Australia has been a dominant force in the competition, and even with a few players rested, they'll likely field a formidable team. Scotland, however, has shown impressive form and can't be ruled out of pulling off a historic upset. A win would secure their spot in the next T20 World Cup and the Super Eight stage. Scotland's top order, led by George Munsey, packs a punch, while captain Richie Berrington provides a steadying influence in the middle order.

The partnership between Berrington and Leask was instrumental in their victory over Namibia. Australia has the luxury of looking ahead to the Super Eight stage, where they'll face stiff competition from Afghanistan, India, and possibly Bangladesh. They may choose to rotate players for this match, having stated their aim to give every squad member game time. The two teams last met in the 2015 ODI World Cup, with Australia emerging victorious by seven wickets. Leask believes this could work in Scotland's favor, as Australia may underestimate their capabilities, given their current form.

Squads:

Australia
Squad: Travis Head, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh(c), Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, Matthew Wade(w), Pat Cummins, Nathan Ellis, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, Ashton Agar, Josh Inglis, Cameron Green

Scotland Squad: George Munsey, Michael Jones, Brandon McMullen, Richie Berrington(c), Matthew Cross(w), Michael Leask, Chris Greaves, Mark Watt, Christopher Sole, Safyaan Sharif, Brad Wheal, Bradley Currie, Ollie Hairs, Jack Jarvis, Charlie Tear

Australia might throw this game tbh. Their a team that's looking to win. They might want to remove England from the get go

If this happens, Marsh will follow with a ban
Naw, no banning will be done. All this drama doesn't happen. It's not a bollywood movie.

England are a bigger threat then Scotland. Its a good strategy to get them out right here and now.

Ay are talking about Aussies plausibly throwing a game but banning them for doing it is Bollywood?

There are no points for topping the group. They have already qualified.

They can rest their entire main bowling attack, bowl only part timers to Scotland and rationalise it saying that they were practicing how to chase 220 on these wickets.

And to be honest , they're well within their rights to do that.

These are the same boys who bowled David Warner to Pakistan in a warmup mainly because they wanted to test their ability to defend under pressure.

They are well within rights to test their b string and bowl poorly and throw the game by just saying we wanted to feel the pressure of chasing a 220 target or we wanted to feel the pressure of defending a low total.

Already rumors are circulating about Australia keeping England out and cummings and Marsh both proclaimed that their testing their b string. So it's clear their planning to give themselves a challenge and maybe keep England out

EXACTLY SO. I was about to say the same. The result of the game will not affect them (y)

If Australia decides to rest all their key players and give their bench players a rest because the result is of no consequence, and should they happen to lose. I would like to see how the officals will prove Auss throw the match.:ROFLMAO:(y)

The officials can't do anything or prove anything.

Theirs nothing stopping Australia from bowling David warner again, nor is their anything stopping Australia from throwing their wicket away by crap shots.

Their a team that wants to win and eliminate the competition. They know England is a tough competitor so why would they wish to have England cross?

Lastly, they'd rather take their chances playing USA, Bangladesh, West Indies/Afghanistan in Super 8's then play India, South Africa, West Indies/Afghanistan.

Usa and Bangladesh are very easy wins for them. And guarantee a semi final spot.

That's different to deliberately losing or instructing players to lose.

So who can and how will they prove Australia deliberately lose :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
It's a "Bollywood" scenario spun by people who don't understand the gentle trolling by Hazelwood.

These Aussies always play to win. They are a cut throat ruthless side and that's why they dominate cricket.

If Scotland win they will have won fair and square, Australia won't be taking it easy.

If Scotland win, they wouldn't just qualify but would also top the group.

All or nothing for Scotland.

Australia have won the toss and opted to bowl first.

This is some hitting. Why are these guys not playing IPL. Hope they scout these guys next mega auction

These Scottish batsmen are much better than rizwan and babar and other losers in Pakistan team.
Loving their intent.

Scotland has been brilliant this tournament. Glad BD didn't have Scotland in their group.

Brandon McMullen has already hit 5 sixes and his career strike rate is 148.
Proper t20 player.

Lol Australia has dropped 6 catches in 15 overs. Hahahahah.
This must be some kind of record.

Mitch Marsh dropped 3 catches. Not sure what the target score is.for aussies so Scots can be above England in NRR.

England is already much better than Scotland in terms of NRR. Scotland's only chance is by winning it.

Sole 90 mph ! Hit the deck. If these had played at new york they would have upset more than a few teams

Won’t go down well with England if Australia manage to lose

One point more. Moment you lose this match that NRR will further go down.
Lol thanks. I thought Scots had 3 points and they needed to win with a margin for NRR. Just saw they already have 5. Maxi goes and Scots are.closer

Buttler will start packing if Stoinis and Head get out right now. But if these two stay they will win it.
