Nwaneri, was regularly playing under De Zerbi.
Marseille have huge financial issues if they don't make into Europe next season. So they are already cutting costs, that includes not playing Nwaneri as it costs the french club payments to Arsenal for each game that he plays.
Plenty of clubs have done that before when all of a sudden, they stopped picking players as certain number of appearances etc.. triggers off payment clauses or deals
Arsenal did this with Pepe at back end of his spell, same happened this season with Villa not playing a player they signed from Liverpool as it would trigger clauses after certain number of games.
The players father had indicated this as well in regards to Nwaneri game time been cut short at Marseille

No that is not the reason. Of course his father would say that, he will not say that his son has an attitude issue.
Nwaneri was loaned to Marseille only because Arteta wanted him to play under De Zerbi. When he got sacked, the new manager didn’t trust him and based on his comments, it’s clear that Nwaneri didn’t put in the effort in training to win his trust and is kind of sulking. This isn’t a good look for a young player.
Not getting playing time on loan doesn’t mean you are a bad player. Pulis didn’t rate Gnarby at West Brom before he moved to Bayern and became one of the best wingers in Europe at a time.
Nwaneri is young and still has time to be a really good player but not showing full commitment on loan spells is exactly how a lot of talented players don’t make it and get fizzled out.
Saliba was loaned multiple times and he performed really well. Harry Kane was passed around like a hot potato for years before Spurs gave him a chance and rest is history.
Both Nwaneri and Skelly need to improve their attitude if they are going to make it at Arsenal or any other big club.
