Watching Steve Smith get distracted by the buggy cam from the POV of the buggy cam was hilarious.
 
Pakistan Bowlers Don't have a proper plan against Smith throughout this whole series. In Karachi or Pindi, I can't remember they tried to do the bouncer tactic, however,r I highly doubt Neil Wagner bouncer tactic is a weakness of Smith because he has probably worked hard to overcome this weakness.
 
Beautiful bowling by hasan last over. It had everything. Probing lines nd lengths and movement both ways
 
Unbelievable. Dropping Smith and Khawaja in two consecutive balls.

Can't think of much worse you can do in this sport.

I wonder if Pakistan will ever improve in the fielding aspect of the game. It's the one thing that continues to haunt us

Wow. Doesn't get any funnier or crueler than this. Drop two guys in consecutive balls and next over one smashes you for a four while the other smashes you for a six.
 
Australia should score 600+. This time we cannot save innings defeat. Pathetic team management.
 
PCB advertise pakistani practice sessions too much on youtube like they are some kind of world beaters in matches.
I really cant understand the outcome of these catching practice sessions if they cannot take catches in match situations.
 
Imam is not the right person to stand there in silly point, or short leg..

He is a bit afraid to stand in there and standing a bit far.. They should have someone like Fawad or Shafique to stand there..

As mentioned by commies his technique is also not good going for that catch... That was an easy and regular catch for someone who tend to stand close to the batsman...
 
Just noticed how long Pakistan's tail is.

Could be an issue.

With desi fielding coach they probably don't have to worry about paying him on time. Which was clearly a problem for them with Rixon...a guy who actually improved their fielding when he was there.
 
The only bowler worth watching after Shaheen in this team is Naseem.

He's bowling at the same pace as Pat Cummins. I know he's not exactly lighting the world on fire but I think we need to cut the bowlers some slack on a pitch like this.
 
I think criticism Is unfair.
Smith’s shot velocity was so much, noman spilled it because of that, it was no way a simple catch at all.
 
Is Saqlain any better than Misbah/Waqar? Kept same 3 non-performers for 3 tests in a row. Also, who is our fielding coach?
 
Hasan seem to be in no form, Faheem should have played as he bowled better in last match and is also much better batsman.
 
Shadab is far better than Nauman and Sajid. Also, what is the obsession with this talentless Naseem?
 
Evenly balanced first session of the Test, however Australia would be happy to make some recovery after the initial couple of wickets.
 
Just finished work.

Lovely nut from Shaheen to get Marnus- crazy dip and away from a fast bowler. Wasim would be happy with that one.

Seriously comparing hasan with pat :ashwin..

Cummins was bowling 138-140ish regularly and with his height extracts that extra bounce and troubles batsman with line and length..
 
These drops will prove to be costly we should have Aussies in huge trouble here.

One thing better on Saqlain's part is he wont block a youngsters chance by having them as water boy for series after series..

Good to see him give chances to Abdullah , Imam and Naseem in this series against Aus.. Performing in this series against Aus will do a lot to their confidence..

On the other hand, he seems ok to play non-performers after failures.
Azhar ali he cant drop him in Lahore after he scored 185 in First test, fair enough, but Fawad and Sajid should have been dropped atleast


Fawad i hope is a last chance in this test... 2 bad runs already.. Nauman and Sajid also i hope would be running their last run, if they go wicketless here, surely there will be calls to drop them..

Do you have trouble reading? I compared their pace. And you're wrong. Pat has been bowling in the mid to high 130s the entire series.

Traditionally Hasan Ali bowls at high 130s-140s too, but not in this series.

Both spinners off zero control and dont take wickets.
 
Get Nauman off and get seamers on before inns starts to drift.
 
Lol at posters asking for Fawad to be dropped,he has been one of the best Pakistan test batsman. One test failure are knives are out, just because he is not young man we forget all his performances and ability.
 
Pakistan playing some seriously undisciplined cricket. 2 dropped catches, 4 overs behind the overrate and 6 no balls! (three of which came from a left-arm spinner!)...all within the first 27 overs of the match.

Badly need to get a grip on things.

We have a serious longterm issue here we are not going to win many at home with the spinners we have at our disposal
 
4 harmless Back of length balls and then the dangerous Pitched up ball with drift. That's classical pattern of Sajid Khan wickets.
 
Argh...how can you start a Test match on Monday and close it on Friday? It should always be Thursday to Monday or Wednesday to Sunday.
 
So it's reversing, and Naseem was brought into this game for reverse swing at great pace, so Babar azam takes off Shaheen and brings on Hasan ali for 130 kph :facepalm:
 
Now the ball is reversing please do not bring back this useless spinners
 
Okay so Hasan's pace has dropped considerably now. And he's not gonna get it to reverse at that pace.

Get Naseem back on. And try to get Afridi back on soon. Otherwise this golden opportunity will be gone too.

You are comparing traditional pace of Hasan, may be he bowled that when he was young..

Hasan seems to be bowl 5-8kph slower than Pat on average or even more.

Isnt Hasans average pace was around 132 and Pat was around 138 ?..

It would have been different game had Pak took their catches early on. Aussies middle order qould have been in a hard battle. This is why fielding is so important, top teams take their catches that is why their bowlers seem more potent.
 
Only reason I can think of of bowling the spinners is getting ahead of the overrate. But honestly you can do that later. Get the pacers on from both ends and make use of the reverse.

No. Hasan's average pace is mid to high 130s. He's not bowling at the pace he usually bowls at. Pat is high 130s consistently but his pace too has dropped in this series.
 
The ball is reversing and we’ve got our slowest pace bowler and lollipop spinners on. Great captaincy
 
Looks like Rizwan is also set for a poor game with the gloves. Almost dropped Labu's catch also.
 
Watching Naseem and Sajid is torture. It's getting to me mentally.
 
Losing tosses has hurt PAk ..they went it with very brave line up not sure the right one. Our Tail is huge.
Starc will eat us alive

exactly we should have had Aussies 70/4 in 1st session. instead now we are letting game and inns drift away.
 
I’ve never seen 2 spinners so unsuccessful and toothless and maintain their selections throughout a whole series
 
Another match where Pakistan will succumb to scoreboard pressure. Babar has to rank among Pakistan's worst ever captains. Keeping spinners on when ball is reversing. That's a new low even by Pakistani captain standards.
 
The spinners have been poor....they haven't managed to even hold an end if not taking wickets
