What's new

Australia [377 & 87/3] defeat Bangladesh [305 & 157] by 7 wickets to win 2nd Test, series drawn 1-1

I think this wicket will start to take turn from 3rd day.So Bangladesh should Target to play as much overs as possible tomorrow.350 will be the target.First 10 overs will decide.

350 will be hard to get , Aussies will come out really hard tomorrow.

Need another 120+ runs to make it BD's way...morning session would be vital...hoping for zero wicket morning session

You can't say it before aussie's first innings. They can be bundled under 230s,you never know before their first innings

I haven't watched the game but reading reports etc I got the impression this is a wicket where teams would pile up 400-500 during first 3 days

It's flat. People saying good score on 300 probably aren't watching and assuming it's the same as Dhaka. Very much australias game right now

I think, wicket looking better because AUS actually bowled poorly. Their 2 bowlers did maintained standard & one of them took 5 wickets in Day 1. AUS can score some runs, but it won't be a fast scoring innings, while if the sun is out for whole day, by Sterno, it'll turn & behave like tennis ball bounce If we can bat after lunch, for a total in access of 330, it won't be easy for Aussies, who would bat in 4th innings.

Dhaka was different wicket - sharp turn, uneven bounce & double paced from Day 1, 1st session; this is a different wicket which'll get slower & lower with time.

The wicket is definitely flatter. Actually this is a more proper cricket wicket. The ball will start to really turn from day 3 or 4 but it's not a complete Road. Some deliveries keeping low.

Australia are guilty of bowling wrong lines. They pitched the bowl too full and sometimes short. Got punished.

Agar and Keefe haven't looked threatening at all. Bangladesh too needs to be wary of the fact that we need to bowl well.

That stumping was criminal. How did the batsman not get the benefit of the doubt when one angle showed he was behind the line, and the other didn't?

Great partnership ended by Aleem Dar's bad decision.

This could get interesting. :shakib

You have to watch before comment. It's neither deck nor rank turner. 300+ to 350 wicket of first innings. From 3rd or 4th day it will be rank turner if rain stays away.

Now, Nasir needs to pace up. 330 won't be a bad effort.

Mushy is a big loss

But the two in the middle can bat.

Feel bad for miraz. He looks like a complete batsman but bats at 9 and has to do the bulk of the bowling. To make matters worse our tail doesn't wag.

Miraz is more technically solid than most of the batsman in the side. I reckon he would be batting at 4 in the future. He is that talented

England should hammer this Australia team. They need to recall Khawaja

Miraz is technically decent bat, but he needs to improve his shot making ability. Power hitting won't happen for him, but he can build on timing & placements.

Top 8 down for only 293.

BANG have wasted batting first by throwing wickets away to make the pitch look like it was day 5 on a Harbhajan curated pitch.

Two things that give me hope:

1) Australian batting looked like a cartoon aside from Smith & Warner in the first test.
2) Pitch may be unplayable for AUS batting 4th.

In his short career, Miraz is been run out twice (probably 2 more in ODI)!!!!!

7/94 from Lyon, well bowled. 16 wickets so far in series with one innings to go - if AUS levels the series, he should get MoS.

Australia can take a big lead until unless the pitch deteriorates significantly or Bangladesh bowlers bowls some magical spells.Bangladeshi batsmen are real guilty here for not putting up 400 plus score here.

If Australians bat according to their known abilities, they should be able to overhaul the total.

Mustafiz I think will enjoy bowling here.He can be a threatening weapon here. This pitch will suit his bowling i think.

BANG commentators are no worse than PAK commentators, but who is this BANG cousin who sounds like Waqar's slightly more educated version?

And who is this Aussie guy anyway? He makes me wish Danny Morrison was commentating. And I don't know if Danny Morrison likes his own commentary.

Here comes the dangerman!! If Smith and Warner gone then Bangladesh will be in the driver's seat. But that will be some job in hand.

He is not a Bangladeshi commentator, probably he is a Zimbabwean.

Lyon bowled tremendously well here. Miraz can learn from him.But I am really disappointed with his bowling in this series. He is not bowling in right speed. He has become just a floater with bowling wrong line often. He is not turning the ball that much.

Mehedy is a one series wonder. His bowling is getting worse and worse.

Taijul only bowls good on minefield like that Dhaka pitch. Shakib is the only quality spinner in this side.Bangladesh's spin bowling is not that lethal.

Mushfiqur's captaincy lacks any imagination. He is too much orthodox.Again rubbish Mehdy is back

Mehdy is going to be dropped soon.He don't possess any variation in bowling. He is a one series wonder like Indian Norendra Hirwani

This pitch is a flat batting track.Bangladeshi batsmen made it look like a minefield.

I haven't seen a single Mehdy delivery spinning away from Warner.Rubbish bowling.

I have a feeling that this second wicket pair will need to do the bulk of scoring. The batsmen to follow may only prove to be passengers.

I don't think the pitch is as flat as it seems

Some deliveries have turned. If Australia don't score more than 350 they can't win because they will be batting on 5th day.

193 trail

I think we can get 8 wickets for 225 runs and then bat and score 275ish in the second innings
