Less than an hour to go to the final day of a gripping test match, no 20-20 or an ODI can match it for drama. Match situation thus far:

S Africa require another 187 with 7 wkts remaining.
Kallis 33*, AB de Villiers 11*

The Kallis/De Villiers partnership is the key as Duminy is in his début match and the S African tail isn't as strong as they used to have in the past.

inshallah Saffers will win and i will be happiest thing alive

The weather is overcast so that might help the aussie bowlers get some swing. Also only 16 overs until the new ball. They need to make them count and try and knock off around 50 runs before it comes if possible.

If either Kallis or De Villiers get out early, it wouldn't be as easy as it looks for South Africa. Duminy has yet to prove himself against a spirited Australian attack when it comes to these situations followed by Boucher who performs on his day.

For Australia, I think Krejza has to be a key factor. He needs to take Warne's spot on these final days and try to bowl some match winning deliveries the great spinner used to.

SA has never lost when G Smith has scored a hundred - Paul Allot on Sky

It was the same thing with Strauss and England...stats are a dangerous thing these days.

But Strauss scored two hundreds so canceling each other

Can some one tell me of a website which is streaming the match ?

Good pitch so far, just the cracks are making it hard for Kallis and AB (who both look very comfortable). Just need to see out the Lee - Johnson spell, and they should be set for a match-winning partnership.

a ball stays low and Haddin misses it too. 4 byes. There is a spot right outside offstump at good length causing this
SA 242-3 - need 172 more to win

the match is perfectly set for saffers to.......................................

..........choke.:)

South Africa chipping away nicely here.

SA need 137 to win, new ball for Australia due in an overs time.

Kallis fifty, very unselfish innings so far (unless he's aiming his 10,000 runs).

Kallis playing less and less like Miss Jacqlein here. I think SA have this game in the bag, but then again they also have the power to lose it any minute.....

Guys if you are in Australia can you tell Younus Khan innings score if it is on? Btw thanks

chocking : getting close to beating

Better than your lot can do in Australia. Rather be chockers than no hopers.

New ball due ...the game will be won or lost in the next 10 overs one feels. I hope de villiers plays some attacking shots against the new ball and S.a don't go into their shell and become easy wickets an expose the middle and lower order.

You just got your wish. AB with a beautiful cover drive.

and an upper cut, one away from his fifty. very positive partnership thus far.

Yeah. Johnson on now...is he the key ? A wicket will put it in the balance. S.A just have the edge for the moment. .....get it under a 100 without a wicket and the pressure is all on australia.

south africa is gonna lose this if either of kallis of de villiers gets out. duminy and boucher to follow , none of them are worrth anything with the bat. yea boucher has had his moments but how dependable is he really?

This is exactly the type of situation in which you'd back Boucher. Dumminy is an excellent player ....don't judge him by one innings.

And morkel and harris aren't the worst bastman. They've both got test fifties ..(I'm not 100% sure about morkel..but a few first class ones anyway).

But yes...one of these two needs to go on and get a big score.

Kallis now averages above 40 overall against Australia...another element of doubt should now be removed regarding his legacy.

Crowd's built up nicely for the conclusion. Hoping for a miracle, just as SA did last evening

Last 50 runs of 67 balls.

5 overs of the new ball down...these two need to last out another 10 and the fat lady can start to sing.

Kallis gone. Cmon Saffers, you cannot choke now :)

Kallis goes....Australia get a crucial wicket at just the right moment. Game once again in the balance.

Don't start that. If they lose they've done very well to get into this position after liosing 5 wickets for 7 runs in the first innings.

Vital moment for Australia.. more specifically Johnson. He needs to use the new ball with all his talent.

25 or so minutes till lunch. JP and AB need to survive till then at least.

Awkward moment for Duminy trying to play a pull shot, mis-times it completely and hits him on the shoulder.

Yaar, you dont know how much I want the Saffers to beat these Aussies. I didnt even mean it in jest, I NEED THEM TO WIN !
:afridi

105 runs needed, 6 wickets in hand, more than enough overs remaining.

Nice shot on drive from De Villiers, 9 taken off this over!

98 to win.

Krejza finally comes on to bowl why did punter brought him now where he only has to bowl one over?

Krejza getting appreciable bounce and turn here.

ohh i have heard of that area...I am in Brampton (If you havent heard of it then you have probably of Mississauga did you?)

Man..this match is lying at the "I can't watch" stage. Every wicket i get up and try and do something else for a moment....but force myself to come back to the computer every 2 minutes.

The lunch break is killing me. As long as AB survives, the game is won for South Africa.
