He has been inconsistent with the amount of matches he has played and that doesn't include injuries to arrive with conclusion.

I don't understand the statement. What I was saying was that Akhtar has been successful but just has not played as much as he should've due to injury and other off-field issues. Are you trying to say the same?

calm down lads, this wicket was and still is flat, the difference was was s.africas dicipline battin, really both attacks specially the seamers apart from johnson looked poor, morkel was really poor, reminds me of a poormans harmison

yes , but if it offers any swing or seam the saffie bowlers jump all over it.I think even if it offers somthing for the bowlers the aussie attack will still be not very challenging for the S.A batters.

But as others pointed out the skills of the players have very little to do with it when it comes to S.a versus australia. It's psychological and right now as it stands the aussies have all the work to do to catch up on that aspect.

When De villiers was asked today "when did you start to feel you could do it?" he answered " I never felt we couldn't do it" ...which typifies the saffies attitude lately.

Successful, but inconsistent. During in 2005, he did well against England in Pakistan but struggled against India in Pakistan in early 2006. He is not consistent as comparable to Wasim who was the most consistent in everywhere. That's why he is Legend

i agree that aus attack looks average, but for me s. africas attack looks nothin special, steyns good, but ntini and morkel r decent at best

Steyn >>>>> Lee
Morkel = Johnson
Kallis >>>>> Siddle
Clarke will not be totally effective and he is no Mcgrath
Kretza is too one diminensional

Can't agree with that at all Savak.

Take a look at their records. Going by records the S.A attack outmatches the aussie by miles. Anything that doesn't take into account records is just subjective opinion and not valid.

ok lee has 300 test wickets at 29 similar to ntini, steyn like i said is a good en, morkel versus johnson, johnsons record is better, like i said steyns the only stand out s. arican bowler :imran

No..lee averages over 30...similiar to kallis. Ntini is 27..similiar to johnson (except he has over 340 wickets). And steyn averages around 23 and morkel is just finding his feet.

South Africa could also play andre nel (average 27) , hall etc if we wanted to put up those stats. Stats wise S.A are one up on aussie bowlers.

Ntini averages 27.71, while Lee averages 30.44

Main thing is South Africa's top order is in supreme form. Problem will start appearing when Smith loses a bit of form.

lulz at Australia.

Good on SA, even though i only like them because of Amla's immense daari density.
