What's new

Australia v India | 3rd ODI | Canberra | 2 December | Match Discussion

Doesn’t have that 4th gear, I reckon.
He had it but he is now totally past those heady days of his earlier years.

He'll still score runs as he is so good but not at the rate he used to do earlier.

He's the one who would usually lay a foundation for India.

He scores 100s for fun against Aus.

He wouldn't have made much of a difference here. The gap between the two teams in these conditions is huge.

I checked it .Nowadays there are plenty of cricket between big 3 .Can you provide link for aus vs England odi series in aus

Search for England vs Australia ODI series January 2018. Australia's batting was at full strength but they rotated their bowlers a bit. However Cummins, Hazlewood, Starc all featured at some point and all 3 played some games in the series. England won 4-1

There is one player missing in each match except 3rd odi but they were almost full strength.

Was hoping Abbott would have gained some pace in his years out of the team, but he's still in the low to mid 130s, disappointing. Brilliant fielding by Green

Australia is very tough to beat at home but this has been an embarrassing mismatch. Agree that India doesn't have Rohit and Bhuvi, but when will the rest step up? When will the likes of Rahul, Agarwal, and Iyer play career defining innings?

They save it all for the IPL

Seems like they have struggled in odi without key players. Need to improve alot. Rahul Mayank and Iyer aren't good enough at the moment to win in Australia in odi format.

Stick to this series only

Don't post nonsense and expect to be allowed to post on Pakpassion

Bro, this dependency on key players has led to the downfall of the Indian team. And in batting we are not even missing a lot of key players - just Sharma.

But but...India would have scored 500 if they won the toss in the first 2 games

Hazelwood is greater than wasim in Aussie pitches. His bounce helps. He is a bouncy bully. One dimensional twit can't do squat in Asia though.

Just curious , is the Babar vs Rahul thread still alive? I watched the whole series to see that "extra gear"

Agar, Abbot, Maxwell, Green.
With Maxwell opening the bowling for Australia on this flat pitch after losing the toss.
India should be doing better vs Australia C.
They can still fight back.

Aussies missing the trick here. They need one wicket and they could restrict india to below 270

India have a good chance if they get to 270 here and bowl well , pitch will help spin here

India need to stay on the ball. The match is very much in the balance if Australia lose early wickets or struggle against spin.

Chasing has its own pressure.

Pakistanis' celebrations are a bit premature

No one is celebrating but Australia batting first on this track would have made 350+

You can bowl Zampa all day, he will bowl a long hop every 7-8 balls

Because no Rohit baccha. Rohit is key. We suck without Rohit. Bhuvi along with Shami and bumrah are our main bowlers.

So just because Rohit Sharma isn,'t playing you can't score big against Abbott, Zampa, Agar, Maxwell, Green?

Why can't you just accept that it isn't easy scoring 370's, 390's everyday and Smith/Maxwell batted brilliantly in the first 2 matches to achieve it?

Is it me or Australia are treating this more like a Sunday XI friendly?

This is what it looks like, especially when they borught back Maxwell to bowl two and now they are bringing Henriques in the 44th overs, Bowling Abbott even if he is going for runs.

Fake allrounder jadeja is doing what he is known for.
This series has fully exposed his fielding the only thing he was good at. He's neither a decent bowler nor a decent lower order batsman.

can never forget his sword dance vs NZ in the semi final. Even though, the match was far from over.
