India lead by 82 runs

How much runs can India increase their lead by?

I have a feeling Aussies will make a comeback with the bat. India will take 150 runs here, which will be enough for Indian to win the match.

India is not going to get a better chance to get back on level terms.

You're implying there's still a chance for an Australia victory?

Some people have already guaranteed a win at this point for India. :yk

150 will be like 300 in 4th innings even against ordinary attacks. This is a top class attack. India cannot chase over 100.

India has lost many matches from this point(SENA) way too many times for the fans to trust this situation..

Wicket looks pretty flat now. I expect Australia to score over 350 in their second innings. This means India has to score close to 400 here to have a chance to win this Test.
I feel for the batsmen that got out when the conditions were tough.

50 shouldnt have been this important that you run your captain out. Top knock from Rahane comes to an unfortunate end.

India still very much in the drivers seat. Aus batting is yet to do anything in the series.

As stupid as it can be - basically giving Aussies a sniff of a chance to make a come back

Jaddu getting Pandya ro in CT 17 was also terrible, defn a very selfish player!

Starc the test bowler blows hot and cold. If teams prepare for Aussie bowlers they can manage except for Cummins..

Easier to bat today. Smith might make his presence felt in the series for the first time with better batting conditions.

I’m almost certain that it was Rahane making sure Jaddu stays calm and scores and now he is out

Pandya is better than Jaddu ,just needs to get his bowling in order and be back in the team.

Jaddu's weakness is exposed. Do some talwaarbazi or tarkashbaazi in front of him and he will get out.

Australia need to stand and bat for once in this series! The game is right there for them to win if they just apply themselves

131 lead

300 in the 3rd innings and it’s going to be a nail biter

Aussies need to bat of skin here to have any chance, They would need to at least 400 here in the second innings

Just like that run out of Kohli which changed the course of First Test, I have a feeling that Rahne's run out will cost India something. 131 is indeed a daunting lead, but it's not a KO punch and Aussies will start batting when the wicket is at it's batting best. 350 in 3rd innings, India will have a TASK at hand.

Jaddu is such an idiot. Could have batted sensibly and scored a lot more. A small window is open for Australia to make a comeback.

Our spinners will be key now. Need to get Australia under 250.

The problem is Aussies batting , they need solid partnerships here to make a match here

Some from Aus needs to go big and the game is there to be won. I was very surprised by the fightback by India here, but if Aus puts 350 -400 runs, they can win it. Pitch is best to bat right now.

To be fair to him, he was getting some brutal bouncers from Starc. May be wanted to take him on and change the length.

Jadeja lost his cool and it costed 30-40 runs.

Starc could not have bowled many more overs.

Hope that Starc celebration spices up this tour. Think it will.
Smith told Jadeja to bring out the knife instead of sword. And Lyon also sledged him. It will be some Karma if Jadeja gets Smith and brings out some celebration with knife.😂😂😂

It's always about his stupid sword celebration. Who celebrates so much over a 50 :shezzy2 Rahane was sacrificed to that blunt sword.

After investing over a decade in Jadeja for which the returns have only been test wickets in India, he's started contributing a little now. But the old selfish, almost-there-but-never-quite ways remain.

And that was wrong to do at that time. He batted very well for his 57, could have batted longer and may be even score a hundred and put us in a commanding position. Its a good inning but he needs not to throw it away like that.

Pitch is completely flat now. Steve Smith will score a century for sure. This is the chance he is waiting for. Labushagne will also score big. Indian bowling will be tested here.

Thought that was Paine.

Still, they have a good tail. For India, 6 down and you can basically count balls. Advantage India definitely, but there was similar advantage in 1st Test as well....

Indians wont be able to chase anything more that 150 tops and even that will be a mission itself.

What's all the negativity with you guys, your in the box seat, Australian batting is average at best, they generally bat well as front runners, not when they under pressure

If Aus can get to 120-130 with only 2 wickets, they have a good chance to win this test. It's the best time to bat here.

An onfield umpire giving a full yorker hitting you in front of middle stump not out - wow. See Aussies start cheating now. They always do when pushed to a corner.

Not to mention allowing the decision review after the timer was up. This is getting too blatant.

That should be the end of Burns's career. He just is not good enough.

This Indian attack is really good and has incredible depth. Probably the best in the world at the moment. Difficult choice between them and the Australians but I probably would go with them for an all-condition attack.

Joe Burns might not be good enough for this level but that was a beauty by Yadav. Much better batsmen would've gotten out to that.

Romali_rotti must have enjoyed Umesh Yadav's opening wicket. Or is he still to wake from his Rahul Gandhi dream :shezzy2

This can be an innings victory or one where IND only need some courtesy runs in order to knock the target off.

Hoping IND get over the line.

There are three matches going on with Asian sides playing in SENA at the moment. In an ideal world all three would have been victorious but right now it’s IND who look like victors. Hopefully SRL can too. Would be great if PAK could salvage a draw.

Good wishes to the neighbours :)
