Warner gets an early retirement gift.. jeez that was a dolly.. pak fielders need to be mentally stitched on.
 
When even experienced players have dropped Warner , why is Saim being blamed. He's on debut for crying out loud.

About babar I think we found out about him since 2022 Asia Cup final, wc final, and the cherry on the top was his awful performance in the 50 over world cup
 
Pakistan's bowling plans have been brilliant. Just don't have a bowler of Cummins' pedigree or a fielders to back the bowling unit

Cummins has been the difference between the attacks.

Babar Azam’s career average against SENA + WI + SL: 46.20

He literally has almost the exact same average against SENA as his career average. Criticism is fine, but making things up is wrong.
 
sajid is such a nothing bowler
should have gone with another pacer in wasim jr instead of our 3rd choice spinner

He's an awful spinner don't know what selectors thought when they selected him. Chacha would have been much better as an all rounder and spinner alone

True he played most of his 7 matches in pakistan and even on those pitches his performance was nothing. Now Warner cutting lose

Babar Azam avarage at home 71 and outside 37 .
No impactful inning outside the subcontinent.

The issue is actually that he is a bit too much of a home track bully.
 
we can never win if these guys keep dropping basic catches. There needs to be accountability

What does that have to do with the original post? He was called a minnow basher, I just provided the numbers showing they he has the same record against the major teams as he does against SENA.

He’s been great in England, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka in his limited number of matches there. The only country he has been really really bad in is Australia. But also the number of matches he’s played outside of home is pretty limited, Pakistan does not get many high quality away tours.

So far only:
2 matches in New Zealand
3 in South Africa
4 in England

He’s gotten 8 matches in Australia where he has performed badly, although on the last tour he was quite good, scoring a 104 followed by a 97.

But still that was not the original claim. He was called a minnow basher, which is factually not true. If you want to say he is not as good in Australia/South Africa than he is at home, then yes I would agree with that.
 
We also found out Abdullah Shafique is on course to become a flop as well

Babar has 31 away tests.

So 20 more, I guess? 50 is plenty away test.

Look at the countries he played in.

Babar has played more than half as many away tests as Warner has but Warner has played almost 5x as many Test matches in England, 2x as many matches in South Africa. The same number in New Zealand.

Babar has been way better in England and New Zealand than Warner has. I mean Warner’s away average is only 31.

But yeah if Babar gets another 1-2 tours in England, 1-2 tours in South Africa, and 1-2 tours in New Zealand, then he’d have an actually big enough sample size of SENA tests to judge from.

So far he’s been very good in England and New Zealand, average in South Africa, and pretty bad - aside from one tour - in Australia.
 
What an incredible ball from Salman!

His first over and he’s already gotten more purchase from the surface than Sajid did in all his overs.
 
Salman from every aspect looks ten times better than Sajid as an offie. Gets some shape on the ball, and can actually spin it!
Sajid is right arm straight bowler.
 
Salman did a great job with the ball I don't know why they played nothing player in saijid should have gone with waseem jr

In Salman, we have a decent spinning all rounder and in Jamal, fast bowling one... we've not had that since the days Afridi and Razzaq playing together

I hope they continue to develop. I was really happy with Salman’s batting on the Sri Lanka tour and it seems like his bowling has gotten much much better!

Warner being Aus will ensure plenty of games against Eng. i wasn't comparing Warner with Babar anyway. I was showing that 30 away tests are actually very high number given the fact that one opposition, India, is missing for Babar.

Time is running out for him because 50 away test is lots of away tests and he may play around 50 away tests.
 
Salamn Agha and Jamal are the finds of the tour for Pakistan.

Agha is 30, not too old. Hard to believe that Jamal is only 27. He looks much older than Agha.

I agree with that but he has performed very good in most of his away tours. He has a very good record in England, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka. He basically gets no credit for his performances in the subcontinent and just does not have many opportunities to pile up runs in SENA counties since we don’t play many Test matches there.

His worst record funny enough is in Zimbabwe.
 
Think Shakeel can try his arm on a pitch like this too...Babar as well ..
 
Good tight bowling from Pakistan. Usually, they go 4-5 runs per over in Aus.

Both are more than decent all rounders. They are true all rounders in my opinion. Especially Jamal. He can get in the team based on batting or bowling alone.
 
Both Labu and Khwaja are tuk tuk masters. Pakistan will not be worried by their scoring.
 
Is the players initiation ritual that they must drop Aussies and you get double the points if its Warner? Absolutely disgraceful how awful all these players are at fielding and you know what, seniors need to go up these kids and start scolding them to get the fielding right. It's completely unacceptable that these guys can't take dolly catches and repeatedly lose focus despite knowing how many drops have occurred in Australia already.

Pakistan have turned an above average Test opener who is mostly a home track bully into an absolute legend for Aussies.

Travis Head and Mitch Marsh must be licking their lips seeing this benign pitch. Marsh should kick himself if he doesn't get a century here, if he gets the chance to bat.

He has to go big few times when match is on stake playing away. Otherwise, average may look good but no big impact knocks. He has just 2 away tons and that's not even big tons. I think that's why fans don't remember Babar when playing outside home.

Most of the times, some other Pakistani batsman has out batted him in away tours. That's not a good sign. You got to dominate 4-5 away series and go big. Good batsmen have that in their career. 2 away ton with 31 away test is simply disappointing. Some more time left but not too much.

It's not as if he has been stand-out out of 22 players in home even. I mean he has a good average and good record but not stand out player in a match let alone in series.

Look at it this way, 52 test and grand total of 1 MOM in test. I am not saying MOM is everything, but it shows that you can be stand out in match. let say he plays 100 tests. At this rate it will be 2 MOM in test. I think you can see why many fans don't rate Babar high.

Does not mean that he is a poor batsman or should be dropped as discussed in another thread. That's a bad idea. He is a very good batsman.

People take babar for granted. He's done well even abroad except aus. Problem is pak fans compare him to and want home to perform kike kohli root Smith which is unfair. Let him be him and he's been pak best batsman the last few years
 
Pleasantly surprised to see Hamza's increase in pace.

It has had no adverse impact on his ability to swing and bowl with accuracy.

You can clearly see that he's running in quicker and really attacking the crease.

Same all bowlers have done well in this tour except faheem and sajid until now
 
Hasan walking around as if he has a bad tummy though Isa says ankle . No decent 5th bowling option .
 
What was marnus telling Rizwan there couldn't make it out. Something about bails dislodged?
 
Going at under 3 RPO on this placid pitch is pathetic. They are batting like they are saving a Test match.

If a subcontinent team bats this slowly on a placid wicket, commies would criticize them for their approach.
