Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan (128) suffer a massive 228-run defeat against India (356/2) in the Super 4 clash

People fail to understand just how difficult it is to bat under lights at the best of times, to do it successfully at Colombo, especially after the heavy rain they have had is a very tough ask. As was bowling with a wet outfield, an injured bowler, a semi injured bowler and a bad call at the toss.

Pakistan's best chance is to negate the early seam and swing and to start hitting out post the 10 over or so.
Exactly ball does a lot more under lights what was babar and Co thinking when the choose to ball first?

Is siraj very good or average? At times he looks dangerous but then some days he just leaks runs.

What a garbage batting so far. Imam will not win games for Pak when there is a big total. He was trying stat pad again by playing too defensive. No idea what's going on with Fakhar.

Fakar doing the right thing here. Just play out this opening burst from India and cash in when spinners and Shardul/Pandya comes in.

Indian bowlers looks well rested and with plan, they are not there for personal glories.

We will always have results like this against India until they start playing bilateral series against each other regularly, but that won’t happen under the Indian government

Pakistan is such a pathetic team whenever they're playing against a full strength team

What’s pakistan doing here? They will need 270ish in 30 overs if rain does intervene

This is a 260-270 wicket, max. Flatter than the Pallekele one since Pallekele had more uneven bounce and double pace nature. But still very tough, most Sri Lankan pitches are like this, unlike the flatties in Lahore and Mumbai.

India should quickly get their overs in, 20 overs done and game is theirs

You have to feel for the batsmen. There is nothing they can do against a 140k delivery that can swing both ways.

had tuned off....why is KL keeping, after scoring 100? is Ishaan injured? ....we have to play again tommorow against lanka

Good to see great pace again.
Bumrah consistently over 139.
Siraj too bowling fast.

Naseem bumrah siraj shaeen rauf shami chameera lahiru
Lot of quality odi bowlers in Asia.

It's like the first morning of a Test at an overcast Lord's. Perhaps somewhat stung by the criticism after the rain abandoned Kandy match which Pakistan probably edged on points, India have really come out swinging in this match.

Landing some psychological blows before the next encounter even if rain returns.

I know some cannot wait to stick the knife in, but you cannot expect a quality team like India in SC conditions to simply lie down.

Our so-called King needs to make some tough decisions instead of just hiding behind his pacers to save his neck.

luckkyyy luckyy luckkyyy..

who is this umpire, havve to say very good umpiring

Sensible post

This is what happens when you continue to play against mediocre or B-grade sides.

King BABAR looking like a tailender.

Batting is difficult under lights, don't know why Babar decided to bowl first.

did india switch keepers? why?
Maybe to give practice to KL Rahul who will be our primary keeper in the WC. Since he was out for so long due to injury and we have very few ODIs left before the WC.

Can everyone just stop about calling players tail ender based on Bumrah spell.

If you bothered to watch the match properly he’s bowling some jaffas. Name me a player who can just take on that kind of spell.

Ball will lose its shine and then let’s see.

Have to give credit to Indian bowlers , aside from the wides they have been on pinpoint precision .

Kishan wont be the starting keeper?
