I wish Brett Lee was at the crease when the streaker came, then Symonds would be justfied in tackling that naked dude… he can say he was protecting the back--side of his mate :)))

Hopes has improved a lot in the last few months.

I don't think Symo and Hayden will repeat the mistakes of the 1st final so IND must be careful here
 
Pathan looks out of sorts ...Hopefully tendu and yuvi can make-up fr PAthan's overs..

Come to think of it, I think symonds shud b awarded for tackling that streaker. i’m so sick of these drunk ******** comin onto the pitch (every match yaar, wtfk!) that more than fines, they shud b jailed. if u can’t handle a drink, then dont drink, idiot! if i was the bowler, i’d borrow a bat & hit the dude with it. smash his balls off!

He bowls around 122-125 kmph but has a very deceptive short ball and good ourswingers.

Aussies finding it difficult to time and place the shots - I think it has something to do with the pitch. Indians too were struggling with the same problem towards the later part of the innings.

This game is a must win for India. If some how aussies pull off this win, It will be a huge confidence booster. They will more likely win the third one as well. Don't let go this opportunity India. Good luck!

Will Symonds serve the same or worse punishment than Afridi involving a spectator, Afridi only waved his bat towards a spectator and got a significant band, Symonds 'man-handled' and rugby tackled a fan who had come onto the pitch...

The punishment or non-punishment on this matter will show if there is underlying issues or not??
 
dhoni shud pbly use the new batsmen to dispense some quick overs frm tendu and yuvi...the less pathan we use..the better.

no way can he be punished mate..

The streaker had no reason to be running on the field...any streaker would think twice of running on the pitch when symo is around..

Afridi threatened a spectator who was sitting where he rightfully should be....

Agree with you but in Afridi's case the spectator wasn't sitting, he was certainly trying to wind Afridi up.
 
Hussey is the dangerman. As long as he is there, Aussies are in with a good chance of pulling this through.

there are always a couple of whack-jobs among the crowd no matter where matches are played..and they'll do their best to provoke players..its upto the cricketers to ignore em...unfortunately afridi has a pretty short fuse..

It can be argued that the spectator in this Symonds incident was only winding Symonds up and he retaliated. Afridi's case was no geniune harm but, intent was there. Symonds case is harm and intent caused to spectator. Simple..

Difference is that in that ground the fans were literally 2 feet away from the players.

yeah but i still think it will be silly to ban or fine him for this. Had symonds punched him or used his bat then it would have been a different story.

Yeah he was selected despite his average 1st class record, i think R Sharma doesn't have a great 1st class record either. Really good to see the Indian selectors taking risks(something which PAK selectors need to learn)

He didnt punch him nor used his bat but, used force to bring down a spectator, aren't cricketers supposed to avoid this type of contact with fans...

Not sure about the rules they have on streakers. If they have any such rule then he should certainly be punished
