What would your Asian all-time World Cup XI look like?

Amidst, different playing XI, here I am making an Asian XI based on their performance in World Cup.

Rohit
Tendulkar
Sangakkara
Miandad
Yuvraj
Dhoni(C/wkt)
Imran
Kapil
Wasim
Malinga
Murali

What's your take on this?

My take is that Ms Dhoni is probably one of the biggest world failure of all time, so having him in there makes no sense at all especially when you have Kumar as wicket keeper.

Dhoni's captaincy alone puts him in there. It was well ahead of rest. Rest(batting, keeping) is simply adding up, never mind a WC final knock.

Tendulkar
Jayasuriya
Sangakkara (wk)
Miandad
de Silva
Shakib
Imran (c)
Wasim
Zaheer
Malinga
Murali

Upon further reflection, I'd remove Zaheer and pick Qadir instead. If Imran's captain, you need a leg-spinner in the team. Leaves room for only 1 Indian, but heigh-ho.

I will go with this one:-

Tendulkar
Jayasuriya
Abbas
de Silva
Yuvraj
Dhoni (c)
Imran
Wasim
Akhtar
Murali
Saqlain

Its a good one like several others but I am a bit concern with lack of hitting powers in the lower middle order. Ofcourse, those blokes can play aggressive innings when required.

But honestly, I would certainly have one guy who is a naturally aggressive batsmen which I couldn't find at either 5, 6 or 7 in your lineup. Would recommend Yuvraj or Dev or some other attacking player to be in there just to bring some big-hitting capability in a middle order replacing one of them which had Sangakkara, Miandad, de Silva, Imran and Shakib.

Rohit
Sachin
Shakib
De silva
Yuvraj singh
Dhoni(cap)
Imran
Kapil
Wasim
Malinga
Murali.

Yuvraj singh is hands down the greatest odi no. 5 from the subcontinent,so he is a certainty.
Shakib performancees were even better than sanga and he also adds value with the ball.

Malinga is more dangerous than zaheer as he has that demolishing ability which zaheer lacks.

Rohit is a bigger run machine than jaya and we have shakib at 3 so jayas bowling wont be needed.
All the rest pick themselves.

I honestly forgot about Yuvraj, he'll bat 4 instead of Miandad. Kapil can play instead of Malinga or Qadir depending on conditions, but he's on the bench for me.

All Time Asian World Cup XI :
1. Sanath Jayasuriya
2. Sachin Tendulkar
3. Aravinda De Silva
4. Yuvraj Singh
5. Shakib Al Hasan
6. MS Dhoni (C) (WK)
7. Kapil Dev
8. Wasim Akram
9. Chaminda Vaas
10. Zaheer Khan
11. Muttiah Muralitharan

Just for world cup?

1. Rohit
2. Sanath
3. Sachin (Will play him at 3 since Rohit and Sanath at top will form most destructive pair seen in ODI history)
4. Aravinda
5. Sangakara (WK)
6. Yuvi
7. Shakib
8. Imran
9. Kapil
10. Wasim
11. Murali

One can replace Aravinda with Miandad or Dhoni as WK, but IMO Aravinda in 96 was just too good to be replaced by either of them, purely based on WC's.

1. Sharma
2. Dhawan
3. Tendulkar
4. Sangakkara (wk)
5. Miandad (vc)
6. Yuvraj
7. Imran (c)
8. Kapil
9. Wasim
10. Mushtaq
11. Malinga

For the first opener, I wanted to select a run-machine. By selecting Tendulkar, I would have to miss out on Sharma who is the second best ODI opener of all time. Sharma can open where he has been very successful and Tendulkar can move down to #3.

For the second opener, I wanted to pick a good pressure player. Dhawan has a phenomenal record in tournaments, so I pick him over Anwar, Jayasuriya, and Majid.

Tendulkar is the most consistent batsman in world cups. He is an automatic selection in any ODI team. I see no reason why a batsman of his class will have any problem batting at #3.

Sangakkara is a better world cup performer than MS Dhoni. Besides, Dhoni's captaincy is not needed when the team already has two other world cup winning captains in Imran and Kapil.

Miandad was picked because he was a very steady contributor in almost all the world cups he played. I also wanted to select a good chaser in the middle order.

Yuvraj's selection is obvious due to his 2011 heroics, overall explosive batting, and useful part-time bowling.

Imran is one of the greatest world cup performers and a world cup winning captain. Bowling average of 19 and batting average of 35 against top 6 teams is no joke.

Kapil Dev lifts the team in all three departments, be it his economical bowling or his aggressive batting, or his excellent fielding

Wasim Akram won a world cup final with his all-round performance. Besides, he is the greatest ODI bowler of all time.

This may be a surprise to many but Mushtaq is a very underrated bowler. He took 3 wickets in the 1992 world cup final including the prized wicket of Gooch. In the semi-final, he removed 2 of the top 3 Kiwi batsmen. Against top 6 teams, he averages close to 21 in world cups. Murali misses out because he was a failure in two world cup finals.

Malinga adds variety to the bowling attack due to his excellent death bowling ability. Since, Wasim is already a left handed pacer, I did not want to select Vaas and/or Zaheer.
