Australia 1st innings: 225-all out
Windies 1st innings: 143-all out

Australia are leading by 137 runs. :inti

Aussies are on top. This seems like a very low-scoring pitch.

Cummins should've been gone, if only the windies reviewed.
Have to feel for both Josephs and Seales, they are quality and deserve to be backed up by a far better set of batters in the xi

Green being Aus's best batter on a green top vs top class seam bowling is a good signs for Aus, he may have a good ashes series.

If Green can nail down the no.3 spot and also, can somehow manage to increase his workload to be a reliable bowler, that would be a huge win for us.

Why are we mistreating Labu bro 😭😭😭. What did he do?

He deserves no 3. Green is a good batter but he should only be a fill in for Webster atm if Webster is unavailable

Some whispers going around that Labu is going to be opening in the Ashes, probably at the expense of Ussie.

That should be the end of the Konstas experiment . Will be a free wicket during the Ashes at this rate. Too young and too raw for this level.

Agreed, mate. Best thing for his development is now to go back and play Shield cricket and dominate. Plenty of time left for him to come back to the national team and establish himself. At the moment, his confidence is just being destroyed by throwing him in the deep end at the test cricket level.

Australia don't have any other option so they rushed him to early . Which player will they select? Any name

Khawaja is already declined so Australia need Both new openers but I don't think they have any options before the Ashes.

:kp

One day, 10 years from now when he bullies, butchers and murks every team to the point that you feel helpless, then you shall see how wrong you were in your assessment.

All hail Konstas, the soon to be greatest player of the next generation :don

Brilliant Boland breaking new ground in tight Jamaican tussle

The dream career run for Scott Boland has continued in Jamaica, with the Australian fast bowler setting new standards for modern day fast bowlers after another stellar effort with ball in hand.

With his 3/34 at Sabina Park in Australia's third Test against the West Indies, Boland's Test bowling average now stands at 17.33, the best of any bowler in the last 110 years of Test cricket (minimum 2000 balls bowled).

Only England's Syd Barnes stands above Boland for bowlers since 1900, with the other six bowlers above Boland all hailing from the 1800s, and in the infancy of Test cricket.

After making just 225 in the first innings, Australia roared back through their four-pronged pace attack, bundling out the hosts for just 143 to take away a first innings lead.

The quick spoiled the work of West Indies top-scorer John Campbell (36) who shouldered arms to a delivery that nipped back into his pads, and it was the fast-bowler's angle and seam into the right-hander that also led to Shai Hope's demise on 23.

Boland returned to clean up the tail by hitting the stumps of Shamar Joseph, ensuring the tourists took away an 82-run lead.

The hosts hit back late in the Jamaican evening however, leaving Australia reeling at six wickets down with the lead of under 200 when stumps were called on day two..

@mominsaigol @heddie19 @gazza619 I expected Head to at least score away from home against West Indies but looks like he cannot score against even Nepal away from home. Terrible from a top player. Green is more valuable batter than Head away from pattas in Sydney and Adelaide.

Just watched a clip of Alzarri Joseph setting up Steve Smith last night.

Bowled genuinely quick at around 145kph, troubling Smith repeatedly with short deliveries and hitting the top of the bat. Smith became tentative with his footwork and got bowler by a fuller delivery.

With Roach pensioned off, it's important he steps up as the senior pacer in this attack. It's criminal his Test bowling avg is above 30 given how seam friendly home pitches are.

His record away from home is quite poor

I think that's an unrealistic expectation from a proper all-rounder like Green, who you would want to deliver with the ball too when he's fully fit. I don't think he should be batting any higher than 5.

That's unplayable. Great bouncer from Alzarri to dismiss Cummins.

Even on Day 3 this pitch has good pace and carry.

I see what you are saying, mate, but he himself has said that no.4 is his preferred position, so they are trying to shoehorn him at 3 atm.
I think at the end of the day it's about what benefits the team most. He's a young player full of energy so naturally he would want to bat high. But the team management should be the ones deciding how they can get the most out of the players.

I will say though, he has the potential to be an outstanding batsman.

Alzarri has 5-fer. Brilliant spell. WI need 204 to win.

Now let the clown show begin. Can these guys muster 50 at least.

I have mixed feelings about this series. It's great to see fast bowlers charging in on spicy pitches but this has been an awful series overall. If West Indies can somehow squeeze a win out of this then it will redeem the series a bit.

Agreed, mate. I think the hope amongst the Australian cricket fraternity is that he turns into a Shane Watson regen for us.

Looks like an impossible chase for WI and they've already lost their first wicket.

Ridiculously good start from Starc.

Didn't even need a few balls to find his line and length.

India are having a terrible summer. LMAO.

First, they lost a war to Pakistan (lost 6-7 jets and 250 soldiers). Getting smashed by England now. Before that, they lost 0-3 to NZ and 1-3 to Australia. Now they are seeing Australia win 3-0.

:qdkcheeky
Indian trolls aside i dont hate team India. I am neutral lol.

The issue is if I say anything in a negative light they get mad.

For example it is a fact that Sachin averages 22.22 vs Mcgrath. In the 90's you could argue Sachin at best could maybe hold off long enough to muster a respectable 27-30 total vs Mcgrath

But in the 2000's it was comical. Sachin Averages 5 against mcgrath post 2000's deapite playing many games. Its a shame social media wasnt prominent in that era, otherwise sachin would turned into a meme.

But indians just cant handle this fact. They think being a pioneer of longetivity and consistency equates to being similar to Bradman.

To this day I dont get the media espncricinfo articles of sachin vs mcgrath being the greatest rivalry of all time. What rivalry? Sachin was a total 🤡 against Mcgrath? Their rivalry is non existent 🤣🤣🤣.

Sachin got neutralised by every good bowler in his ers except Warne who he played extremely well. Bradman only got neutralised by Larwood in one series, But thats cause unlike other bowlers who were using bodyline

Larwood was throwing 100mph javelins into Bradman's face and body which is why Larwood was banned first. Larwood was a 120-130KPH bowler but his 158 KPH baseball bazookas are too much to handle for anyone. Even then Bradman managed to Avg 40 against him lol and overall 56 in that series.

West Indies - 5/4.

What's going on? LOL. This is like video game cricket.

I remember I once bowled out a team in EA Sports Cricket 1999 for 0 (they lost 10 wickets in 10 balls). :yk

This is something out of a video game.

400 wickets for Starc. He'll surpass Wasim by the end of the year bar injury. What a bowler he's been.

Lowest Test score of all time is 26 by NZ in 1955.

That record is in serious danger.
