But but but but Gyokeres deal is stalling.
But but but Arsenal are not signing any striker in this window.
But but but where is Gyokeres.
But but but Mourinho is ready to pounce.
@Amjid Javed @MK7Z @KingKhanWC @aboveandbeyond
Thanks for the kind words. When is the Brentford molvi coming?Congratulations. No doubt. The title of PESHAWARI JIMMY HILL is all yours!
the firework being set off early by the number 1
in the fan base.
Imagine seeking attention that much that you need to tag posters that you supposedly have no interest in talking to or respect for. But but you all don't have same IQ.
But but topspin is my best friend, I don't care or respect anyone else.
Then why tag others like a dog needing to be petted, and be called a good boy.
Can't wait for the usual houdini act during season
@topspin
The Premier League is not ready for the deadliest striker on the planet. He is a cold-blooded assassin.
Delusional Liverpool fans are hoping he will be retarded Uruguayan 2.0 but he is going to have a Haaland type impact.
This is the best signing Arsenal have made in the Emirates era, and the best striker to wear an Arsenal shirt since Van Persie.

He is seething because he actively wants Arsenal to fail under Arteta so that he can drive his agenda. You don’t need to drag me into your beef with him.
Everyone should be ecstatic about Gyokeres’ coming to Arsenal.
Let’s rejoice this moment.
Spare a thought for @aboveandbeyond who has been raving about Man U’s “pull”.
Missing out on Gyokeres has to hurt.
Finalizing the deal. Thanks for the kind words. When is the Brentford molvi coming?
Time for all Arsenal fans to rejoice this moment.
Imagine the scenes on here if he scores 20+ PL goals and Arsenal win the title this season.
Please repeat after me:1st of all don't make things up and lie.
When did I say I want Gyokeres to fail?
Show me a post with proof? The fact your making things up as some sort of validation like a dog that needs to be petted .
Talking of validation, I exposed your Arteta validation criteria and you since then have avoid a response.
The only blood spillage will be open wounds you've had for 5 years, no one will be shocked when you run off mid-season when ur lack of spine is shown up.
Run little coward...
Let's see the new excuse this season to add to these gems

Signing both Eze and Rodrygo will be fantastic but realistically, it will not happen unless Arsenal sell both Trossard and Martinelli. After signing Gyokeres, I want to see Arsenal get Eze, Mosquera and Rodrygo over the line. PSR is not an issue so there's no reason why we can't sign all 3. According to reports, the Brazilian Real Madrid star wants to join Arsenal over Liverpool.
Signing both Eze and Rodrygo will be fantastic but realistically, it will not happen unless Arsenal sell both Trossard and Martinelli.
As things stand, Arsenal will sell Trossard, sign Eze and keep Martinelli as backup. Eze will be starting LW, Martinelli will provide cover and Madueke will provide cover on the RW.
Eze can also fill-in for Odegaard as CAM whenever the latter is unavailable.
Rodrygo signing and playing as first choice LW while Eze providing cover will be incredible, but realistically, chances are slim.
Also, I think Eze would have assurances from Arsenal that he will be a starter. He wouldn’t move to a bigger club at 27 without having assurances over his role.
The signing of Madueke to beef up the squad doesn’t look too bad now that Arsenal have signed Gyokeres and will soon wrap up a deal for Eze.
He is 23, English, decently experienced and can provide cover on both wings. He’s far from a bed squad option.
Unfortunately, Arsenal fans are barely smarter than Neanderthals and have the patience of a hungry toddler.
He is 23 and English. Even if he is a disaster, which he won’t be, he can be easily sold in a couple of years. Loaning players with resale value is actually bad business. Berta is an old fox and he knows how the market works. He could end up being a good back up for Saka. I just wish Arsenal didn't end up overpaying for him and instead opted for a season long loan with an option to buy.
Martinelli is crap but he is still only 24 and has pace to burn from the bench. I can see why Arsenal don’t want to put him on the exit list.It might look like a pipe dream at this stage but Arsenal cannot miss out on this opportunity if he wants to join us. I pray one of the Saudi clubs will buy Martinelli from us so we can pursue him.
Eze should back himself to start ahead of Odegaard.
This is the starting line up I want to see:

Arsenal spent less on Gyokeres and Zubimendi than Liverpool did on Wirtz, and Liverpool needed both players. What a masterstroke by Berta.Murree brewery reopened in Pakistan?
You've got your squad, the striker, another Chelsea player and your great manager is confident.
Is the PL title in the bag?
Arsenal spent less on Gyokeres and Zubimendi than Liverpool did on Wirtz, and Liverpool needed both players. What a masterstroke by Berta.
All three players are equally good in their respective positions. They are one of the best in the world in their respective roles.Because Wirtz is far better than both put together, a future legend of the sport. Arsenal should have gone for quality but hey it’s Arsenal buying mostly rejects. Gyokeres and Zubi are the best two signings but you may still win nothing lol
All three players are equally good in their respective positions. They are one of the best in the world in their respective roles.
Liverpool fans are acting as if Wirtz is Messi. Calm down.
Gyokeres walks into the Liverpool team ahead of the retarded Uruguayan and Zubimendi is much better than that donkey Curtis Jones.
Gyokeres + Zubimendi is far better business than Wirtz.
Zubimendi is already elite. He is one of the best deep-lying playmakers in the world.I would rather have a 22 year old Wirtz than both of those. Gyokeres is top drawer but hes 27 and Zubimendi is good but will never be elite. Wirtz is class, anyone who knows football knows this.
Besides the transfer window is open until end of August. We are now sorting out our attackers and perhaps another CB.
The champions of England are going for no.21 a record league title in English football.![]()
Zubimendi is already elite. He is one of the best deep-lying playmakers in the world.
He has won at international level, and also won Copa Del Rey with Sociedad.Has potential to be but has won nothing at all so far in his career. Maybe Arteta can change this or maybe not lol
He has won at international level, and also won Copa Del Rey with Sociedad.
He will win the Premier League with Arsenal, in fact multiple Premier Leagues.

Domestic trophies are not irrelevant for clubs like Sociedad who don’t have the resources to compete for the league. My bad , I thought you rubbished domestic trophies.
I think he’ll be happy with own now you said it .

When you get upgraded from Chelsea to Arsenal, the glow up is real. Havertz looks ready for next season. I believe he will work really well with Gyokeres.
You can joke if you want to, but he has bulked up. He has clearly been working hard in the last few months on his physique. He has been a very good player for Arsenal so far and he can be even better next season by becoming physically stronger.Did you actually say Glow up?
Good lord we are measuring signings on physical appearances now. I thought certain people online were just mocking that our fans actually fancy players. It might actually be true
You can joke if you want to, but he has bulked up. He has clearly been working hard in the last few months on his physique. He has been a very good player for Arsenal so far and he can be even better next season by becoming physically stronger.
I am only having a laugh but you are right. He has physically improved. He was a decent unit previously and physically duel wise was decent. I want him to do well. Not sure where he will fit in but will be interesting to see where the highest earner at the club will play after Victor arrives. You can joke if you want to, but he has bulked up. He has clearly been working hard in the last few months on his physique. He has been a very good player for Arsenal so far and he can be even better next season by becoming physically stronger.
Havertz will obviously not be a permanent starter anymore, but it’s great that Arsenal now have two strikers with very different profiles from each other while allows Arteta a lot of flexibility.Where is going to play ? Gyokeres is no 1 up front
Yeah he would have been great support on the side lines in cheerleading outfit, whilst proper strikers were playing in a 4-4-2.Havertz would have been a great player to have in the 4-4-2 era as the support striker.
It’s unfortunate that he doesn’t fit in the 4-3-3 where there is one CF in the XI.
Well well wellHavertz will obviously not be a permanent starter anymore, but it’s great that Arsenal now have two strikers with very different profiles from each other while allows Arteta a lot of flexibility.
He will still get plenty of game time across comps. He will be a great option off the bench, can also play in the #10 role if needed and against some teams esp with a low block, you can even pair him and Gyokeres together.
Heard that last summer as well, but retarded Uruguayan will remain retarded. Klopp was clueless in the market since hitting the jackpot with Salah, Van Dijk, Alisson and Fabinho in 2017-2018. All his signings in the last 2-3 years have been poor.Nunez scored more goals than Havertz last season& will become a 20 goal a season striker from next season .
...Not sure if you were listening to games but he was ineffective for much of the season. Sure he can improve but it’s no bagman . You can play him with another striker if required & Arteta often puts him in midfield lol
Yeah he would have been great support on the side lines in cheerleading outfit, whilst proper strikers were playing in a 4-4-2.
No where the level of a Bergkamp or even Kanu. Players who were an ideal support striker.
Yes, @Geordie Ahmed laid the “smackdown” by arguing that Newcastle and Arsenal are on equal footing even though Newcastle is not even attempting to win the PL at the moment.I can see that @MK7Z and @Geordie Ahmed are laying the smack down on Arteta fan boy in both Arsenal and Liverpool thread.
Il go put my feet up and make myself a cup of tea. Seems everything is in hand here![]()
Yes, @Geordie Ahmed laid the “smackdown” by arguing that Newcastle and Arsenal are on equal footing even though Newcastle is not even attempting to win the PL at the moment.
It is interesting that he didn’t even bother to respond to my last post in the Liverpool thread because well, he didn’t have an answer.
I actually respect his views in general, but he fumbled big time her because of his love for his club. I admire that, but let’s call a spade a spade - playing for Newcastle and Arsenal isn’t the same in 2025.
One club has the ambition to win the league and its success/failure will be defined by it. The other club is not even aiming to win the league this season. It is not their expectation, it is not their success metric.
Isak staying at Newcastle in the prime years of his career certainly reflects a lack of ambition on his part.
You argued that if Isak is showing lack of ambition by staying at Newcastle, then so are Saliba and Saka etc., and I have a big problem with this comparison.I didn't argue there is equal footing, please show me where I did that
My argument was claiming a player staying at Newcastle is showing 0 ambition whilst not extending the same to Arsenal players is a double standard
You can make claims about what Arsenal want to do but the fact of the matter is they keep coming up short, do you think if this repeats for the next 10 years that Saliba will be satisfied he got to compete?
Players talk about what they won not what they nearly won and trust me I speak from experience, we bottled the league in 1996, you think those players are delighted with that? Or do you think it plays on their mind to this very day?
Ultimately I hate this attitude from some fans from the so called big 6, where you think other clubs exist simply to feed the bigger clubs and that we should know our place. It's arrogance and not what sport is about
You would have been correct about Mike Ashley's Newcastle United, that was a pathetic excuse of a football club whose sole purpose each year was to just try and stay in the league but don't do anything beyond that. We aren't that club anymore, you should know that based on how many times we've beaten Arsenal since the takeover in comparison to prior to it
We have ambitions to win things but much like you gave Arteta a long rope to get to that stage (5 years and counting is it?) I am willing to give us that too, moreso since we started from a much, much lower based
It is not a fault, it is a different strategy, different vision. I would have been okay with Arsenal not signing a striker and instead investing in a world class LW.But but it'd Edus fault, he wouldn't have signed such players
But but Edu forced Arteta at gun point to sign willian, havertz, Vieira, Merino, calafori..
Was waiting for the let's all blame just edu now that's he left, it's never Artetas fault
Same guy who when edu left was praising him. Usual contradictory bakwas been spouted

You argued that if Isak is showing lack of ambition by staying at Newcastle, then so are Saliba and Saka etc., and I have a big problem with this comparison.
Saliba and Saka are playing for a club that is aiming to win the league now. That is the objective. In comparison, Newcastle is not even interested in competing for the league now. It is not even an objective.
If Arsenal don’t win the league this season, a lot of Arsenal fans would want Arteta to be sacked; if Newcastle don’t win the league this season, almost no Newcastle fan would want Howe to be shown the door.
If Arsenal finish second this season, it will be a disappointment; if Newcastle finish second, it will be an achievement.
So please, don’t compare the level of ambition of Isak and Saka/Saliba. It is not the same at all.
Newcastle might become the best team in the country in a few years. Good for them and good for you, but right now, they are nowhere near the level that someone like Isak deserves, and therefore it is very surprising to see his lack of ambition by not forcing a move to Liverpool when they are knocking on his door.
Arteta has failed to win the league 5 seasons running and you still support him like he's your blood so don't talk to me about having high standards
I've clashed with AJ plenty but one thing he's consistent on is he has high standards for Arsenal and wants Arteta sacked
Meanwhile you keep shifting the goalposts, you had the temerity to question Klopp, Ancelotti yet here you are cheerleading for a guy who has won nothing with the team he's built
So you can spare me this lecture about the two clubs being different
The fact of the matter is Eddie Howe has delivered us a trophy and twice UCL qualification despite having far less in terms of resources than the managers around him
After both of us being on same forums for 20+ years a few clashes between us is fineArteta has failed to win the league 5 seasons running and you still support him like he's your blood so don't talk to me about having high standards

None of this has anything to do with the point that we were discussing. No disrespect, but Arsenal's so-called failures over the last few years tower above the success of Newcastle. You lot would happily trade the League Cup for finishing 2nd in the Premier League three seasons in a row, so there is no need of flashing that irrelevant cup.
Newcastle might become more successful than Arsenal in the future - who knows, but as of today, there is no comparison between the two, and therefore, comparing the ambition of Newcastle and Arsenal players is not well-received.
As of 2025, if Arsenal/City/Liverpool come in for any Newcastle player and are offering him a key role in the team, and the player does not push for the move, they are clearly lacking in ambition and that is what Isak is displaying right now. He is one of the best strikers in the world in his prime and he is happily wasting his career at a club that is currently not even interested in competing for the league and UCL and did an open bus parade for the League Cup.
This is exactly the mindset due to which you will never compete to win the Premier League. Newcastle might be the richest club in the world now, but it still carries the small club mentality. You have absolutely zero understanding of football in this country if you genuinely believe that
No idea where you are based but I guess you missed our trophy celebrations, as if finishing 2nd would have given us a feeling anywhere close to what finally wining a trophy would
But but but Arsenal should sign Musiala because why notBut but Arsenal failure is better than Newcastle failure
Just when you thought the standards couldn't get any worse

I hope you grow out of it as a club otherwise you will be stuck fighting for 4th and celebrating Carabao Cups as an achievement.
Finishing 2nd in the league is a far better outcome than winning a Carabao Cup. Finishing 2nd shows the trajectory of the club and the fact that it’s trending in the right direction. When you finish 2nd, you know that with a little push, you can actually win the league.
This is why in spite of Arsenal winning 3 FA Cups in 4 years, Wenger was pushed out of the door because Arsenal fans had enough of not competing for the league. This is why Ten Hag got the chop in spite of winning two cups in two years.
I saw the open bus parade for the Carabao Cup and frankly it was embarrassing. The richest club in the world celebrating a Carabao Cup like a treble even if it was the first trophy in 56 years.
It is about time Newcastle fans start putting pressure on the manager and the owners to challenge for the Premier League but for that to happen, Newcastle fans will have to change their mentality and start acting like a big club.

Vast majority of match going fans won't call out owner or manager. They are happy just peddaling out excuses every season. Fans see going to games as a socializing element, so calling out manager or owners or by protesting or giving up season tickets in protest won't happen. It is about time Arsenal fans start putting pressure on the manager and the owners to win a major trophy but for that to happen, Arsenal fans will have to change their mentality and start acting like a big club.

Sadly most lemmings have been brainwashed into this "process" like its going to have a happy ending like a fairy tale story.
Carry on like this and eventually Manchester city will pass Arsenal interns of total trophies won at sumpoint in future
Absolute nonsense, do you even understand how PSR works, it prevents clubs that want to show real ambition as your spend is restricted due to revenue
On what basis should we be demanding we challenge for the Premier League? Look at where we were when Howe took over, look at what we've spent in comparison, look at the state of our club under Mike Ashley?
If you think football fans celebrating their team winning a trophy is an embarrassment then quite frankly you need to stop watching football, this sport isn't for people like you.
You are just being ridiculous because I called out your double standards
It is about time Arsenal fans start putting pressure on the manager and the owners to win a major trophy but for that to happen, Arsenal fans will have to change their mentality and start acting like a big club.
You can do an open bus parade for Carabao Cup. I personally find it embarrassing just like Liverpool doing an open bus parade for FA Cup and Carabao Cup (after bottling the PL).I did some digging and I thought it was interesting to see this
View attachment 156222
So he loved how Arsenal celebrated a solitary match but calls a trophy celebration embarrassing?
View attachment 156224
Maybe I have to understand that the celebration was not the problem; maybe the problem was that Howe outclassed Arteta over 2 legs
View attachment 156225
You were quick to ask others to define the parameters of celebrations, so let me extend that request to you, can you define the parameters of celebrating a trophy?
I think the real display of high IQ is paying 70m for the Brentford maulvi when his contract expires next summer. This is what you get with Prawn Sandwich Brigade, with a I.Q. which is pretty much of non existent.
You can do an open bus parade for Carabao Cup. I personally find it embarrassing just like Liverpool doing an open bus parade for FA Cup and Carabao Cup (after bottling the PL).
My problem is with your assessment that winning the Carabao Cup is better than finishing 2nd in the league. Hand on heart - every Newcastle fan would take finishing 2nd thrice in a row over winning the Carabao Cup.
If anyone disagrees, they are being dishonest. If they are being honest, it’s an even bigger problem; it’s a mindset problem.
This applies to Arsenal too - I have no hesitation in stating that the last 3 “trophyless” seasons have been far better than any of the 4 FA Cup winning seasons from 2014-2020.
Winning domestic cups mean nothing when you are not fighting for the league. Those 4 FA Cups did nothing for Arsenal because they were poor in the league back then.
At least now, Arsenal are acting like a big club and competing to win the league. That is the ambition.
If domestic cups were more important than league performance, Ten Hag would not have been sacked.
He had 2 years remaining on his contract actuallyI think the real display of high IQ is paying 70m for the Brentford maulvi when his contract expires next summer.![]()

I hate when people ask this question. But I think it's relevant to help this friendly debate going on here.
Who had a better season Arsenal or Newcastle.
1 came 2nd but never competed really for the title as were never in the race. So you could say had a top 4/5 UCL qualification achievement.
Another club also achieved champions league qualification via top 4/5 as well but had a nice piece of silverware albeit a low rated one to add to it.
If you call that last season a title challenge from Arsenal then Newcastle were also in a title race.
For the record I don't really care much for the league Cup. If Arteta only wins the league Cup next season he deserves the sack. FA Cup would be underwhelming however I quite like the FA Cup but not sure it'll should keep him in a Job this many years into the process.
So I get where Mamoon is coming from to a point but until Arsenal win something nobody is going to remember the runner ups.
