So if he can bowl without chucking it why does he chuck it then?

Because he gets more spin on the ball that way.

Whatever he does, he's a freak of nature and chuck or no chuck, they're isn't anyone who could truly master the craft he's displayed. He's been through a lot of crap, by no fault of his own but the poor administrators around him. He's now the leading wicket taker of all time. I can't help but like the guy.

Did you actually read that report? Get atleast as far as the introduction before posting rubbish.

You of course are aware that the expert commenting on Murali's "intensity" and "best deliveries" happens to be a former coach of Murali who has continuously defended him in the media?

And do you want to answer my question or was it too difficult?

So who else should you ask? Darrel Hair? A beer filled Australian spectator from the stands?

And as for your question, I dont care. If a guy can turn it in front of all those cameras, can turn it with a cast on, I'm pretty sure he can bowl in a test match.

Boucher batted 4 times for an average of 30, Johnson batted 5 times for an average of 36. McKenzie batted 6 times for an average of 24.

Johnson would probably bat at 5 or 6 for SA.

Game, set, match, championship.

Forget it not worth continuing this with you.

He wouldn't even make the team. Only rick ponting would....maybe mike hussey if he finds some form would have a chance.

The point is with murali is he has an unfair advantage that stems from him....not try grasp this....throwing the ball ! He should have been forced to adapt to not abuse his advantage like eveyone else. But now the precedent has been set...so dont cry wen botha and a few others tweak it a little.

Yeah, I thought about giving up on you after seeing your username, decided to give it a chance. Didnt work out.

So yes, keep on believing that Murali chucks, the officials changed the rules only for him to bowl, its all a big conspiracy, the tests done on him are all rubbish, etc, etc.

Congratulations.

They were rubbish. He throws the ball with like a 90 degree angle. Forget 15%. Defending him is absurd.

Anyway , back to the cricket. Steady start from S.A should see them chase this down with their middle order nudgers. Aussie pick up a quick few quick wickets and it's going to be a huge struggle.

Well considering Johnson outscored, had higher average, had higher strike rate and scored more boundries than six SA players in the test series he probably would make the team as a batsman never mind his bowling.

We need to get Duminy out for a low score for a change. But we have potentially 30 overs to be bowled by Tait, Hopes and Horrorwitz which doesn't really fill me with confidence.

Personally, I think the Saffer spinner has a much higher degree of chucking than Murali. Murali has a retarded arm, much alike Akhtar.

Murali does not have a retarded arm, he could not have bowled with a brace that kept his arm straight if it could not straighten.

Saffer, where the hell is Andre Nel? The guy was a beast :afridi

I miss him too. I used to hate him , but I think he deserves to be in the squad with his record and big heart. Politics I suppose....or if one is generous they're looking to the future with the youngsters.

Tait is looking a bit better in his run up, coming in with some purpose and maintaining his speed.

All of the second over was above 148kph.

Gibbs just hit a 148.7kph delivery back over Tait's head for 4. Wow talent. If he only had a brain.

Do you prefer Amla for ODIs ? Really good in Tests, but someone more aggressive in ODIs would do a better job.

I said before when nobody rated him. He was finding his way in tests. The guy is a strokemaker and can score quickly. Now he's settled he'll start to express himself and you'll see what a classy batter and fluent scorer he can be.

Between gibbs and tait there's the intellectual muscle of a reptile.

Yea, a good stroke maker he is. I haven't watched much of him in ODIs. But he has impresses me in Tests so far.

Tait's average speed in that 3 over spell was 149.5kph

Some really good signs, kept the pace up, swung the ball, should have had at least 2 wickets and didn't spray it.

Run Outs are the worst form of dismissal. Even worse than hit wickets. Really dislike watching them happen.

Last ball from bracken clocked 136.3 kph.. and some posters here like to call him a spinner. Hes a very handy bowler.

Amazing 6 by Gibbs

More than just handy. He is the most difficult bowler to score off in ODI cricket. I love the guy.

and another 4 by gibbs...hes lookinh his old self today (the good old self I mean).

:))) Gibsy in dangerous mood. Another boundary off the last ball of the over by Johnson. 14 runs off that over by Johnson.

Australia got what looks a par total on here. S.A should chase this down.

Gibbs is gr8 to watch in full flow even though hes a prat of the field!

13.3 Tait to Gibbs, FOUR, great shot from Gibbs, shimmying down and driving all along the grass, past extra cover, who only has to go and retrieve the ball from the ropes :))

Good to see Tait still up at 148kph.

Not much we can really do about Gibbs though, he is a freak. When he is on he is on.

Would have been good if we had not dropped him in the first over.

I question whether Cricindia's commentator knows anything about cricket - called it a poor over. Was actually a pretty good over, just the batsman was better.
