A bit off with your numbers there - it's 6/7 and not 7/8.
I think what he meant is with clarke stuffed we are basically 7 down in this dig and already 1 down in the next dig.

India actually on top in my book.
Batting friendly conditions and Aus are effectively 354/7 (possibly even 8 if Clarke is too hurt to play in the 2nd). Australia have to be really worried about what happens if David Warner doesn't score. The rest doesn't look particularly great at the moment.
If the batsmen are alright India have every chance.

It's shocking how Haddin keeps getting into the team with his pathetic batting. Australia really needs to find a better wicket keeper batsman.
Clarke could bat in the second innings.
It's a back spasm- he has these because his back is like that.
It's not a hamstring tear or anything. He could well wake up tomorrow and be feeling perfectly fine.
How reliable is the news that it's a spasm? I've had spasms and yes you can get over them quickly. I didn't know if he had done some further damage.
Degenerative disks, the pads that cushion his lumbar spine are getting smaller and more brittle by the day, and causes all sorts of hamstring tightness, nerve pain, sciatica. All sorts of really debilitating issues. He has been battling with it all his career, and frankly i'm surprised he has lasted this long.
It's going to be very tough from here.
I hadn't actually seen anybody report it as just a spasm, be nice if it was.
Most of the papers are reporting it as clarke's while summer now being in serious doubt.
Amazing with how bad he is that before the summer he wasn't asked (or forced) to choose between tests and the WC, seems like fantasy land stuff him playing all the tests and then the WC right after.
The track is FLAT .... so the Indians should know how to survive on it. They probably will. But this is a game of Crocket ..... anything can happen. Their batting lineup is not as formidable as it was with the Fab Four. Soooo ... all advantage to Australia. Should be a good contest .... for me though 65/35 Australia !!!!
Bad news for IndiaClarke is batting again apparently
Clarke is batting again apparently
Will we get to see the Indian rockstars batting today ??

Any Update when the play likely to resume? Has rain stopped?
This is not good. Rain might save Indian ftbs here.![]()
Have you ever posted anything worth reading on this forum ?
Your pain brings us great joy![]()
Do I sound like a person in pain to you ? I'm just enjoying your misery)
with 4 bowlers opp. post mammoth total 0ver 500 every time..... then we shd include 11 batsman so there would be chance of drawing the match atleast .... if not win.... no body want to watch indian bowling....bec it is not even club level
This will be a draw![]()
Could really be a tactic. Get Ashwin in for Karan and Bhuveshnar for Varun. Then you can also replace Shami with a bowling all-rounder and that is a very deep batting lineup.
all full batsman can only draw
Even if aussies bowl for only a couple of sessions now they can beat us
