They have fallen from grace, but only in Test cricket, as far as ODIs go they are still number 1, but I feel South Africa can beat them.

Agreed. 6-1 over England was an absolute thrashing.

But really though, SAF over AUS in the WC? Just no precedence for that, I'm afraid.

Darrel Hair needs to take a look at Tait's action, he is a much bigger "chucker" than Murali....

It is possible, SA is a classier team and they also come across as good sportsmen, unlike the Aussies. Amla and ADV are in supreme form ATM. A big total, and some class bowling from Steyn could have the Aussies beat.

Majority of 2 decades ?? Dravid,, Laxman, Sehwag, Ganguly all 'scored' runs outside of their habitat unlike players like my main man Samarawerra.....

During 80's and 90's India rarely won anything outside subc. 2000s is our first decade as a major cricketing nation. We'll do better in the next ones. Throwing stones at glass walls is not a bright idea. The world doesn't revolve around batting just because that is the only thing u r good at.

Absolutely. No doubting ability and form. Just the psychological edge that's lacking.

Amla is seriously shaping up to be an absolute legend. And what a great guy.. the way he handled the whole Dean Joan "terrorist" affair was all class.

Bhailog, why all the criticism about HTBs, seems like some people from the subcontinent cannot tolerate other subcontinent teams doing well. Appreciate the fine cricket, SL, India and Pakistan are all good sides, and each have their individual style.

We drew against Australia in Australia, we beat ENG 2-0 in ENG.. Glass walls ?? Take a good look in the mirror....

how?...he slings the bowl!.hed actually be bowling slower if he was jerking

His arm is bent, he slings it, but towards the end his elbow provides and extra bit of pace. I honestly don't think that umpires should be that strict, but given Hair's comments about Murali, he needs to apply that to his own players

Sri Lanka doing a good job of rotating the strike, something Pakistan can learn from when the going is tough....

i wouldnt agree with your analysis...i think his action's fine...what little ''flick'' there is should easily fall under the max limit allowed for fast bowlers....

Express bowlers are a breed on the brink of extinction...players like Tait should be celebrated.

Like I said, I agree, but Murali should be celebrated as well, all I'm saying is that Hair should be consistent and not discriminate.

How was that not a no ball? Lee's foot landed and slid forward, just in front of the line.

I dont really like Tony here, he is supposed to be neutral he is all PRO AUSSIE here...

Shehzad and Hafeez would love to play against such pace. They enjoy playing fast bowling

Australia are impossible to beat in ODIs. SL going to need these two to settle in.

Steyn,Southee,Morkel

Steyn is not an out-an-out pace bowler, in many ways he reminds me of a classical Pakistani bowler, swings the ball both ways, bowls very quick, but not in the manner of someone like Tait, and a very smart bowler. Southee and Morkel are both solid bowlers, but I don't think they are close to as intimidating as Lee or Tait.

agreed there..cant for the life of me see hafeez/akmal surviving the opening burst.

lol didn't Kami and Umar scored half centuries against Australian pace attack which included Tait??Its not only Hafeez or Shehzad ,our most of the batsmen enjoy playing Quality fast bowlers rather medium pacers :baidwan

drifting down the leg side and great touch by Mahela,50 up for SL

Chalo we will see on March 19th....

I think it will come down to Misbah again to help produce a respectable score.

we should be using Akhter the same way Ponting is using Tait...2-3 overs burst max...bowling him for 5,6 overs on the trot isnt sensible IMO

Pointing has that luxury because he has 4 seam bowlers, 2 of which are allrounders. Who will Pakistan bowl? Razzaq and Gul? Razzaq will just take the pressure off....
