Africa XI vs Asia XI - Updates

2 consecutive 4s off Zaheer by Odoyo! It will be so cool if they pull the run chase off. At one point it didn't even look like they were going to get 100!

Pollock on 85, his highest score in ODIs. Here's hoping he makes it to his maiden ODI century!

Can someone who is watching the game (and has seen Asif bowl in last few games )tell me about what change of action is happening in Asif's action? In cricinfo Commentry he has bowled quite a few balls with some sorta chage of action so i am curious about that!

12 runs off the over and Poolock needs only 6 runs more for his century! Go Pollock!!!

Oh boy, this is turning out be a great match. Props to Pollock for trying his best and so far has been successful.

Pollock's innings remind me of that amazing Michael Bevan innings where ROTW were playing Best of Asia me thinks and he came so close in winning that match single handley while chasing a huge score.

asif ends with 10-0-57-3.

Useful performance!! did his damage early on!!

I see the point now of why Inzy/Malik tend to bowl him out early on.

Congratulations to Pollock for some great stuff.

needs to work on his bowling at the death
Guys he is only a young guy. Gotta give him some break. With experience, comes the greatness. Even Glenn Magrath wasn't as good as he became in his early years.

last ball of the over - ODOYO launches yuvi for a huge 6!!

I was just saying good over so far so somebody needs to hit a 6 and Odoyo complied!

Dude, why always highlight the weakness. Why not his strong points or when he does do something good. This is called negative journalism. I know this is not real journalism but come on, how many times you guys point out all the good things he does?

Dude, I keep calling Asif the best thing since slice bread (unless that happens to be Dawn Bread!). Just noted this weakness today and something he can work on to improve. Hell, I was defending Asif against the idiot who was calling asif a test bowler only...

Fair enough. No hard feelings eh.

45.2 Mortaza to Pollock, FOUR!!, full and straigt on the stumps, Pollock shows the full face of the bat and smacks it over the head of the bowler, straight down the ground for four, stunner of a shot that!!!

Nope if you offer me some Dawn bread with some Multani halwa;) (Unless you remember that Inzy Dawn bread ad, you won't get it...)

And the boundaries keep coming. They might end up losing by only 10-15 runs, you know?

Outstanding knock by Pollock! Awesome catch from YOusaf! :P

Well that was fun while it lasted...respect to Pollock for an outsatnding innings...maybe he should consider playing purely as a batsman for South Africa, eh?

Well I lived in Pakistan between 89-92 so it has to be then...Don't remember it?
It must be after th World Cup because before that, Inxi wasn't even popular.

You are right, nobody knew him before that...must have been after the 92 WC and Dawn bread must have signed him immediately after that...

Absolutely right. But then again, this is Afro-Asia cup and no player takes it vey serious. Nothing to take away from Pollock. He probably played the best knock his career. Congratulations to Pollock on hi great great great performance. I wasn't even watching it on tv but I still enjoyed it watching on cricinfo.
