26 runs of last over, such a strong finish

157 runs are the target for kiwis , Still pretty chaseable.

AUS 156/6 (20) CRR: 7.8
Innings Break

Aaron Finch is now Australia's leading run-scorer in men's T20Is!

He also becomes the first batsman from his country to hit 100 T20I sixes

Can't beat an Australia without Warner or 3 of their first choice bowlers. Yeah NZ have no chance at the World T20.

New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee has been reprimanded for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the third T20I against Australia in Wellington.

Southee was found to have breached Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during an International Match.”

In addition to this, one demerit point has been added to the disciplinary record of Southee, for whom it was the first offence in a 24-month period.

The incident occurred in the first over of the match on Wednesday, when Southee shouted at the umpire in a disrespectful manner after a leg before wicket review taken against Australia opener Aaron Finch was declared an umpire’s call and given not out.

Southee admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by Jeff Crowe of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees and ratified by the ICC Cricket Operations department as per the COVID-19 interim playing regulations. There was no need for a formal hearing.

On-field umpires Chris Gaffaney and Wayne Knights, third umpire Shaun Haig and fourth official Chris Brown levelled the charges.

Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand, a maximum penalty of 50 per cent of a player’s match fee, and one or two demerit points

A clinical performance from Australia as they bowl New Zealand out for 106 to set up a 50-run win in the fourth T20I

AUS 156/6 (20)
NZ 106 (18.5)

Australia won by 50 runs

Kane Williamson: The way the Australian side adjusted and the way Finch played, we knew it was going to be tough. Frustrating, but we have to adjust quite quickly. The surface surprised everybody, but it was important to adjust as quickly as possible and bounce back. Today we lacked intent and got behind the eight ball. It was a competitive total, but it was a poor batting performance by us. Something we need to touch upon on. You are going to get overs of four runs and five runs on such surfaces. But it's the big overs that matters, that give you such competitive totals. It was a match winning knock by Finch. We need to learn and adapt quickly.

Aaron Finch: Just hanging in there towards the end helped me. I had visions of getting 50 off 60 balls or something, but lucky to get the momentum towards the end. I was trying to hit a little too hard initially. We had to take it as deep as we could after we lost a couple of wickets. It was nice to hit a few big ones towards the closing stages. We adapted well with the ball, learning from how NZ bowled. It was important to take pace off the ball. I thought Ashton Agar was superb in the powerplay. We just wanted to take it a bit more deeper than usual. We probably struggled a bit, but got that one over which gave us the momentum going into the break. We knew that the powerplay could make or break the game. We bowled really nice.
