Pointing has that luxury because he has 4 seam bowlers, 2 of which are allrounders. Who will Pakistan bowl? Razzaq and Gul? Razzaq will just take the pressure off....

that is why Imran/Akram/Rameez have been suggesting that Wahab is a must...we cant play with 2 seemers...

Yeah, but then you'll either have to sacrifice a spinner or a batsman. I don't think Wahab is good enough to merit such a change.

It's high time the Aussies get a wicket here. Once the frontline bowlers are off, these two will milk the slower bowlers for runs for a good part of the innings without taking many chances and thus laying a good platform for the onslaught. For the OZ, its now or never.

coz it always is :( they're in control of this game, again

they're just too good in the yellows it seems

another easy win for OZ

Not so easy Mate. SL have planned well for this match and gone in with 3 spinners on a pitch that's gonna die further. I guess OZ will be chasing something around 250-260. An early onslaught can see them through. If SL can penetrate into OZ middle order by 15 overs, it'll be difficult for OZ.

are you watching the match?

because the ball is turning like crazy..and with murali, mendis and rangana they will give the aussies a run for their money.

good parternship between sanga and samara. These 2 need to keep going atleast till 40th over if sl are to get a good score.

260 will be defendable

but i think sangakara is playing bit slow .. like he did against pakistan

he need to touch the S.R to atleast 75

Oh my goddddddddddddddddddd htb samarawerra was run out, he didnt ground his bat, kreja didnt appealll damn it damn ittt

just now..samaraweera grounded his bat, the ball hit the stumps and a split second later the bat left the ground again but he can't be given out

Aussies has tremendous pace attack. Great to see Tait bowling with lot of venom and pace.

they may get 1 more crown :-)

What are the world cup rules. Is there a reserve day in case the match is interrupted by rain??

20 overs chase is still a possibility with DL. If they clear things up quickly.

just saw them take off one of many ground covers... maybe a chance of play here...?

u sure about it ?

yep thats how it works.

edit: no i read it wrong.

If youve grounded your bat. but at the time the bails come off your bat is in the air and your body is not inside the line youre out

previously it wasnt like that ... may be the rules have change now .. recently...

Update from CI

6 pm Still the same situation. Still more rain, a bit lighter than before. Still more puddles on the ground. Lightning in the distance. Pretty dull and forlorn pictures. The cut off time is 9.20 pm to get in a minimum of 20 overs in Australia's innings, and the target would be 154 then.

154 in 20 overs, easy win for Aus anyone? :P

Kim: "A back-up ground? Marvelous idea! As soon as it starts raining, pack the teams, and the umpires and the TV and media people, coaching staff etc into helicopters and fly them to the back-up field where it presumably isnt raining. A wonder nobody thought of it earlier." And the crowd?

Why not just build a roof on the stadium and make it a SKy Dome Toronto ?

i enjoying rain :yahoo

now two more world chamion teams will share points between them. :113:

Good for Pakistan.... and Sri Lanka too, my fav teams !
Besides, Sri Lanka would have got a look at the dangerous Aussie bowling attack and can learn from their mistakes.... like Dilshan needlessly getting provoked by Tait and losing his concentration... the best reply a batsman can give is with good batting !

Would have been a great contest as the ball was turning square, anything over 250 might have been really interesting. Shame it rained
