England defeat Sri Lanka by 10 runs in Delhi

Wherever you go outside the UK all the neutrals in the crowd are totally anti-England (if that's not oxymoronic). WC '87 final: Indians shouting for Australia. WC '92 final: Aussies shouting for Pakistan. Something to do with colonial hangovers, perhaps? The Empire was lost seventy years ago, almost nobody in the UK can even remember it.
A colonial hangover is possible but most countries in the commonwealth have moved on. They don't hold any grudges against the English but there are several empire apologists amidst you who think the British Empire was a force for the good in the world and ignore the disastrous effect they had on the locals. But regardless of history, we just like seeing England lose because of their whining in the media and administration. We saw that in the Ashes last year when the English commentators would go on and on about Anderson and Broad and at one point even shushed Warne when he said Australia has a chance. Sadly this is seeping into the Indian and Australian coverage as well (the national bias in coverage).
