A couple of gifts from umpires will be perfect here. We desrve it. :sanga

If we get another wicket, will Haddin send in a nightwatchman to protect himself again?

Waiting for Smith to have a lapse of concentration against Ashwin hopefully Dhoni doesn't have it at the same moment.

If Dhoni wants to continue with short stuff, then Aaron will be a better option.

We're in a bit of strife here I think. We have a bit of a longish tail this time and Hadds out of form. One more wicket and it's going to be a bit tough.

Aaron has done decent here sadly he is wicketless and Umesh has been rewarded

The rate at which both teams have scored has ruled out a draw here. If India can manage a 50 run lead, they would be clear favourites.

India should win this one easy , australia dont have the batting prowess and Indian batsmen are playing really really well.

India are favorites unless we get a lead ourselves

Never declare India as favs until they actually win it, when they play away. Too passengers in this team, and this team is capable of snatching a defeat from the jaws of victory.

Looks to be bowling a fair bit slower than last year and more importantly with no real aggression.

I think Hughes death has shaken him.He looked scared out when Kohli was hit in last Test.

Hopefully he'll back to his fiery best soon(after this series) :mj

That's a shame , he was bowling pretty fast in UAE.

He probably is not straining himself too much because of the upcoming worldcup.

I think Saurav might be on the mark.

I think he'll be better in time when he sees a few guys get hit and get up like normal

Bowling pretty much the same pace in UAE too. Hasn't looked himself ever since the South African series.

Draw or Ozzie win- no ways India's winning this game with our bowling and long tail...

What the hell is Rohit is doing out there in test white's- he aint even fit to be a waterboy!

We have to pray for 2 things:

1. Rohit fails in the second innings. Or else we will be stuck with him.
2. We won't have to need Rohit's runs in the second innings.

Steve Smith is the key. If we can snare him, we can do something.

I am fairly confident of 1st happening, can't see the 2nd happening though.Smith is looking very good :(

Rohit needs to be out KL Rahul hopefully is not gone only for Tourism purpose i really expected him to make it for this match,Talent crap should really be stopped.I think we can stick with these bowlers.

If even us fans can see what is good for the team, then why do these qualified selectors act retarded?

The Mumbai:Delhi ratio has to be maintained somehow we have Chennai too making the cut nowadays but both have performed nicely this time.

Becuase you dont make a living from vested interests- because it is a corrupt country with a corrupt board and corrupt system.

I don't let Maxwell's LOI stuff fool me but may be i guess i see Bailey playing so slow wondering if he is better than Rogers apparently not is the mood.

George Bailey doesn't know where his offstump is. In a Test match where you have to bat with a slip cordon behind you he's a huge risk.

What is the use of Rohit Sharma in the Indian team?Ashwin scored 35 runs and he is better bowler than Rohit, so not sure what purpose Rohit provides in the middle order. I would prefer even KL Rahul batting in the middle order.

if india cant keep australia under 350 there is a risk that they will lose this match if australia get to 400 australia will fancy their chances

Match was India's to lose and looks like they are on course. However, I was mighty pleased with the bowling yesterday. Everyone bowled well. Smith is in the zone these days and may score a big one. A lead of even 100 can be a big difference either ways.

I expect zilch from our bowlers anyway. I'll be surprised if we dont conceed a lead of 80-120

Not much of a crowd and yet people cry out for 2 tiers lol

Smith is a talent. Better than Williamson for sure.

Do you ever talk about anything but the crowd Energetic?

Predicted India will fold for 400 yesterday on the match thread, and that is exactly what happened.I reckon Australia will make maximum 360

Australia vs India | 2nd Test | Day 3 | Brisbane | December 17th-21st

India on top.

Can Australia fight back?

smith is key wicket....if we can get him early thn minimum lead of 80 runs possible....if australia go on and level the score then its 50-50 chance for both team ....if australia can get lead around 100 then defenetly aus ll win....

Can't wait to see our pace attack in action this morning. It was so riveting seeing our fast men put fear into the eyes of the Aussies specially Marsh and Rogers #BleedBlue #WeGotThis #Believe

The Aussies are risking Mitchel Marsh by playing him here. They should pull him out this game to preserve his future otherwise they might have another Clarke at hand.

Steve Smith looks anything but a traditional Aussie captain. He might bat well but he will take the bite off the Aussie team by his laid back carefree attitude.

Can any poster tell me how fast Josh Hazlewood is? Heard he used to be tearaway, but looking at Cricinfo commentary he seems to be mid 80mph...

Throwing their wickets away carelessly on Day 2 by Rahane and No_Hit Sharma cost India around 100-150 runs and I believe this will cost India the match....
