I am going to take a looooong sunday morning shower now! When I come back we will be 100/4 InshaAllah.

You're going to take a shower for 38 overs?

got up at 7.30

saw oz were batting and was 90% sure we would lose before we had faced a ball

i wouldn't trust us to chase 99

we get the jitters

yes oz have bowled well but we seen incapable taking a single, rotating the strike to upset the bowlers rythm, particularly considering we have a lhb rhb openers

Jr. hasn't crossed fifty in the last 7 innings he has played...hype is over...should be sent back to domestic circuit along with his useless brother...

was that your prediction? why don't you sleep and read the score in the paper, why bother watching?
if you know what you're going to have for dinner, why have it? just stare at if for a sec, should be enough

They should just attack.

No point in defending, that's just gonna sicken things.

don't know it's time for that yet. However, hype is over. Hopefully next time something goes wrong with Kamran, he won't make the management hostage

Tony Greig is an absolute c*nt. "ohh now its not just peter siddle that knows how to get umar akmal out no....word gets round AND THE WHOLE WORLD, THE WHOLEEEEEE WOrLD NOW KNOWS" SO ANTI PAK unbelievable. ****.

This Umar Akmal kid has gotten overconfident, and getting out to the silliest shots

To be honest, if Malik makes 60 off 150 balls and pakistan 200 all out, whats the purpose of that knock ??

Games like these (in Pakistan's case every game) serve's to toughen your resolve, so you should appreciate our players. Can you imagine the Aussie supporters response after a loss like this? i can and i tell you its not gonna be very pleasant because they have no prior experience of a loss like this:P

umar akmal for alam in the next match or will it over ruled by akmal senior?

Well you can't complain that Pakistan haven't won anything yet on the tou, Moyo single handily won couple of Tosses :moyo
Stop Complaining :bash:

I totally agree with you plus cocky and manupilating
He'll calm down after he sees his prestigious 50 average slipping.

Definitely should not be dropped or anything. Just needs a good talk.

Malik in a shell mode.. At least yousaf takes a single off the first ball of the over

there was no pressure on us the momentum was with us salman butt allowed them to put pressure by unnecessary tuk tuk

yes, he has talent. But I think success has gone thru his head.

With this crew, even Imran Khan, Mike Brearly and Clive Lloyd combined couldn't win against a club side...

Younis had similar results with this lot in Lanka and against Kiwis...

Well nothing much to say, disappointing Akmal brother and let see If Pakistan can bat like Australian did in the first ODI (I don't think there is any chance). Even though Pakistani side is very good but they are under a lot of psychological pressure and they need to clear they head and play as professional (that would be the day). Political situation is not helping it either. To make the situation worse, during the Australian series, Pakistan cricket board announces that Mohammad Yousaf is not going to be a captain. I will pray for the future of Pakistan's cricket and hope their future doesn't fade away into the darkness like our political future. Only prayers are not going to any good someone has to something about it to save Pakistan from evil leadership.

I thought our # 3 was the saviour, what happened to him?

I think more than anything its just the intimidation factor that is keeping us from responding to the situation.

The stats have not helped the team before this tour. Not a test win since 95, not an ODI series win since 1996 in Aussi( exclude Super-challenge)...

Its more to do with coping with pressure than anything. We just become really nervous when we're dealing with totals to chase, whether big( 250 and above) or low( 176 in the test match). This leads us to become impatient and start playing our strokes fluently without corresponding to the situaiton, in hopes that the pressure will hopefully eliminate itself rather than dealing with the pressure.

Unfortunately, not once has the flashy/aggressive response to a pressure situation worked for us in this series... Some of it is down to being unlucky, but most of it is simply down to not having the temperament to cope with the pressure..

I mean, we used to have atleast a little of that temperament in Inzamam, Younis and even Shoaib Malik.. but all that has vanished. Just look at Moyo's shot when he got out to Hauritz when we were chasing 176. Just plain refusal to acknowledge a pressure situation, and rather rushing through the strokes hoping to the higher entity above to make the pressure and tension go away...

Just doesn't work like that anymore unfortunately. Especially not in Australia.

The key problems are not on the pitch, the opposition, the captain, the selectors, it is in the mind. They are mentally weak and any semblance of rational thinking goes out of the window when a little bit of pressure is put on them.

This is probably due to the first class structure not being a high enough class level. Things come easy on the phatta pitches, and when ever there is some juice in the wkt these guys dont know how to handle it.

They will be very good at being prisoners of war, they'll blab everything within the first 5 mins.

if he faces 150 balls then we will not be all out

To be fair, I don't think we've done too much wrong with the bat today, besides that ridiculous run out.

Siddle and Bollinger bowled superbly. Absolutely superbly. One of the best new-ball bowling displays I've seen for a while.

8/2 in the last 5 overs.

Its all or nothing fifth gear or neutral, rotate the strike you so called professionals.

Just the Akmal brothers? Not Butt and YK and Malik (who as I write is 1 off 17 balls)?

All our batsmen except U. Akmal and Yousuf are really poor at rotating the strike and placing the ball to take singles especially if the field is up. This is why Malik cannot score right now.

That's cause Akmal Jr. was supposed to be the greatest Pakistani batsman of all time...

Other are always getting the stick from the posters...but Akmals in particular Jr. was infallible...
