that is why i always say...look for class not form.

and wahab riaz will always be a pathetic bowler...because he does not have class. he is simply uselss. no swing, does not know his run up after 7 years. in every match, he gets warning for running over the pitch.

you need to figure out quickly and make a call on talent. dont rush too fast and give them good 5-10 test matches but then make a call. no point in wasting time thinking they will somehow learn and will become great. it aint gonna happen

Toss is crucial indeed, but it's least critical in AUS as long as you are playing good cricket. Either way, PAK will need to bat really well in 1st innings.
 
Wahab is bowling awfully short.

Line is ok but the length is rubbish and too easy for Aussies to negotiate.

this is how misbah thinks

warner is an extremely dangerous player and likes to score fast

if you tighten his run scoring ability, he gets frustrated and may throw his wicket away

so bowl defensively on leg side and bore warner and you may get wicket

i am not endorsing misbah tactic but trying to explain the logic what misbah is thinking,
 
Misbah shouldn't be worried about runs leaking or containment.

Aussies are too far behind.
 
misbah is acting pretty idiotic....very defensive with yasir

this will become a black spot on misbah career if he does not change his tactics and keep on using yasir defensively throughout the series
 
Don't get this from Misbah. So many runs on the board. We made the same mistake at the gabba. Don't get this at all
 
How can you be so dumb misbah? Just how, even the most dumb cricket fans know that yasir should bowl off stump or outside off stump line with 5 fielders on off side but only you the genius can't see this. And on the other hand wahab keep proving how useless he is.

he is useless. no brain, no talent, no class, no consistency

and he gets so many test matches for so many years.....

i wud have kicked him out many years ago

another no ball. does not even know his run up. lands wrong as well

Yeah Wahab is very inconsistent! But the thing is every now and then he bowls well and no one wants him dropped. Last match he scored that 30 odd, Picked up a 5fer against WI, Bowled an amazing reverse swing spell against Eng in Eng.

He has been rubbish other than that. Misbah should be dropped and a batting all-rounder should debut. Then we should find a good young test bowler. (Preferably Mir Hamza)

things have reached to point where yasir shd stand up to misbah and refuse to bowl on leg

misbah deliberately destroying and playing with his career. how come yasir bowling without a silly mid off
 
Weird to see so defensive field for Yasir with so many runs to play with.

Misbah only knows how to stifle the opposition to defeat.

He doesn't understand that he has to bowl Australia out twice in two days to win.

He is not inconsistent at all. He is consistently average to poor, and then, every four Tests, he does something that looks a lot better than it is. How many wickets did he take in that amazing England spell?
 
One thing you have to admire is Aussie scoring rate.

They are 450 adrift but they still score nearly 3.7 an over.
 
Bad luck that so many good balls missed the edge. The kookaburra loses its potency over time so that's probably the chance gone now for Pakistan. Draw is looming.

He is extremely inconsistent he was unlucky in that 1st Test against England. Obviously though he needs to be dropped, much better options then him. Like I mentioned We need one of Amad Butt/ Junaid Khan/ Mir Hamza in place of him.
 
Why don't you just put 8 men on the leg side boundary and ask him to bowl 2 stumps outside leg

This. Selectors need to get their heads out of the sand, otherwise even in 10 years time we'll be talking about what great potential Wahab has
 
never rated misbah AS captain to defensive. But good at management. The coach should give misbah some sense

if aussies score fast and score 450-500 quickly , we will not survive 50 overs in the 2nd innings

our bowling is so ordinary....aussies scoring so fast. we somehow need to contain them if we cannot get wickets
 
Easily played by khawaja. Awful field from Misbah. Big total but men back on the boundary. This is frustrating, crazy stuff

Idiotic cricket by Pakistan. At least string together a few dots and stop the runscoring. What's with this defensive mindset and field placings?

'extremely inconsistently (good)' = consistently not good
