2015 World Cup Result : India trounce South Africa by 130 runs

India is scoring 280 minimum. That run-out was unfortunate, but even now, I don't expect this bowling attack to trouble India much.

You gotta look at India's bowling too.
This pitch is only gonna get better with time.
Their batting isn't as fragile as your parosis.

I'm a neutral. I'd be perfectly happy for the best team to win.

But a game in which Steyn and Morkel and Philander go for more than 5 per over is not one that I want to see. So far I've watched 48 balls by Steyn and Philander, not even one of which has deviated off the seam. Zero.

So there are three options:

1) The bowlers are crap.
2) The pitch is crap.
3) The balls are crap.
4) The batsmen have played well. (but obviously that's too much to think of )

Edited :)

Indians are waiting for Tahir and playing too many tuk tuks currently. Not the right move.

above 270 wud be enough in mcg pitch big ground....pressure situation...against...south africa are not world beaters...and people are underestimating indian bowling.....

Not a bad start. If we had a half decent bowling attack, I would have been happy with this.

Bro, think about my team. Thirrimaane, Dilshan, Sanga and now Rohit. My fantasy team got a royal phaintaa today. Three ducks in total.

Now Kohli and Raina are my only hope. :kohli

Thank God I didn't pick any lankan cricketers :jaya. That feels better :misbah

They talk about Tendulkar like someone stepped down from the heavens.. move past him already

That last ball down the leg is because of the **** poor pitch. I mean how can someone with the skills of Morkel bowll down the legs of some hack like Kohli. Surely modern cricket is dead.

Does Tahir still ran around the whole ground after taking a wicket?

India need to do that on consistent basis what they did in morkel over... single double.... an odd boundary will come once in 12-15 balls

THe wicket looks flat now.

That little help SA pacers had is gone.

India should look to score over 300 to have a chance.

India will make around 260+ today, and S.A will chase it down with no worries.

this is a flat pitch again, not one ball has moved yet. Saf have bowled well though.

EXACTLY.

Good batting against great bowling on a sporting pitch is surviving.

But if you can score 4 runs per over in the first 13 overs against Steyn, Philander and Morkel you know that it is not good batting - it is modern anti-cricket pitch conditions at play.

I'm going to wait until 20 overs and if there still hasn't been a single ball deviate off the seam I will give up and watch something more interesting, like paint drying.

And then the rest of you can carry on deluding yourself in peace, lying to yourselves that this isn't a dead wicket tailor-made for batsmen!

Even though India is batting well, they could do with batting at higher ran rate.

Mate, why not reduce 20 to 15 and just go away now? I can't see you in pain!

Firdose Moonda has this update from the ground: "I'm no meteorologist but the storm clouds are coming. Yesterday's was mad - it rained heavily for about 20 mins and then went away."

Wish you luck trying to understand paint drying ...hopefully you understand that atleast ;) my friend

I feel for Rohit.

This looks like the kind of pitch where he can destroy bowling attacks.

Too bad, he is out.

Morne is being taken care of. The most dangerous bowler.

Good that we haven't let any of the bowlers succeed so far.
