I think Ashwin should have been played. He is the only wicket taking bowler from the spin department.We are trailing because we don't have any support bowler for Bumrah unlike last two tour where Ishant, shami and Umesh were supported bumrah very well.
I'm not talking about batsman just from bowling point of view.
His length is not good . either to short or too full .

Seems like that disturbance behind the sightscreen just before the ball could've played a part.
He can crank it up in T20's and can touch 145k's. But he is not built to bowl at that speed in longer formats. Never liked his style of bowling.
Yea.. Reddy runs are costly.

Sundar and Jaddu should be bowling when Siraj and Bumrah are resting.
Both are useless and Australia can easily score 6RPO against them.
This happened when you play two many bits and pieces player's like Sundar, Jadeja and reddy.

Just think if Shami was fit for this series . A relentless attack of Shami ,bumrah and siraj.
Well brainfade etc are part of series. Last time, Ahswin and some one hung there for 40 overs to draw. It evens out.If not pant had brainfade, series would have 1-1 scoreline .
Than rain is also part of play and how can you say India would have lost , india also had chance 50% to win That game as well Last time ( 2018)!, rain saved Australia otherwise series results would have been 3-1.
