And the fittest cricketer is?

Lol why would you guys want to look like Johnson when you have two guys clearly better looking and powerful physiques (STRONG NO HOMO) right beside him.

Well to each his own tastes, I was talking to another poster woh prefered Kurt Russell's physique (average at best, he's NOT even known for his physique lol) over Stallone's.

Were they shooting for the Hollywood flick 300?

I would love to see Symond doing, "This is Australiaaaaaa!" on Bhajji. :)))

Akhtar follows a strict weight training regime. His diet is 60% carbs, 30% protein and 10% Calcium, Fiber, Liquids e.t.c. He weight trains 5-6 days a week for 2 hours daily.

If that is Akthars training regime he should take a leaf out of Shane Watsons book. Shane Watson was also killing himself with weight training before and drinking. Not sure if Akhtar does that :) . At that time Watson was getting injured basically every series he was involved in for lengthy periods of time.

Now he is off the weights for the past year or so and has completely quit drinking. he is now doing pilates and things like that. Hasn't been injured since.

Give Asif a gold medal. Would never ever have believed if someone told me about this at first.

I don't know about fittest cricketer - a lot of these guys have used creatine to make themselves look buff (even though creatine's more about water displacement and making yourself look buff rather than actually making you any fitter?). Some of the physique on show is astonishing, I admit, but the likes of Watson and Akhtar fall over and die from a pin-*****. That isn't fitness in any regard. What sort of fitness are we talking about here, physical attractiveness or the ability to run in and bowl 20 overs on the bounce? For all the guys who looked good like Pietersen (creatine again), you ignore the guys who get the job done, the guys who can keep going for hours of toil without breaking a sweat.

I must say that Dwayne Bravo is one of the fittest cricketers around. Though he's injured at the moment, his ability to bowl, bat and field with energy, with vigour, throughout a day's play without ever looking any less fit than he was on the first morning is unrivalled in cricket currently.

Just plain creatine monohydrate cannot make them look so buff and toned, and anyways it needs to be cycled... I have no doubt these guys use bunch of random supplements that volumise the body like anabolic steroids through water retention and increasing testosterone levels.

I guess we can come one conclusion atleast. The Aussie's are blessed with a very friendly and helpful nutritional atmosphere. Desi food is not exactly perfect for helping one remaining fat free.

Fittest as in Body fit? In that case this is a gay thread.

Fittest as in Stamina? In that case, how good your body looks has nothing to do with it.

I've played football with 15 stone guys that can outpace most 10-11 stone footballs.

The gaydar is off the charts here.

Dude just re-looked through this thread. Getting strong strong homo vibes from a few posters here.

Chris Gayle would stomp all these jokers.

what a thread:))):)))
Watson fittest:))):)))
makes the other 2 behind look average physically
thats Hussey n Clarke I thin

Ok. Now dont die of laughter but this is a shirtless pic of Akhtar from the Indian series of 2007. He lifted his shirt up for the camera. I leave judgement in your hands. Unfortunately, its a hairy, desi stomach. I will post the 2006 pics when i get home.

Enjoy. :))) :))) :akhtar :akhtar

look at MoYo enjoying the show:))):)))

I think Steyn n Johnson r the fittest.despite being fast n bowling long spells, never heard them getting injured

has to be james anderson. looks like the guy has 30 inch waiste.

among other than fast bowlers,Dhoni is right up there,WK n bat n captain all 3 formats n he does it admirably well

Kallis for being able to bat and ball and field at such an intense level over such a period without any maior injury.
As Taurus stated above Bravo is superfit for the same reasons.

From Pakistan, it is probably Mohammad Sami - fit as a fiddle. Too bad he can't bowl to save his life.........

I can't believe I missed this thread and its been around for 1.5 years. Some of the replies from Sultan Yusuf, McBoom and Momo are classic :))

This thread degenerated into covert homosexual admiration a long time ago. Especially with that picture of the three stooges from England.

Fitness in the cricketing sense should be in relation to their prowess on the playing field. Guys like Watson, Umar Gul, Johnson may look fit but they're very injury prone.

If you want real fitness then look at the guys still playing cricket in their late 30s - eg. Hussey, Dravid, Sachin, Kallis etc. In in respect the fittest Pakistan players are probably Misbah and Younis Khan.

Cricketer with best Physique ?

Which cricketer has the best Physique in the world ???

:sami:wahab:adnan

I don't think any International cricketer has better physique than this

in all seriousness, it is/was Simon Jones.

bowling 88-95mph off a short run-up has a physiological explanation - it is not sorcery. Even after all the injuries, he still does this in domestic T20
