Four down. Prince gone. 12.4 overs remaining. Now it becomes interesting.

I think the difference between getting a wicket in the next 3-4 overs, or not, may well be 25-30 runs in the final analysis.

The batting lineup for Pakistan too is down to 9 and we should just get going all guns blazing and you never know even 350 on this pitch is possible if we get a decent start- even if we lose 2-3 quick wickets the run rate should be above 6 in the first 10 overs.

AG Prince c Abdul Razzaq b Shahid Afridi 39 (45m 48b 2x4 0x6) SR: 81.25

4th wicket for a spinner........

regarding aus/nz : Ponting 101* , Australia require another 38 runs with 7 wickets and 32 balls remaining

Yup, if Kemp gets in soon it'll cost you 25-30 runs. ;-)

Afridi finishes his spell!

S Afridi
10-0-42-2

Fantastic bowling. Well done.

that mans a genius, hes the best player i've seen along side lara at his best

the commentators really playing up Pakistan's chances, I say we make 200.

Shabbir Ahmed injured and flying back home. Seems like we're lumbered with Sami now.

320 is easily on at the moment- 241-4 39 overs
if they play really well 350-360 is good chance these boundries are small, were not out of this even if they get 350 i say

That's a good point. We just need to bat sensibly. Have to take advantage of the field restrictions in the first 20 overs. A positive start, with wickets in hand, can certainly propel us.

Hafeez and Malik to finish 10 each and then 2 from Asif is 50 so we maybe able to restrict them to 320 if we bowl as we have in the recent hour or so

not unless we pick up 2-3 quick wickets. Boucher and Pollock maybe their best players against spin.

"Shabbir Ahmad is flying back home this afternoon after a groin injury he sustained on Friday night in Twenty20 match"

Is this a joke??? What's with these Pakistani pacemen? Maybe they should start drinking bottled water, and cut down on sabri ki nihari!!

I think Inzi blundered big deal by letting Rana and Sami continue for so long and the selectors have to realise that we need to have Rehman or Kaneria in the side instead of these seamers who are of no use- Gul, Asif or Shoaib if fit are the only seamers we should have in our side and let the spinners take us through on a regular basis as most ODI pitches are these days flat and the pace has to be taken off the ball.

If we can somehow limit them to 310, we have a chance.

Can anyone remind me what happened to Saqlain Mushtaq? He had excellent ODI figures ... he still has an excellent ratio of wickets/match. Why has he been out of favor? Performance, fitness or happens to be on the wrong side of Inzamam?

He used to be quite good in the death overs.

single to Kallis last ball, this is the best result for Pakistan that I can think of.

Sami in- Inzi banking on pace again- lets see - If he gets Boucher it would be a worth it.
Maybe banking on some reverse

He is not fit. Had two knee operations.

Fantastic shot from Boucher, absolutely fantastic.

267/4

I'm sure Sami will get his 'last chance' in the 2nd game. And then 3rd, and 4th and 5th all the way to the WC final.......WC final 2011 I mean.

Drop by Younis at midwicket nad then a runout missed- lucky Boucher

With this calibre of fielding, please forget about the WC guys, save your blood pressure and heart ailness.

Boucher swats two slog-sweeps for 6 each- Hafeez bowling length- poor bowling but excellent batting too

he is a fair ODI bowler.

End of over 40 ... 246/4
Over 41 (Malik) ... 4 runs
Over 42 (Hafeez) ... 11 runs
Over 43 (Sami) ..... 11 runs

End of over 43 ... 273/4
At 8/0ver ... 329
At 10/over ... 343

Sami has given 48 runs off 30 balls !!!!!!

Boucher hits 2 successive SIXES......

South Africa 286/4 (43.3 ov)

44.3 Mohammad Sami to Boucher, (no ball) 2 runs, its a no-ball, which Boucher slogs straight down the ground, where Rana dives full-length and holds onto a great catch, but its not a legal delivery and Boucher gets to his 50, well played!

44.3 Mohammad Sami to Boucher, FOUR

Why doesnt this heaving ever come off for Afridi? Its gonna be a ridiculious total we are looking at
