14/4 in the powerplay against New Zealand in first T20I! I thought Pakistan were to become world beaters after dropping Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam

Should Pakistan stick with the Rizwan-Babar in T20Is or focus on developing the next generation?

If Hasan Nawaz and Harris can do well in their positions. Than we can move on from Babar and Rizwan.

I have alot of trust in Hessons coaching methods. So its up to him whether to get both rizwan and babar to improve their strike rates or to discard them completely.

I think the main inspiration here is Hassan Ali. If he can improve while being kept away, than others should also follow his way.

But I am more comfortable with the decisions Hesson has to make in comparison to Aqib or any other coach.

What you did celebrate was Pakistan’s T20 team struggling to lay bat on ball in extremely tough conditions in which the likes of Duffy, O’Rourke and even Neesham were too hot to handle.

And then you had a little cry off when your heroes Babar and Rizwan also flopped against them in the ODIs

What’s important to realise is that after a long time, Bangladesh feels like Bangladesh to us…and not some team that might just beat us because of Babar and Rizwan dragging Pakistan down to new lows

You don’t decide who has to do what so that Babar and Rizwan can be moved on.

They are not required. This is not Misbah ul Haq’s Pakistan white ball era. Is that clear?

That's true. People have forgotten how truly weak Pakistan had become lol.

This so called only we cam celebrate a match vs Bangladesh is total nonsense when this a team that has

A) Got demolished by C side Sri Lanka in t20
B) lost a t20 series to Zimbabwe including a super over
C) Lost to Zimbabwe again in a world cup
D) Lost to USA and fought life and limb just to beat Canada

Definitely. In status Quo, This was going to get to 160, 180 tops, if the lower order fired. And then get chased down. Blame on bowlers. Rinse. Repeat.
 
Pakistan can become a dominant T20 side and removal of Babar-Rizwan was first step in that direction. This Salman-Hesson approach will not only bring better results but will also bring back excitement and flair which used to be our hallmark till Misbah took charge and later Babar continued that safety first approach.

Our hockey team dominated the game for about 40 years until off-side rule was abolished. Our strength lied in quick decisive counterattacks that used to overload opposition defence. Pakistanis in terms of their nature and temperament are not methodical and calculative. They perform best when they are led by a strong leader who gives them clarity and freedom to express themselves. If Salman manages to do that then we can turn around our fortunes in LOI cricket atleast.
 
TBH, start was not good at all again. It is just the middle order that clicked at the right moment otherwise it would have been another 14/3 or 4 moment

That's cricket..sometimes top order will score sometimes the middle.

But continuing to play after fall of wickets will usually give better results than not going for it.

Indeed. That has won them the game ytd. They didn’t have Rizwan or Babar to hog around for run a ball 40 or 50 which can bring the team total to 150 being down 5-2 which the fans settled for saying that they 5-2 at one stage. The fearless and intent approach took them to cross 200 and won them the game. In the post match presentation Bazid did mention that no batter played more than 30 balls and all of them scored and the team scored 201
 
In T20s put the bad ball away , choose the bowler and side of the ground to play your shots and move on , don’t waste time like Rizwan to hog around till 18th over to bring all ur big shots and 1 or 2 clicks go for 12 -18 runs max and that’s it. This is what the outdated approach which Pakistan has to drop it completely. Play the shots and look to score runs in white ball cricket even if the scorecard is 2-4 or 3-5 , no point in just staying at the crease and look to defend every ball with body and bat.

One needs MORE method and calculation to play attacking cricket not less. It’s different skills that need to be acquired and cultivated.

Stay strong bro. I know it’s tough to see Pakistan batting at 10+ runs per over in T20s for over 57 overs of batting.

I can understand you would have liked 6-7 runs per over.

This too shall pass bro.
