‘Super king’ General Bajwa - Zardari says he called Bajwa’s takeover bluff

The fuel subsidy under pti was from March 1 to April 9, 2022.

If the PDM truly felt it was a bad populist decision then they should have had the balls to reverse it immediately upon resuming power. However they didn't and they continued with the subsidy themselves till June 2022 when they had no choice but to reverse it.

Apparently it's not 70 years of looting by the mafia but a subsidy that last less than a month. The pathetic levels of the posts show how short of excuses the illiterate goat herders are these days. Miftah destroyed Dar and these crooks.

I am no pdm fan. But have you seen the people imran khan selected . Minister of technology?? Chief minister of Punjab ? Ramens raja ? Don’t you consider all these guys incompetent also?

Imran writes to Alvi demanding ‘immediate inquiry’ against Gen Bajwa

Former prime minister Imran Khan on Thursday asked President Arif Alvi to “institute an immediate inquiry” against retired General Qamar Javed Bajwa for violating “his oath of office repeatedly” as the army chief.

In a letter dated Feb 14, Imran listed four ways in which the former army chief allegedly violated the Constitution, while also referring to Gen Bajwa’s alleged remarks published in a column by Javed Chaudhry as purported evidence for his claim.

PTI leader Shireen Mazari also announced her party chief’s move on her Twitter account, sharing pictures of the said letter.

Citing Chaudhry’s column, Imran wrote that Gen Bajwa had “admitted to journalist Javed Chaudhry that ‘we’ considered Imran Khan [to be] dangerous to the country if he continued to stay in power”.

He added that it would be “critical to ascertain” from Gen Bajwa that who did he refer to as “we”. The former premier raised the question, “Who gave him (Gen Bajwa) the power to decide that an elected prime minister (Imran) was supposedly a ‘danger to the country if he continued to stay in power’?”

The PTI chief asserted: “Only the people through elections can decide who they want to elect as the prime minister. Taking such a right on himself is in clear violation of his oath as given in Third Schedule Article 244 of the Constitution.”

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan on Thursday asked President Arif Alvi to order an immediate inquiry against former chief of army staff General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa for “violating his oath and Constitution of Pakistan.”

In a letter dated Feb 14, Imran Khan referred to an article of journalist Javed Chaudhry in which startling revelations were made attributing General (retd) Bajwa.

“Some very disturbing information has now come into the public domain whereby it is clear that Gen retd Bajwa as COAS violated his oath of office repeatedly,” the PTI chief stated in a letter written to the president on Thursday.

“He [Mr Bajwa] has admitted to journalist Javed Ch that ‘we’ (and it would be critical to ascertain from him who was the ‘we’ in reference to) considered Imran Khan dangerous to the country if he continued to stay in power,” Khan told the President in the letter.

“The question that arises is who gave him the power to decide that an elected PM was supposedly a ‘danger to the country if he continued to stay in power’. Only the people through elections can decide who they want to elect as PM.”

“Taking such a right on himself is in clear violation of his oath as given in Third Schedule Article 244 of the Constitution,” he stressed.

In the letter, Imran also mentioned Gen Bajwa’s alleged admission that he “managed to get NAB (National Accountability Bureau) case against Shaukat Tarin dismissed”.

“Regardless of the merits of his claims in this case, he has also admitted he managed to get NAB case against Shaukat Tarin dismissed revealing that NAB was under his control – again a clear violation of the Constitutional oath because the army itself is a department under the Ministry of Defence and civilian official autonomous institutions do not come military control,” Khan wrote.

Imran Khan, who is currently facing multiple cases in different courts, said that it was the Constitutional duty of the President and as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to “take immediate action and institute an inquiry so as to establish whether such grave violations of the Constitution and oath of Office under the Constitution have taken place”.

The United States has reiterated that the security relationship with Pakistan is 'important' and that many of the threats that Islamabad faces "could well in turn be threats to us".

However, Washington shied away from confirming reports of a possible resumption of security cooperation with Islamabad which was suspended during the Trump era.

State Department Spokesperson Ned Price, when asked about the visit of a defense delegation from Pakistan and the rumored resumption of security cooperation, stated that Islamabad is "valued across many realms".

Refraining from providing any details on the matter, Price said that “Pakistan is a valued partner of the United States. Of course, we have a security relationship that is important to us knowing that many of the threats Pakistan faces could well in turn be threats to us. And so we value the work we do together, but I’m just not in a position to offer anything beyond that.”

During the briefing, in response to another question, the spokesperson also reiterated the US’s resolve to support “the peaceful upholding of democratic, constitutional, and legal principles” and that it values the “longstanding cooperation with Pakistan” that it enjoys.

Speaking specifically about former prime minister Imran Khan’s decision to back-track on his claims that the US was behind his ouster, Price said “we do not let propaganda, misinformation, disinformation get in the way of any bilateral relationship. […] When it comes to various political players inside of Pakistan, we don’t have a position on one political candidate or party versus another.”

Bajwa cost PTI atleast 20 more seats what are you on about

Haha you are funny! As per bbc in July 2018 - With two days to go before the election, unexpected public defiance, especially in Punjab, a PML-N stronghold and hitherto a bastion of military power, has led to redoubled efforts to tip the scales in favour of the security establishment's favourite, Imran Khan.

PTI senior leader Dr Shireen Mazari has claimed that former army chief (retired) General Qamar Javed Bajwa wanted to “resettle” members of the proscribed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the country, following Afghan Taliban’s takeover of Kabul in August 2021.

Mazari made these remarks on Dawn News programme ‘Doosra Rukh’, which will air at 7pm today. The statement from the former minister comes at a time when there has been a substantial increase in terror activities across the country, with an attack on the Karachi police chief’s office on Friday night being the latest incident.

The hours-long combat between terrorists and law-enforcement agencies, at the office located at Sharea Faisal, left four people martyred and 16 injured while all three terrorists were reported to be killed.

During the interview, Mazari said, “Bajwa at one point brought up the matter (of Taliban) — General Faiz was also present at the time — that there are Pakistani nationality families in the TTP who want to return to the country.

“If they accept the Constitution and lay down their arms, something should be done for some sort of resettlement and talks should be held.”

The PTI leader added a meeting was called as the resettlement suggestion had caused an “immediate reaction from the elected PTI members”.

“It was clearly decided that before initiating a dialogue, a committee will be formed between the elected representatives and the military to form a consensus as our elected people have a lot of reservations.”

Mazari said the PTI had demanded that first, a consensus should be reached and then a dialogue with the TTP should be initiated.

She then lamented that afterwards, the PTI government was ousted and the current government “did not care about what dialogue was to be held with whom”.

The former MNA asserted that the blame for failing to deal with the TTP would “fall not on us but the imported government”.

The PTI leader insisted that Gen Faiz had made a visit “in the beginning to talk to the Afghan government” and not the Taliban.

‘All options open’
Additionally, when asked about PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s demand seeking legal action against Gen Bajwa for alleged violation of the Constitution, Mazari said that the party “had all options open to it”.

She said, “By the way, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has admitted that when he was the prime minister, there was interference back then as well and Bajwa was not letting him do many things; so, this is nothing new.

“When the Constitution is violated, whichever Article is violated, there is the option to take action against the violator. So, let’s see what the President says.”

When asked if there was any threat given to Imran from Gen Bajwa, Mazari responded, “It has been heard that he gave a lot of threats. I was also present in many meetings [but] I do not want to say anything right now. Everything will come forward at its time.”

She refrained from giving further details saying the PTI cared that “many things are sensitive and confidential for the country” even if Gen Bajwa did not do so. “Do not push us so much that we are forced to tell everything,” she added.

The PTI leader said she knew “whatever used to be said about the United States and India” through what was discussed during parliament briefings.

When asked if the former army chief was in favour of India in any way, Mazari replied, “I would only say that when the proposal surfaced to start trade with India, it was the Cabinet’s decision that until India steps back from its illegal actions of Aug 5, we cannot talk with it.”

When asked further if Gen Bajwa thought the contrary about the trade, she said, “Probably; the proposal did stem from somewhere.”

“Bajwa sahib said himself ‘I had arranged [matters] and a meeting was also being held but then Khan sahib said the meeting of national security advisors could not take place neither could trade’,” she added.

The PTI chief had in the past defended his plan to resettle TTP families in the country, saying the “returning fighters had many issues that needed to be resolved for peace in the province” and that reaching an agreement was the better option compared to the only other choice of killing them all.

He had linked the surge in terror incidents across Pakistan with his removal from power and held the incumbent PDM government responsible for derailing the peace process.

“When the Afghan war ended… some 30,000 to 40,000 Pakistani tribal fighters wanted to come back,” Imran had said, adding all stakeholders, inclu*ding local leaders, had been taken on board regarding their resettlement in the country.

“The PTI government had two options: either kill all of them or reach an agreement with them and allow them to settle in the province. These returning fighters had many issues that needed to be resolved for peace in the province,” he had said, underlining that the process was ongoing when the “infamous regime cha*nge operation removed” him from power.

Faiz Hameed’s remnants in institution still supporting Imran: Maryam
PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz says it wasn't "the institution", but some people within it had Imran Khan's back

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Senior Vice-President and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz on Saturday said remnants of General (R) Faiz Hameed still exist in the institution and are supporting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan till date.

“He is still being facilitated by the remnants of the previous establishment, as their interests are interlinked,” Maryam said while speaking in an interview to Geo News programme Jirga hosted by Saleem Safi.

Commenting on Khan’s resistance to appear in the court for the numerous cases against him, Maryam said this was the first time she had witnessed that a politician was not adhering to the court orders despite repetitive reminders. She added that the judiciary had judges who were honest and full of integrity, but there still exists “some remnants” of the former Inter-Services Intelligence chief through which “they operated”.

“Not the institution, but some people are supporting Imran,” she elaborated, claiming that the cricketer-turned-politician was still involved in “deals” and, therefore, wasn’t appearing before the courts.

Continuing to mock Khan, the PMLN senior vice-president said that while he can go to Rawalpindi for his party’s gathering with his injured leg, he “cannot appear before the court”. The politician added that if fingers are raised at the judiciary, it will have to conduct its accountability.

Speaking about the way Khan was facilitated to form a government in the past, Maryam said: “People of our party and those from others were separated to create his party. Those who didn’t support him were selectively disqualified.” She claimed that the deposed prime minister’s government was guided for four years. “Money was brought from abroad for them when they needed it,” the PML-N scion said.

Maryam deemed the content of the alleged audio leaks of former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as bench fixing. “I said long ago that bench fixing is happening. Pervaiz Elahi’s leaked audio is its evidence.” In response to another query, Maryam said that the PMLN and PTI cannot be compared at all. Slamming Khan, she said, “You offered an extension to Gen (R) Qamar Javed Bajwa.”

Former prime minister Imran Khan on Friday said he was ready to talk to Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir “for the betterment of the country”, stressing he has “no quarrel with the establishment”.

In a wide-ranging discussion with reporters at his Zaman Park residence in Lahore, he touched upon politics, his ties with the military, his frustration with retired army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa and why he chose not to fly to Islamabad for court hearings.

The remarks come hours after President Arif Alvi announced April 30 as the date for elections in Punjab, a demand the PTI has been pushing.

When asked why he was not speaking to the “establishment” — a euphemism for the military — he said he never had a quarrel with the establishment, and it was Gen Bajwa that “stabbed me in the back”.

He added that even after he lost his government, he spoke to Gen Bajwa for the betterment of the country. “But it was General Bajwa who wanted to crush me,” he said. “But if anyone thinks that I will bend the knee, that cannot happen.”

Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has sparked controversy by calling for former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa to be “court-martialed” for delivering an anti-Russia speech.

Speaking to journalists in Lahore on Friday, Imran also accused the country’s establishment of having no understanding of politics and claimed that Bajwa had “stabbed him in the back” by condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Express News reported.

The former PM was referring to a speech delivered by Bajwa at the Islamabad Security Dialogue in November of last year.

In his speech, Bajwa had criticised Russia’s actions, stating that its invasion of Ukraine must be "stopped immediately". "Despite legitimate security concerns of Russia, its aggression against a smaller country cannot be condoned," he had remarked.

The former prime minister has been highly critical of former military chief Gen Bajwa ever since he was ousted from power last year, accusing him of being responsible for the country’s current predicament.

Imran has claimed that Gen (retd) Bajwa used to call the shots, while he, as the prime minister, was at the receiving end of all the criticism. “He was a super king. He was above everyone. He was controlling NAB [National Accountability Bureau (NAB)] and no one could be held accountable without Bajwa's nod.”

“I was the punching bag while they [the establishment] had the absolute power. Bajwa took credit of all good things, while we were blamed for everything that went wrong,” he said. “The money laundering case against [Prime Minister] Shehbaz Sharif could not proceed because Bajwa did not want it,” he said.

Referring to a recent article based on the former army chief's interview, Imran had said everyone already knew that the former army chief had toppled his government but "I did not expect that he would have admitted to this".

Not a fan of pdm, and if I had to vote I would vote for imran. Just because of the awful choices we have. However to say imran was a great leader is so far off ground reality.

He is a great leader. What in your definition is a great leader?

A retired general on Saturday discarded the former army chief’s pledge that the military would remain out of Pakistani politics, saying he did not attach any importance to what an outgoing chief said.

“Why did [Imran Khan] give an extension to Gen Bajwa? Why did Asif Ali Zardari give an extension to [Gen] Kiyani? I believe that the military should stay neutral and not meddle in politics, but remember that you cannot switch it off,” retired Gen Haroon Aslam said.

Addressing the audience during a session on ‘Civil Military Relations: Co-existence or Confron*ta*tion’ at the Future of Pakistan Conference 2023 — hosted by the student union of the London School of Economics — he also blamed Pakistan’s political leadership for allowing the military to meddle in politics, saying that while the military was not proactively trying to interfere, it was the “civilian component” that gave importance to the military.

When asked about the long-term applicability of retired Gen Bajwa’s farewell pledge of neutrality from the army, Gen Aslam did not mince his words. “I don’t attach any credence to that. He played his innings, then at the end said this. There is no importance of what an outgoing chief says.”

Gen Aslam was the senior-most at the time of former army chief Gen Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani’s retirement. Before that, he remained DG military operations and Bahawalpur corps commander.

Have evidence against Faiz Hameed not Bajwa: Maryam
Remnants of Lt General (retd) Faiz Hameed still exist in institution and are supporting PTI Chairman Imran Khan till date, says Maryam on Naya Pakistan

PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz says that she does not have evidence related to former army chief General (retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa, but has evidence related to Lieutenant General (retired) Faiz Hameed, the former director-general of the Inter Services Intelligence.

Nawaz while speaking on Geo News programme 'Naya Pakistan' said that no movement was a bigger failure than the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) 'Jail Bharo Tehreek (court arrest movement)'. "They [PTI leadership] kept telling their workers to fill up the jails and were sitting at home themselves out of fear," she said.

"Imran Khan said the 'Jail Bharo Tehreek' was successful, but I have never seen such a failed movement in history," she said, adding that the PTI chair had plastered his leg for fear of going to jail.

Her remarks against Imran came after high drama continued at the PTI chair's Zaman Park residence for hours on Sunday after the Islamabad Police arrived there for his arrest in the Toshakhana case and he successfully evaded his capture.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan said on Thursday that he doesn’t “need the establishment”, adding that he was willing to talk with everyone except “thieves”.

In an interview with BBC Urdu, the premier said that he only wanted elections to be held in the country as per the law and the Constitution, adding that he was willing to speak to anyone in this regard but did not need “crutches”.

“I was asked if I would speak to the establishment if they wanted to talk. I said I’m a political person, I will talk to everyone except thieves,” Imran said, an apparent reference to the coalition government.

The publication reported the PTI chairman as saying that he never invited Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir or Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to sit down for talks.

He will never come to power without Establishment’s blessing(due to their hold on elections), plus he is literally making himself a target here, very dangerous times for him right now, many posters thought that was last year but it seems much more dangerous currently due to desperation of Establishment and PDM.

Absolute shambles is the media literally everyone is silent or not covering news of absolute targeting of IK, extreme bias among media right now.

Someone has to stand up to the establishment and take them on. Pakistan needs to follow Turkey's footsteps in ending the power of the Millitary in Islamabad.

Ties with army no different under new brass: Imran

• Accuses govt of plotting to keep him away from canvassing; says Qureshi to lead if he is arrested
• FIR registered against PTI chief, party workers over Lahore violence
• Quetta magistrate issues non-bailable warrants for ex-PM

LAHORE: Soon after Lahore police booked him in a case under anti-terrorism law and a Quetta court issued non-bailable warrants for him, PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday ruled out talks with “looters of national wealth”, but offered conditional negotiations with anyone amongst the powers that be.

However, when asked if anything has changed for him after the change of command in the army, he said nothing had changed, rather the “excesses” against him and his party were increasing.

“My political rivals want to play the match with PTI after removing its captain, considering it will improve their chances to win the match,” he told BBC Urdu.

Referring to the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, Mr Khan said, “We fear that the government is planning for some high-profile murder to move out of the election process”.

In separate engagements on Thursday, the former prime minister elaborated that as a politician, he could go into parleys “but only for the purpose of holding the general elections across the country in one go as polls for the two provinces have already been announced”.

Mr Khan said he doesn’t need to talk to anyone because he does not need any “crutches” as the people of Pakistan stood by his party against all odds.

Explaining his original stance on meeting the army chief, Mr Khan said elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were already on the cards. “There is no other issue that I want to discuss with any political force or the establishment except the free and fair elections to drive the country out of current political and economic crises,” he emphasised.

The issue is that we cannot trust IK anymore. If he can make Pervaiz Elahi the president of PTI then he can do anything good and worst whichever suits him the most. Very desperate and tragic times for PTI and Pakistan as he is the most followed leader in this region. He is no more than a cult in Pakistani Politics

The most frustrating part in IK future episodes is that he will sit just right behind Army if he is get power again.

Declined deal offer by Bajwa: Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday said he was offered premiership by former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa prior to 2018 general election, but he declined.

In an interview with senior anchorperson Hamid Mir in Geo News show ‘Capital Talk’, Shehbaz said he had a meeting with Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa in which former ISI chief Gen (retd) Naveed Mukhtar and Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed were also present.

When the anchorperson asked if they wanted to have a deal, the prime minister answered in affirmative, adding that he told them that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Quaid Nawaz Sharif was his elder brother, a fatherly figure and his leader, and “I give my point of view to him. It’s his grandeur that sometimes he accepts and sometimes doesn’t.”

“I told the meeting that if somebody thinks that I would become the prime minister by stabbing my brother, I will sacrifice ten such premierships.”

When Shehbaz was told had he not refused, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan would not have become the prime minister, the PMLN president agreed to that.

The prime minister spoke at length on multiple national issues, including the one-year performance of his government, the economic situation, elections, Toshakhana record, party matters as well as probe into the murder of anchorperson Arshad Sharif.

The prime minister said staff-level agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would reach within a few days as the government had accepted even the “toughest” conditions put by the global financial institution.

This just proves that PMLN has always been looking for back door deals with the army. Nawaz Sharif was a puppet, do you even remember what the fall out between the army and PMLN was in 2018?

And even now Shehbaz is nothing but a puppet. No legitimacy to his government when he didn't come with the people's mandate. That's why the IMF continues to push the point that make sure Imran Khan (the real leader) agrees to these terms

how does this prove that? When PMLN said no to it?

So tomr a player gets an offer to fix a game and he says no, you will say this proves that the player is a fixer because someone made him a offer?

Ignoring the fact that the guy said no?

post 1999, Nawaz stopped being a puppet. That was a position that PMLQ took and than PTI was bestowed with that privilege.

If the player is willingly meeting the fixer but then gets exposed, yea he's gonna tell a story which is exactly what this is. Fact is they wanted to stay in power and possibly the establishment even tried helping them by sabotaging Imran Khan. The NROs they got are further proof that they've been fixing. This is why they're shying away from elections because they know IK is even more popular than before. Deal or not, they can't beat him in a legit contest hence why they're trying to get rid of him

“Banana republic” :))

Can anyone explain to him what this term actually means? He clearly has no idea and is using it just because he heard it somewhere.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday strongly condemned the “vile campaign” against the Pakistan Army and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir abroad and called on overseas Pakistanis to raise their voices against it.

“The campaign against the army chief is intolerable and a continuation of the conspiracy against the institutions,” he said in a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

He said that “toxic politics” was being spread through overseas Pakistanis.

The premier called on patriotic Pakistanis living abroad to raise their voices against the “foreign-funded campaign” and not become a part of such conspiracies.

In his statement, PM Shehbaz also stated that PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan was dragging state institutions and their heads into his dirty politics, which was against the Constitution.

He instructed the interior minister that those behind such anti-institution campaigns within the country should be dealt with “iron hands”.

“Strict legal action should be taken against those who instigate chaos, riots and rebellion in Pakistan,” the premier stressed, adding that the nation stood by its institutions and was united against evildoers.

The PMO statement comes a day after hundreds of Pakistanis Americans gathered outside the White House on Sunday, ignoring freezing cold and biting winds, to demand an end to the government’s actions against Imran.

During the demonstration, one of the protesters said that the “establishment must realise its mistake”. Another PTI supporter said: “Now is the time for the establishment to accept civilian supremacy.”

A statement distributed at the gathering also urged the international community to take action by calling on the installed regime in Pakistan to immediately cease “violations” of fundamental human rights, stop “custodial torture” by security agencies, hold free and fair elections in Punjab and KP, cease victimisation of political opponents through arrests and false charges, withdraw all politically motivated cases, stop curtailing press freedom, cease subjecting peaceful protestors to police brutality and release all political workers being held in custody on frivolous and trumped-up charges, provide adequate security to Imran Khan, and hold those responsible for the atrocities accountable under the law.

Former prime minister Imran Khan has accused the ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) coalition of attempting to pit his political party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), against the country's armed forces.

Imran has claimed that the PDM is orchestrating a campaign to incite a quarrel between the PTI and the army in an attempt to eliminate his party, which he said they cannot defeat in the elections.

“Efforts are being made to make PTI and the army come face to face. PDM is trying hard to incite quarrel between PTI and the army as these people [PDM] cannot win the elections so they want to eliminate PTI,” he said this while addressing the media from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore on Monday.

SHEIKH RASHEED, IMRAN KHAN AMONG COUNTRY’S BIGGEST LIARS: QAMAR BAJWA

The former army chief General Retired Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed are among the ‘country’s biggest liars’.

The former army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa was interviewed by journalist Shahid Maitla. According to the Naya Daur website, Bajwa gave clarification about some actions that were carried out during his tenure.

He told Shahid Maitla said there are three liars in Pakistan which include Imran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed and a journalist. He added that Khan was an expert in telling lies and a very clever man. Bajwa said that people usually believe in the lies of Imran Khan.

To another question, Bajwa replied, “Sheikh Rasheed makes tall claims as if he has insider information and has reach to inner circles at GHQ but in reality, he has no such clout.”

The ex-army chief said that Sheikh Rasheed had once met him and complained about Imran Khan’s failure to rule the country.

About the raid at a Karachi hotel room after political sloganeering at Quaid’s mausoleum, Bajwa revealed that General Faiz Hameed had ordered to file a case at that time.

He clarified, “I had not ordered to break the door of Maryam Nawaz’s room. “At the time of the police raid, Captain Safdar and Maryam Nawaz were present in separate rooms,” clarified Bajwa.

Predecessor used ‘Dawn leaks’ to get extension, claims Gen Bajwa

FORMER army chief retired Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa has reportedly said that there was nothing credible in the furore created over a Dawn story published in 2016, claiming that the issue was hyped up by his predecessor in a bid to secure an extension from then-prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

The claim surfaced in the second part of the former army chief’s interview with journalist Shahid Maitla, published on Wednesday by the news website Pakistan24.tv.

In his latest article, the journalist claims the former army chief rejected the impression that the ‘Dawn leaks’ saga, as it came to be known, posed any threat to national security.

The Dawn story in question contained an account of a meeting between the country’s civilian and military leadership, where the government told the brass that it should act against militants or the country would have to face international isolation.

In the wake of its publication, civil and military officials had called the story ‘fabricated and concocted’ and a committee headed by a retired judge and consisting of members of the country’s intelligence agencies, was formed to inquire into the matter.

“In fact there was nothing in the Dawn leaks,” Mr Maitla quoted the former army chief as saying in response to a question.

“But wherever I would meet them, junior officers would ask me about [the issue]. I then talked to Chaudary Nisar [then-interior minister] and Ishaq Dar [then-finance minister] and suggested that they refer the cases of journalists [allegedly involved in the Dawn leaks affair] to CPNE because I didn’t want to stir that hornet’s nest. And then administrative action was decided against others. Nawaz Sharif wasn’t convinced over Pervaiz Rasheed but finally he agreed. Then it was decided to sack Pervaiz Rasheed and Tariq Fatemi.”

Gen Bajwa is also said to have referred to his conversation with Nawaz Sharif, when the former prime minister told him about his predecessor Gen Raheel Sharif, who he said was insisting on a three-year extension, along with former DG ISI Rizwan Akhtar.

“When I talked to Nawaz Sharif about Dawn leaks, he told me that whenever Gen Raheel Sharif and Gen Rizwan Akhtar came to see him, they insisted for three-year extension of Gen. Raheel,” Gen. Bajwa was quoted as saying in the interview.

“In front of Gen Raheel, Gen Rizwan was always insisted on a three-year extension for the army chief. But in private, he only asked for a one-year extension because he saw himself as the next army chief after Gen. Raheel.”

IHC approached for criminal case against Gen Bajwa

A petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking registration of a criminal case against former army chief retired Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, ex-director general Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Faiz Hameed and two journalists for making certain revelations in an interview of the ex-army chief.

The registrar office of the IHC, however, raised objections on the petition and asked the petitioner to first approach the appropriate forum.

Atif Ali in his petition contended that the interview of Gen Bajwa was conducted in a “reckless” manner and the journalists, Javed Chaudhry and Shahid Maitla, did not show any sense of responsibility in publishing them.

The petition said the revelations made in the interview were a violation of the Official Secret Act and tantamount to inciting mutiny and disharmony.

It requested the court to issue directions to the director general of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to register an FIR against Gen Bajwa, Gen Faiz and the two journalists.

Besides, it also sought directions to Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) to impose a ban on these two journalists.

Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday alleged that former chief of army staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa had put pressure on him as he “wanted friendship with India”, ARY News reported.

Talking to a delegation of journalists at his residence in Lahore’s Zaman Park, the former premier called Qamar Bajwa a ‘liar’, saying that the former army chief should be held accountable by the army.

Imran Khan also denied any role being played by President Arif Alvi between the establishment and his party, saying that PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Pervaiz Elahi have been tasked to reestablish contacts with other political parties.

IMRAN KHAN SAYS NEVER OFFERED ‘LIFE-TIME’ EXTENSION TO QAMAR BAJWA

Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has asserted that he never offered ‘life-time’ extension to former chief of army staff (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa, ARY News reported on Sunday.

In an interview to a private news channel, the former premier claimed that the country’s economy was improving when his government was in the power but unfortunately it was ousted through a ‘conspiracy’.

Recalling his government’s performance, Imran Khan claimed that the country’s growth rate was at 6 percent while information technology (IT) exports were increasing. “They [the incumbent rulers] thought people of Pakistan will not come out against this conspiracy,” he said.

“It is a lie that I offered a life-time extension to Qamar Javed Bajwa,” Imran Khan said, adding that the former army chief was the only man behind the conspiracy against him and his government.

The PTI chairman further said that Qamar Bajwa’s ‘plan’ was to weaken his party. “He [Bajwa] considered [Prime Minister] Shehbaz Sharif a wise person,” he said, adding that he already knew that the former COAS had given an offer to PML-N president.

“I was aware of these conspiracies, but still I gave the benefit of doubt to General Bajwa. However, I later realised that he was only the man behind the conspiracy against him and his government,” he added.

General Faiz and army were obsessed with “bringing in” PTI chief Imran Khan - Qamar Javed Bajwa

Former army chief General (retd) Qamar Bajwa has revealed, in a reported interview with a local media outlet, that he was not responsible for the disqualification of former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.

Bajwa was asked if he was responsible for disqualifying Nawaz when his case was heard by the Supreme Court. He replied that the apex court had begun hearings on the Panama Papers during PTI's second long march before he became the army chief.

He maintained that the army could not influence everything and that the SC itself was doing “a lot of things”.

The former army chief was then asked if former ISI chief General Faiz Hameed could pull off the feat by himself, to which the ex-COAS stated that “when you are asking someone to do eight things, and if he does ten, you cannot ask him”. He added that the phenomenon occurred all over the world with intelligence agencies doing many things of their own free will.

The interviewer again questioned if Bajwa disqualified Nawaz, and his answer remained the same.

“It was the decision of the five judges of the Supreme Court. When the judges give an order, what can you do? Justice Khosa also had a personal enmity with the Sharif family. Shahbaz Sharif divorced Justice Khosa's sister in the nineties,” claimed the former army chief in the interview..

He questioned how he could disqualify Nawaz when the PML-N leader was responsible for making him the army chief. He added that Nawaz was always “good and decent” with him and that the army had “nothing to do with Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification”.

Bajwa said that the SC had assigned the task of bringing evidence to the army, therefore the evidence was provided by the army. He said that General (retd) Asim Munir had good relations with Arab countries, and was sent by him to the UAE and brought back the iqama which became the basis of Nawaz's disqualification.

The interviewer then asked if the UAE was 'angry' with Nawaz for not supporting them in the Yemen war and thus gave Nawaz's iqama.

The former top soldier replied that there was no such thing and the iqama was given because it was found.

“When the Panama case was going on in the court, [former premier] Shahid Khaqan Abbasi came to me and took me to Daman hill. We sat there for three hours. He said that we must help Nawaz in the Panama case. I said that I can't help him much because he has made a lot of mistakes,” he narrated, reiterating that Sharif made several mistakes in the case.

He stated that Chaudhry Nisar had also forbidden Nawaz from writing a letter to the Supreme Court for a joint investigation team (JIT) and urged him not to include ISI and MI officers in the JIT, but Nawaz did not agree to this.

“I also sent a message to four or five people to ask Nawaz to oppose the inclusion of army officers in the JIT, but Nawaz was very confident and did not agree. Nawaz was sure that he had all the documents. He also wanted to stop the army for his honesty. But the problem was that if Nawaz Sharif was acquitted, all the rubble would fall on the army,” Bajwa said.

He continued that the SC decided to form a JIT, so he called the Director-General ISI (DG-ISI) and said that the army should get out of this case, but the DG contended that their involvement was an order from the SC.

The interviewer inquired how the disqualification occurred and if there were any 'just judges' in the SC.

He replied that the army was fair too, adding that generals were also fair before some were “in love with Imran Khan”.

“However, due to three reasons, I was under pressure during the time of PML-N. When the PML-N government came, it imposed Article 6 on Musharraf. Then the Panama Papers came, and the “thief prime minister” was criticised everywhere in the media. Then there was pressure from within the army due to the withdrawal of Dawn Leaks' tweet. After the withdrawal of Dawn Leaks' tweet, Maryam Nawaz's strategic media cell claimed that the army had retreated for a second time since 1971,” he said, adding that these were the reasons he could not help Nawaz much.

The interviewer then inquired if Shahid Khaqan Abbasi would leave the PML-N, to which Bajwa said that he would not and that Abbasi was a very capable man who did a “great job” as the prime minister. He added that Abbasi also understood the economy very well.

When asked about the Dawn Leaks, Bajwa said that after he became the chief of the army and went to meet the premier at the prime minister’s house, there was “a lot of talk of the Dawn leaks”.

“One thing the political parties do not understand is that the army chief was very important, and the army never compromised on its former army chief. When Article 6 was imposed on General Musharraf, the army turned against Nawaz and then the army even saved Musharraf. Musharraf would sometimes disappear on the way to court and then would arrive at the hospital,” he said.

Dawn leaks

Discussing “his side of the story” about the Dawn leaks, the ex-COAS said that when he became the army chief and went to meet Nawaz, Nisar said Dawn leaks must be brought to a logical conclusion, meaning a complete end to the inquiry – which Bajwa agreed to.

Later, Nisar reiterated the same statement, after which Bajwa called then DG-ISI Naveed Mukhtar and asked for the result of the Dawn Leaks inquiry. He stated that Mukhtar said there was some evidence that journalist Cyril Almeida spoke to Pervez Rasheed on the phone for 70 minutes, but the conversation was not known.

Bajwa stated that in fact, there was “nothing” in the Dawn Leaks, but wherever he went, junior officers used to ask questions.

“After that, I spoke to Chaudhry Nisar and Ishaq Dar that they send the case of journalists to CPNE because I did not want to touch the hornet’s nest”.

He continued that it was decided to take administrative action against the rest, after which he went to Nawaz and tried to convince him to let Pervez Rasheed go, which he [Nawaz] ultimately agreed to and it was decided that Pervez Rasheed and Tariq Fatemi would be removed from their posts. He added that the case of the journalists will be sent to the CPNE and departmental action would be taken against the rest.

“However, a day later, I went to Lahore, and suddenly the notification of Dawn Leaks started playing on another news channel. The channel started saying that the government did not punish the co-accused and the government issued an incomplete notification”.

Read more Shehbaz claims he declined Bajwa's offer to become PM in 2018

Bajwa added that the media put a lot of pressure on the army and he called General (retd) Asif Ghafoor, who on his own accord issued a tweet that the notification was 'rejected'.

“On the same day I was supposed to go to Fata, I left, and immediately after that, I got a call that the prime minister wanted to meet me. When I reached the prime minister's house, Nawaz Sharif came out and welcomed me. I thought he would be angry and express some displeasure, but he did not say anything”.

Bajwa said that at the end of the meeting, Nawaz only requested that he [Bajwa] should not make decisions in anger.

“It occurred to me that something had gone wrong. Two days later the premier was to go to China. Now generals and political leaders started coming to me saying that I should not take back the tweet,” he added that Khawaja Asif and other Muslim Leaguers came and said he should not withdraw the tweet.

“But I could not send the prime minister of the country to China in an inferior position. What would be the status of such a prime minister in China who did not even have his army at his disposal, so the tweet was withdrawn”.

Army generals

The interviewer stated that it was said that General (retd) Naveed Mukhtar was a gentleman and was not too powerful while General Faiz did all the work. He questioned if this was because Bajwa gave authority and power to Faiz.

The former army chief stated that this was the case and that they were obsessed with “bringing in” PTI chief Imran Khan.

“It was said that the Dawn Leaks issue was created by General Raheel Sharif to get an extension and that there was nothing actually in it. When Dawn discussed the leaks with Nawaz, he said that whenever General Raheel and General Rizwan Akhtar came for a meeting, they used to talk about the extension of General Raheel Sharif”.

Bajwa continued that Rizwan told Nawaz in front of General Raheel to give a three-year extension to General Raheel, but after Raheel left, he told Nawaz to give only one-year extension, because Rizwan was next in line after Raheel.

The interviewer asked how Bajwa forgave Rizwan and Asim Bajwa, to which the former COAS said he would forgive whoever came before him.

“I wanted to remove General Rizwan from ISI and give him command, but I got reports that he was constantly interfering in politics. Two or three times his actions were reported and some of them had corruption issues. Thus he was dismissed,” he elaborated.

He stated that Asim Bajwa asked for forgiveness, therefore he was forgiven and given Southern Command. He added that incumbent COAS Asim Munir often said that Bajwa forgave people, but he [Gen Munir] did not forgive anyone.

Bajwa said that Asim Bajwa had placed Raheel Sharif on the verge of becoming a hero, although not a single bullet was fired in Zarb-e-Azb.

“Then General Raheel Sharif started a campaign against corruption. After the Panama Papers emerged, I was also under pressure because of this campaign”.

He said that during the Panama trial, he sent a message through Shujaat Azim and Chaudhry Munir to Nawaz asking him to resign to avoid being disqualified, so he could be re-elected as premier during the next elections.

“It was a very sincere suggestion from my side as I was repeatedly approached by sympathizers of the PML-N”.

He continued that PML-N leaders had convinced Nawaz to resign but Maryam Nawaz forbade him from doing so.

“For a man to fight tomorrow it is necessary to live today. To win, one must take a step back, which Nawaz Sharif did not,” he said adding that he had not spoken to Nawaz or met him for the past five years, except to condole him on the death of his spouse.

When asked if Maryam Nawaz was released by him, Bajwa denied the claim and said that the cases against Maryam were weak.

Zardari says he called Bajwa’s takeover bluff
Asif Ali Zardari urged all the political parties to sit together and decide on a date for the next general elections in the country

Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Friday urged all the political parties to sit together and decide on a date for the next general elections in the country.

Speaking on Geo News’ programme “Capital Talk”, hosted by Hamid Mir, Zardari said that the general elections should be held at the same time across the country, as the federal government and Supreme Court are in a virtual standoff over holding the polls in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“The problem is not that we are afraid of elections,” he said, adding that his party did not have an objection to the polls but its “timing”. The PPP leader maintained that his party had joined the National Assembly with just 14 seats in the past.

Stressing the need for talks between all the political forces, the former president said, “Our words carry weight when we talk to our allies.” Referring to alleged favouritism shown to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan by the judiciary and the establishment, Zardari said: “There is a domicile difference between Imran Khan and me.”

Slamming Khan, the PPP leader said that the political workers stage protests but they do not pick up weapons. He claimed that Khan is not a popular leader, saying that he paid the people.

Responding to a question about former chief of army staff General (R) Qamar Javed Bajwa, the PPP leader revealed that he and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had asked Bajwa not to seek resignation from Khan.

He maintained that they decided to topple the PTI-led government as the deposed prime minister had devised a plan to stay in power till 2035 by “picking an army chief of his choice”.

Zardari revealed that he inferred from Bajwa’s body language and his talk with Hamid Mir that he can impose martial law. The former president said that he told Bajwa to take over, warning him that it’s easy to ride a lion but hard to get down, and the general stepped back.

Earlier, according to Online news agency, Zardari said Allah Almighty is super king and no one can be sidelined. This was his reply to a question by a journalist in a TV programme. “You said Faiz Hameed had been sidelined,” the journalist said.

What incoherent garbage. I mean this is beyond hilarious.

Zardari has truly lost his marbles.

I could be wrong but I think they know the writing is on the wall. How long will Hafiz save them for? Sooner or later the hand of the clock moves. Khan may not stay but his vision and message is so straightforward that it has mobilised the thoughts of a generation. Zardari can see his useless son being Sent into exile at some point and his nusul being made irrelevant. All these babay aren't gonna last forever.

Its not even that. I think its age or some old age mental disorder thats catching up with Zardari. His words and thoughts are too scrambled. Maybe its a bad translation but just read it. He is just rambling, this is Joe Biden times 4 I think.

Signs of dementia/Alzheimer's, maybe? Hasnt he been wlaking around with support lately? I thought I saw some video like that.

QAMAR BAJWA DESCRIBED SHEHBAZ, NAWAZ AS HIS ‘WORST ENEMIES’: IMRAN KHAN

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan gave an exclusive interview to ARY News on Sunday and answered questions about the party’s future plans, elections, the infamous London Plan and other issues.

Answering questions asked by ‘Sawal Yeh Hai’ host Maria Memon, Imran Khan claimed that during his government’s last days, he asked then COAS Qamar Bajwa if he was trying to bring Shehbaz Sharif to power, to which Bajwa responded that Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif are his worst enemies.

The former PM maintained that Bajwa used to ‘lie a lot’ and was getting extension offers but used to claim that he is not seeking an extension. Imran Khan claimed that despite Bajwa’s flat refusal, some generals later approached him and persuaded PTI’s bigwigs to grant Bajwa an extension.

While answering the question regarding petroleum prices, Imran Khan said that the Petroleum prices were frozen by PTI’s government because the government wanted to make a deal with Russia.

“I had a three-hour meeting with Putin and informed him about the damage to our economy due to the Russia-Ukraine crisis, after which Putin sent his Energy Minister to negotiate the matter with us,” Imran Khan claimed.

IMRAN KHAN: U.S. WAS MANIPULATED BY PAKISTAN MILITARY INTO BACKING OVERTHROW
In an interview with The Intercept, the ousted Pakistani prime minister, just released from arrest, accuses the country’s military of deepening a political crisis.

IMRAN KHAN BECAME Pakistan’s prime minister through a most unusual route. As he explained in an interview on Sunday night, Khan was for decades the nation’s most famous cricketer, before transitioning into the world of philanthropy, building hospitals and supporting universities. From there, he moved into politics, founding a party — the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, or PTI — and sweeping into power in 2018. But he had a slim majority, and was ousted in a no-confidence vote by 2022.

Since then, he and his party have been the target of a relentless crackdown by the nation’s military, which has ruled the country directly or indirectly for decades.

Khan was arrested on May 9, 2023, by the military, and held for four days before the Supreme Court ruled his detention illegal. Protests erupted nationwide, some turning violent, and the military establishment responded by arresting most of Khan’s senior leadership and forcing them to resign from the party under pressure. Thousands of rank-and-file party workers have also been jailed.

Khan, meanwhile, is holed up in his home in Lahore, sifting through some 150 charges of corruption and other offenses that have been leveled at him — charges he and his supporters dismiss as politically motivated. Yet Khan remains a popular political figure heading into elections that are scheduled for October.

He joined me last night to discuss his career, the political crisis facing Pakistan, and his diminishing hope for a negotiated resolution. What follows is a condensed version of our conversation; the transcript has been edited for clarity. Audio of the interview will be published tomorrow on my podcast Deconstructed.

In the interview, Khan urged the United States to speak out in defense of the rule of law, democracy, and other Western values under threat in Pakistan. A State Department spokesperson, shown the comments, said that “our message has been clear and consistent on this. We support the peaceful upholding of constitutional and democratic principles, including respect for human rights. We do not support, whether it’s in Pakistan or anywhere else around the world, one political party over another. We support broader principles, including the rule of law and equal justice under the law.”

Khan, in the interview, also speculated that the U.S. had turned on him because of his skepticism of the global war on terror and due to a misperception that he had aligned Pakistan with the Taliban. “On the war on terror and the Taliban,” the State Department spokesperson said, “the United States and Pakistan have a shared interest in ensuring the Taliban live up to the commitments that they have made — that terrorist groups that may be active in Afghanistan are no longer able to threaten regional stability.”

True. Khan has been running his mouth for long but finally, now, he has had to pay the price. After the VONC, he should have simply campaigned for the next elections instead of creating chaos. I am certain that Khan would probably have won 2/3 majority given PDM's mishandling of the economy. He let go a golden chance!

PML-N voted for extension in return for help with Imran problem: Rana Sanaullah

LAHORE: As the top leadership of the PML-N continues to rail against the former generals, in an apparent bid to reclaim their “vote ko izzat do” narrative before going into elections, a key leader confessed on Thursday that the party had supported an extension for former army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa in order to contain PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s onslaught.

“Voting for Gen Bajwa’s extension [in 2020] was a tactical move by the party to fight the fitna (anarchy),” former interior minister Rana Sanaullah said during an appearance on Samaa TV on Thursday, using a term he frequently employs to refer to the PTI chief.

The former army chief’s extension became a bone of contention between the judiciary and the PTI regime in 2019 when the top court suspended then-PM Imran Khan’s notification, granting Gen Bajwa an extension. After much legal wrangling, the court had allowed the general to continue in office for six months after the government assured it that it would legislate to provide legal cover to this ‘grey area’.

So a clear admission of the planned coup.

Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former interior minister Rana Sanaullah has said that his party had supported the extension for former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa in order to tackle the political onslaught by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

He termed the decision to support Gen Bajwa's extension in 2020 as a tactical manoeuvre by the party to combat what he referred to as the "fitna" or anarchy being inflicted upon the nation.

This marked Sanaullah's second consecutive public denunciation of the former military leadership within just two days.

So Bajwa didn't hold up his side of the coup and now the Nooras are taking revenge with both hands. If NS does come back and it looks like he will because Munir the Ch has also made promises, i hope he hangs Bajwa and then someone hangs him for being part of the coup. At the moment it just looks like more drama

IHC puts former army chief, his spymaster on notice
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Aamer Farooq on Monday issued notices to former army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa, ex-spymaster Faiz Hamid and two journalists, in response to a petition seeking legal proceedings for allegedly flouting the Official Secrets Act.

In the petition, Atif Ali — a concerned citizen — sought the registration of a case against the journalists and the former generals over news reports regarding the ex-military officers’ role in politics. The director general of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was also put on notice. Justice Farooq heard the petition on October 4, but the court order was released on Monday.

The petitioner contended that the interview of ex-Gen Bajwa was conducted in a “reckless” manner and the journalists, Javed Chaudhry and Shahid Maitla, did not show any sense of responsibility in publishing them. The petition claimed the revelations made in the interview(s) were a violation of the Official Secrets Act and tantamount to inciting mutiny and disharmony.

It requested the court to issue directions to the director general of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to register an FIR against the former COAS, former ISI chief, and the journalists. Besides, it also sought directions for the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) to impose a ban on the two journalists.

Gen Bajwa threatened to impose martial law, Asif claims

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has alleged that former Army Chief General (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa threatened to impose martial law in the country.

Asif made these claims during an interview on Geo News’ program “Capital Talk.”

He revealed that General (Retd) Bajwa had spoken about martial law not only in private conversations with him but also in public gatherings.

When asked by the program host, Hamid Mir, whether General (Retd) Bajwa should be held accountable for threatening martial law, Asif responded, “Who are they to hold Bajwa accountable?”

Asif further stated, “My memory is fine. I may not remember something from a long time ago, but I remember the past. Malik Ahmad is talking about a different situation, and I’m talking about a different situation. There is no difference between my narrative and Malik Ahmad’s. General (Retd) Bajwa was seeking a six-month to one-year extension during the caretaker government.”

He added, “General (Retd) Bajwa brought the PTI founder and ran the show for four years. General (Retd) Bajwa and Faiz Hamid have a very close relationship.”

The Defense Minister further stated that the PTI founder had taken action against Nawaz Sharif and his family. He questioned why the PTI founder did not consider a judicial commission at that time and why he is now constantly demanding a judicial commission. He stated that the government can form a judicial commission on the Faiz Hamid matter if it wishes.
