I think Ponting is ready to bowl if they win the toss. The stretching and preparation hint that.

Yeah I hear ya, who knows maybe if there was a big hyped up match like the Ind/Pak match of 03 during my time in the US, I prolly wouldve been a cricket follower long time ago.... NFL still the top dawg for me...

The rope soaks up the surface moisture from the grass.

The underlying drainage at Australian grounds is very good so the main concern is always surface moisture and the bowler's run ups.

So no Aamer eh? The curse of touring Australia strikes yet again. Just once I would like to see a full strength touring side. Oh hang on, that was South Africa tour :))

And we get to see Hughes, one thing for certain it will be more entertaining than Katich batting. All the short ball talk obscures how good his record is.

:umarakmal is a much better batsmen than :malik
 
The playing sessions, 2:00pm to 3:40pm, tea is from 3:40pm to 4:00pm and the final session from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
 
1:30pm: Time for the toss,

1:25pm: Toss coming up in five minutes at 1:30pm, great news and play will start at 2:00pm. The playing sessions, 2:00pm to 3:40pm, tea is from 3:40pm to 4:00pm and the final session from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

OK, I think we might have done the same thing. Waqar was hinting this is a bowl-first pitch.

Lot of time to show the toss. Channels do that. If you were just following it there you will see it as it just happened

MoYo saying good toss to lose. Kaneria, Gul and Sami in for Ajmal, Rauf and Aamer. rest same
