their custody proved right and was rather undergoing terror training at one of the BLA’s farrari camps.

However, the Baloch leaders had been denying the claims of the security forces during sessions of the missing persons’ commission formed on the demand of Baloch parties.

The Baloch leaders insisted that Hamal was detained by the security forces. Consequently, the lists of missing persons produced by BLA and other Baloch parties proved fake and inaccurate.

On the other side, the stance of security forces that most of those named in the missing persons’ list were youth undergoing terror training at BLA camps under the supervision of Indian agencies proved true.

It is pertinent to mention that the security for Pakistan-China Economic Corridor project was handed over to Pakistan Army to thwart any Indian-sponsored terrorist network attack in Balochistan.

Stringent security measures by the Pakistan Army foiled the nefarious Indian design to sabotage the mega development project as Indian-sponsored BLA failed to target Chinese engineers and foreign investors residing in Gwadar.

Last week, 14 people, including 11 security personnel, were martyred in a terrorist attack in Ormara, Gwadar.

After details pertaining to the attack on the hotel and BLA claiming responsibility, Pakistan government’s stance that spy agencies from India and some other countries were conspiring to sabotage development projects like CPEC and Gwadar Port proved true on the international level.

Pakistan Army is defeating all nefarious designs of enemy forces.

Founder of the Overseas Pakistani Baloch Unity Dr Jumma Khan Murree and other officials of the party have strongly condemned the attack, terming it an attack on the future of patriotic Baloch as “CPEC is a project which will bring development and prosperity not only in Balochistan, but the whole country”. They said the Baloch opposing the project were enemies of the province.

Dr Jumma paid rich tribute to Pakistan Army for staving off the terrorist attack and prayed for the martyrs of the incident.

A moment silence for "army behind everything" brigade...

It's a well known fact. Almost all of the BLA is filled with missing persons.

But obviously, "some" don't want to talk about this :)

Pak has also treated the Baloch people poorly. This leaves a vacuum that external forces will exploit for their own good.
