Can the Cornered Tigers outcome the Australians?

Toss in 5 minutes, game 35!

Watching Wahab Riaz and Shahid Afridi warming up bowling... Great atmosphere

InshAllah, Pakistan will win this. I have a good feeling about this game. Need to come out aggressive like we did against SA!!

Really looking forward to this one. Think it will be the closest of all the 1/4 finals. Good luck guys!

PAKISTAN BATTING BRRRUAAHH OH SCENE KHATAM HOGAYA

Pakistan need just 250 they shouldn't aim 300... 250 will be enough, bowling at night will be little bit more swing with pressure of QF... come on Pakistan... hate Ganguly and Manjeraker...

I don't understand. Why are we batting first on a grassy pitch? We should have bowled first and looked to get them out under 200.

We should aim for 280 thats perfect for this pitch

Don't know if batting first was the right choice today. Adelaide usually doesn't carry this much grass, so who knows, we may face some trouble.

Although from Clarke's comments, he wanted to bat first too.

I have a question for everyone. Was it right to bat first on this pitch?

1.20pm The pitch has a bit of grass. Sourav Ganguly says he has never seen so much grass on a one-day pitch at Adelaide Oval. Damien Fleming brings up a key significance: it should negate the reverse swing that Pakistan have been good with in this World Cup. When asked if Australia have had any say in the pitch, Shane Warne says the only team he remembers asking for a certain kind of pitch in his playing days, the Australian groundsman told him his job was to play not to interfere with pitch. "In 20 years of my cricket, we have never asked for a pitch, because we knew they would do the direct opposite if we interfered."

This is ridiculous. Obviously clarke interfered with the pitch. It was crystal clear on cricinfo report. I hope it backfires on them.

We have no chance while chasing any target that too on a green track and against starc and co

indian commentators are always so biased against Pakistan. Particularly manjrekar he had the audacity to suggest ireland game will be competitive...and now ganguly trying to scare Pakistani batsman by saying more grass e.t.c.

I think that's a better choice. Fresh pitch is always harder, so the bowl should come to the bat nicely initially. It will get progressively harder to bat as the pitch wears out, plus more swing under the lights.

I also think 250 may be competitive here. We need to bat conservatively here.

Great toss to win IMO. Target 250 and choke Australia

i hope aus hacks collapse badly, we just have to get top 4, after clark they are all hacks. interfering with pitch clearly, modifying what was there in previous wc games, they need to suffer.

Batting paradise. Everyone has been fooled with the news about grass earlier. This grass won't do anything.

so 250 is everybody saying i guess even 220-230 will put pressure on chasing team :)

Don't worry guys, Just score 250 somehow or 230 atleast. The ball will swing even more under lights. There is grass on pitch, so it will make it even more difficult for Australian Batsman. You have Ehsan Adil, Rahat, Sohail , who can swing the ball, then wahab for raw pace.

250??

Or should we go for more??

I think 270-280 should be the target.

target 250, but if got 5 wickets in hand in last 7-8 overs, go crazy and try 12/over and get as many as you can, maybe even 290.
but dont aim for more than 250 to begin

The pitch interference could backfire for him. That's what he is worried about.
Grass, under lights, chasing.

I have seen Clarke going down in pressure situation let see if it happens today his captaincy on field will show it

Umm ireland beat you in a wc match years ago and they have been competitive in this series so there is nothing wrong with that. And ganguly only highlighted the obvious the pitch looks like it has so much grass on it a cow can have a buffet feed for a whole day. Ffs stop crying foul and back your boys

Rula do Aussies ko...

Never ever i have seen Misbah so positive...

Come on Guys show them what you can do

must make 280-300 to stand a chance then defend viciously I have a feeling game can be over quick if reports of green top is true

We need 320 at least. Make 50-60 in PP and keep the attack on! :noori

One thing that should be drilled down in our batsmen is not to panic if a few wickets fall early.
