50 to Punter, Danish isn't the ideal man for this situation, run saving was never his strong suit.

Ponting to get MOM anyway but imagine if he makes a 100 here, he'll have 300+ runs in the game - more than Pakistan's 1st innings total. :)))

if he gets a hundred he will get closer to Tendu's century mark too:) Indian may not like that
 
Aamer needs to learn how to bowl more consistantly, a 4 ball given every over, average of over 40 and still bowling short with the new ball. This has been a torrid learning curve for him.
 
i guess not too many are watching the match here on pp, they are all waiting for declaration just like our players

he will learn. He is good and has all the potential to be one of the best
 
He has potential but he hasn't improved throughout this series. He bowled much better at Melbourne.
 
Good ol Moyo, he's trying to dry up the runs now. Kaneria bowling miles outside leg to a VERY defensive field.
 
If I were Ponting I'd declare in about half an hour, just before lunch to give Pakistan maybe a trick 2 over period.

You're right but I wouldn't bother with that, still 40 runs away and if Moyo keeps this field then it might take a while.
 
There was definitely and edge. The ball deflected after hitting the toe of the bat and a noise.

What's stopping Ponting from taking the lead to 500 and THEN declaring.

There will still be enough time for Australia to bowl out Pakistan. We can't last for a day and a session batting fourth. We just can't.

That would be a thumping win.

Pakistan have already conceded the fact that Ponting is going to make twin hundreds even though hes 15 away, body language is on the plane back to Pak, theres still batting and an ODI series to come!

In Katichs 100 he ran 28 singles, in this innings Ponting already has 27 singles.

Ponting ran something like 70 singles in his 209.

Butt only took 12 singles in his 102, this is the difference between the batsmen.

Good analysis, Butt needs to improve that aspect and Ponting has given a masterclcass in both innings.
 
Haha we can't even chase 200 batting 4th yet he needs a lead of 400 plus! he must fear our formidable batting line up!! ;-)
 
Punter has always said he's not a stats man, will be interesting to see if he declares straight after the break..

yes butt does hits alot of fours and thats 1 thing i like about him...
