Ayodhya Ram Mandir: India PM Modi inaugurates Hindu temple on razed Babri mosque site [Update in post#488]

"Ayodhya Mosque To Be Of Same Size As Babri Masjid": Trust Formed For Construction

A mosque that will come up in Ayodhya pursuant to the Supreme Court verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi case will be of the same size as Babri Masjid, said an office-brearer of the trust formed for its construction.

The five-acre complex in Ayodhya's Dhannipur village will also house a hospital, a library and a museum among others, the office-bearer said, adding that retired professor and noted food critic Pushpesh Pant will be consultant curator of the museum.

"...the complex of the mosque, which will be built in Dhannipur, will also have facilities like a hospital, a museum at the Indo-Islamic Research Centre. The mosque will be on 15,000 square feet, while the rest of the land will have these facilities," Athar Hussain, the secretary and spokesperson of Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF), told PTI on Saturday.

This is good news. Long live Indian democracy :inti:

Good news, perhaps, as long as a mob doesn’t come around and demolish it with no one being punished for it decades later…

Ayodhya Mosque Project Begins On Jan 26 With Raising Flag, Planting Trees

Lucknow: A tree sapling plantation drive and raising of the national flag will mark the formal beginning of the project to construct a mosque at Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya set to be built following the landmark Supreme Court verdict in the decades-long dispute over its site, officials announced on Saturday.

The Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) trust, which will build the mosque on a five-acre plot away from the site where the 14th-century Babri mosque was demolished by Hindu activists in 1992, said it was planning a ceremony to mark the beginning of the project on January 26 at 8:30 am.

The nine trustees of the foundation held a meeting on Sunday and said they discussed the programme and issues like the delay in getting clearances from the Income Tax Department and those for receiving foreign contributions.

The tree plantation drive has been planned because the project intends to serve the community in the area and create awareness about climate change as a major challenge to humanity, the IICF said in a news release.

"As envisaged in the project, a green area will be developed to have plants from all over the world from Amazon rainforest to areas having bushfires in Australia and from all different geographical regions of India to create awareness for imminent threat of climate change," it said.

The group said it will also apply for getting the construction plan, which includes a hospital, museum, library, community kitchen, Indo-Islamic cultural research centre, a publication house, cleared by the Ayodhya District Board and start the soil testing process.

Last month, the IICF had unveiled the futuristic design of the mosque, incorporating a massive glass dome across a picturesque garden. The hospital building with an elegant design is seen behind the mosque.

The construction of the new mosque was taken up after the Supreme Court of India in November 2019 brought the curtains down on the long-standing religious dispute over the site in Ayodhya, saying it belonged to Lord Ram.

A five-judge constitution bench ruled that a "prominent site" in the same holy town will be allotted for a new mosque, in place of the one unlawfully razed down by Hindu activists, triggering communal violence across India that left thousands dead.

Ram Temple By December 2023, Over 50% Construction Done: Yogi Adityanath

Palampur, Himachal Pradesh:

Construction work of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has crossed the halfway mark and it will be completed by the end of 2023, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said today.

Yogi Adityanath said a resolution for the construction of the temple was first passed by the BJP in Palampur as he campaigned for party candidate Trilok Kapoor in the constituency ahead of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections.

"Today, I am delighted to inform you from this place that the construction work of the Ram temple in Ayodhya has crossed the halfway mark and by the end of 2023, a grand temple will be constructed after a wait of more than 500 years," Yogi Adityanath said addressing a rally in Palampur.

He attributed the construction of the temple, "a historic work" to the decisive and strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister also campaigned for Lokendra Kumar, the BJP candidate from Anni constituency.

Addressing a rally there, he said India's graph on the global stage is rising and today, no problem in the world can be resolved without its involvement. India has become the world's fifth largest economy surpassing Great Britain, he said.

"It was India that gave free ration to crores of poor people across the country during the pandemic while the BJP workers provided them help. Where was brother-sister duo of the Congress then," he said at the rally referring to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

"Congress is only restricted to one family and concerned about them while for Narendra Modi and the BJP, the people of India are their family," he said.

Hailing Himachal Pradesh as the "land of bravehearts" as several youngsters from the state are in the armed forces, Yogi Adityanath said,"You all would be happy to know that today our enemies cannot dare to look at us." And it is so because the bravehearts of the country "conducted surgical strikes inside enemy areas", Yogi Adityanath, who has been campaigning extensively across the hill state, told the gathering.

Yogi Adityanath said all landmark decisions such as construction of the Ram temple, abrogation of Article 370 and surgical strikes, would not have been possible under the Congress rule as it doesn't care for such issues.

Making a pitch for BJP to retain power in the state, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said under the "double engine" government of the party, the state has witnessed all round development.

Noting that both BJP president JP Nadda and Union Minister Anurag Thakur are from Himachal Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath said it shows the importance of the state for the saffron party.

Elections for the 68-member Himachal Pradesh Assembly are scheduled to be held on November 12. The ruling BJP is in a direct fight with the Congress.

PM Modi Leads Rituals At Ram Temple in Ayodhya, RSS Chief By His Side

The consecration ceremony will be celebrated across the country and Indians abroad with special prayers and various programmes at local temples. The occasion has been hailed as a Diwali -- the festivities that marked Lord Ram's homecoming after the battle with Ravan and temples and houses have been strung with festive lighting.

Megastars Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, actor couples Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt, industrialists Sunil Bharti Mittal and Anil Ambani, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and ace shuttler Saina Nehwal are among the many celebrities who have reached Ayodhya for the event.

PM Modi has been observing a series of strict 11-day religious rituals to prepare for the consecration ceremony at noon. He will also address the gathering on the occasion, read a statement from his office.

"The historic Pran Pratishtha ceremony will be attended by representatives of all major spiritual and religious sects of the country. People from all walks of life including representatives of various tribal communities will also attend the ceremony," read the statement.

PM Modi will interact with labourers who have been building the Ram temple. He would also visit Kuber Tila, where the ancient temple of Lord Shiv has been restored, and offer prayers.

The 380x250 feet temple is being built in the traditional north-Indian Nagara style. Its 392 pillars, 44 doors and walls have elaborate carvings of gods and goddesses. The idol of five-year-old Lord Ram has been placed at the sanctum sanctorum. The Kuber Tila stands at the southwestern part of the complex. Near the temple is a well (Sita koop), believed to be dating back to the ancient era.

Various leaders of the BJP and its ideological mentor Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh have already been camping out at Ayodhya, which has prepared to receive over 11,000 visitors. Over the last weeks, the sleepy temple town has had an international airport and a renovated railway station. Hotels, guest houses and homestays have mushroomed, bursting it at the seams and bringing in the long awaited economic boom.

The opening of the Ram temple -- which has been at the heart of a decades-long political storm -- has been cold-shouldered by most Opposition parties including the Congress, Left, Trinamool Congress and the Samajwadi Party, which accused the BJP of gaining political mileage from religion on an election year. The BJP has hit back, censuring all who declined the invite, including the Congress's Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. Calling the parties anti-Hindu, the BJP has declared that they will get their punishment from the people at the hustings.

The event has also drawn other controversies -- including the one that involves the Shankaracharyes of four premier monasteries staying away. The Puri and Joshimath Shankaracharyas have said consecration of an incomplete temple cannot be held. They have also questioned why PM Modi will be inside the sanctum sanctorum when the Shankaracharyas have been allotted seats outside. The event, they have alleged, is being given a political angle.

The building of the temple started after the Supreme Court, in a landmark judgment of 2019, awarded the disputed land for a temple and asked that Muslims be given an alternate plot for a mosque. The matter, which went to court shortly after Independence, had escalated after hundreds of Karsevaks razed a 16th Century mosque on the site, believing it was built over a temple marking the birthplace of Lord Ram.

India's PM Narendra Modi has inaugurated a grand temple to Hindu god Ram in the flashpoint city of Ayodhya.

The temple replaces a 16th-Century mosque razed by Hindu mobs in 1992. The demolition had sparked nationwide riots in which nearly 2,000 people died.

Thousands of invited guests, including top film stars and cricketers, attended the event in Ayodhya.

But some Hindu seers and most of the opposition boycotted it, saying Mr Modi was using it for political gains.

General elections are due in India in the next few months and Mr Modi's political rivals say the governing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be seeking votes in the temple's name in a country where 80% of the population is Hindu.

Critics have also accused the government of going overboard with what is essentially a religious celebration in a country which - according to its constitution - is secular.

The temple has been constructed at a cost of $217m (£170m) - the temple trust says it's been funded from private donations.

PM Modi performs rituals in the temple in Ayodhya
The ceremony, which was televised live, showed Mr Modi performing religious rituals inside the temple's sanctum along with priests and Mohan Bhagwat, head of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) - the ideological fountainhead of Hindu nationalist parties. Only the ground floor of the temple was opened - the rest of the structure is expected to be completed only by the end of the year.

The ceremony, called Pran Pratishtha, which loosely translates from Sanskrit into "establishment of life force", lasted about an hour. Hindus believe that chanting of mantras and a set of rituals performed around a fire will infuse sacred life in an idol or a photograph of a deity.

The temple fulfils a decades-long Hindu nationalist pledge to build a shrine to Lord Ram in Ayodhya - the flashpoint city is getting a major makeover to transform it into a destination for pilgrims and tourists from across the world.

Many Hindus believe that Ayodhya is the birthplace of Ram and the Babri mosque was built by Muslim invaders on the ruins of a Ram temple at the exact spot where the Hindu god was born. The movement to build a temple at the same site was a major factor that propelled the BJP into political prominence in the 1990s.

Temple rises from ruins of one of India’s darkest days
Transforming a flashpoint holy city into the ‘Hindu Vatican’
A protracted legal battle about the ownership of the land followed the mosque's demolition. It was resolved in 2019 when the Supreme Court gave the disputed land to the Hindus. Muslims were given a plot outside the city to build a mosque.

In Ayodhya, some Muslims told the BBC before the event that the day evoked fear and painful memories for them. Some said they would send their children out of the city, fearing tensions might be stoked when the streets filled with Hindu devotees from around the country.

The new three-storey temple - made with pink sandstone and anchored by black granite - stretches across 7.2 acres in a 70-acre complex. A 51-inch (4.25-ft) statue of the deity, specially commissioned for the temple, was unveiled last week. The idol has been placed on a marble pedestal in the sanctum sanctorum.

Pakistan condemns consecration of temple on site of razed Babri mosque in India’s Ayodhya

The Foreign Office (FO) on Monday condemned the construction and consecration of ‘Ram Mandir’ on the site of the demolished Babri Mosque in Ayodhya, saying that the temple “will remain a blot on the face of India’s democracy for the times to come”.

India’s Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the temple that embodies the triumph of his muscular Hindu nationalist politics, galvanising loyalists in an unofficial start to his re-election campaign this year.

Modi, in flowing golden-coloured traditional dress, unveiled the black stone idol of the deity Ram in the heart of the 50-metre temple, built on grounds where a mosque stood for centuries before it was torn down in 1992 by Hindu zealots incited by members of his party.

That demolition triggered the worst religious riots since independence — killing 2,000 people, most of them Muslims — and shook the foundations of India’s officially secular political order.

But for Modi’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the opening of the Ram Mandir temple is a landmark moment in a decades-long campaign to align the country’s governance with its majority faith.

In a statement issued today, the FO said the developments of the last 31 years in India, leading to today’s ceremony, were “indicative of growing majoritarianism in India”.

“These constitute an important facet of the ongoing efforts for social, economic and political marginalisation of the Indian Muslims,” it said.

“A temple built on the site of a demolished mosque will remain a blot on the face of India’s democracy for the times to come. Notably, there is a growing list of mosques, including the Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi and Shahi Eidgah Mosque in Mathura, facing similar threats of desecration and destruction,” the FO highlighted.

It added that the rising tide of ‘Hindutva’ ideology in India posed a “serious threat” to religious harmony and regional peace. “The Chief Ministers of two major Indian states, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, are on record as citing the Babri Mosque’s demolition or inauguration of the ‘Ram Temple’ as the first step towards reclaiming parts of Pakistan,” the FO said.

It called on the international community to take cognisance of the “growing Islamophobia, hate speech and hate crimes” in India, urging the United Nations and other international organisations to play their part in “saving Islamic heritage sites in India from extremist groups” and protect the religious and cultural rights of minorities.

“Pakistan urges the government of India to ensure the safety and security of religious minorities, including Muslims and their holy places,” the FOP statement concluded.

‘Auspicious’ opening

“The Lord has made me an instrument to represent all the people of India,” Modi said ahead of the “auspicious” opening, as he prayed at the feet of the human-sized statue, garlanded in flowers and draped in jewels.

Outside the temple, tens of thousands of chanting and dancing devotees waving flags, honking horns and beating drums, packed the streets of the northern town of Ayodhya, as military helicopters showered flower petals from the sky.

Few members of Ayodhya’s Muslim community were seen joining the jubilant street party, and opposition leaders are reported to have stayed away.

Vijay Kumar, 18, took four days to reach the town after walking and hitchhiking 600 kilometres.

“We just wanted to be here,” Kumar said. “We just wish to see the temple before we leave.”

About 2,500 musicians are performing on over 100 stages for the crowds of pilgrims around the elaborate temple, built at an estimated $240 million that the project’s backers say was sourced from public donations.

The 140 kilometres between the town and Uttar Pradesh state capital Lucknow is a seemingly endless stream of billboards of blue-skinned Ram with bow and arrow — as well as of Modi and the region’s chief minister, the saffron-robed Hindu monk Yogi Adityanath.

“It’s all because of Modi,” said Prem Sharan, 35, a resident of Ayodhya.

“Some critics say that it is being turned into an election-like atmosphere; so be it. At least they are doing what they promised and one needs the power to do things for the people.”

Other attendees jetted into the newly built international airport and will stay at a crop of hotels built to cater to the millions of pilgrims expected to visit each year.

Among the celebrity guests due at the opening were Indian tycoons, former national cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood titan Amitabh Bachchan.

right time for Modi jee to inaugurate this temple just before the elections to gain maximum religious support.

A video is circulating on social media where a guy imitating Virat Kohli came to the inauguration ceremony of the Ram Mandir and people gathered around him to record a moment with him.

I guess the duplicate Virat Kohli gathered more audience than Rohit Sharma.... LOL

Wow! I didn't know this.

There are many stories like this (extreme Islamophobes becoming Muslims). Fascinating.
Allah guides whom He wills.

They plan and Allah plans, and Allah is the best of planners.

Both verses from the Quran.

They demolish mosques yet Allah has said the entire world is a mosque.

They beat their chests for man made idols who are just as powerless as them.

They are no different than the idol worshippers during the time of Prophets Ibrahim, Musa, Nuh, Isa, Muhammad etc Peace and Blessings be upon them all.

They rejoice at demolishing ONE house of worship of Allah, while hundreds and thousands are being built as we speak all across the globe, some in India itself! With people reverting to Islam now more than ever, partly due to exposure from current events.

In Sha Allah even this event will inspire many to follow the path of Islam like the above saab Mohammad Amir who was formerly a Sikh who destroyed the masjid only to build around a 100 more as a revert once he realized the truth!

All these thugs today have had zero impact on the exponential growth of Islam.

Let them live in their little bubble. It is temporary, like everything in this life.

They rejoice at demolishing ONE house of worship of Allah, while hundreds and thousands are being built as we speak all across the globe, some in India itself!
No, we rejoice at reclaiming one of our most holy shrines. Mosques are not banned. We have even provided land for a new mosque to be built. Maybe this was the plan of Allah, that hindus should get justice.

Now we need to reclaim only two more shrines.

Begani Shaadi mein Abdullah Diwana!!!!

Ayodhya has nothing to do with Pakistan but Pakistan finds it necessary to condemn it.

Pakistanis wanted a separate country in 1947, they got it. What's the need to poke your nose in India?

And Pakistan talking about democracy. :))

Muslim shopfronts torn down in Mumbai after Ram temple opening sparks communal clashes

Authorities in India’s financial capital Mumbai have torn down several Muslim-owned makeshift shopfronts after communal clashes sparked by a divisive Hindu temple opened this week by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Minor clashes broke out on Sunday in parts of Mumbai, including one incident where Hindus chanting religious slogans passed through a Muslim neighbourhood on the megacity’s outskirts.

No serious injuries were reported in the melee but by Tuesday, authorities had called in excavators to knock down more than a dozen shopfronts belonging to Muslims in that locality, according to local media reports.

The following evening another 40 shopfronts were knocked down on Mohammed Ali Road, a major downtown thoroughfare and centre of local Muslim commerce that had also seen weekend clashes.

No, we rejoice at reclaiming one of our most holy shrines. Mosques are not banned. We have even provided land for a new mosque to be built. Maybe this was the plan of Allah, that hindus should get justice.

Now we need to reclaim only two more shrines.

Which two? Some of your friends believe a temple existed under Taj Mahal and some even believe the Kaaba used to be a temple. When they finally climb on top of the Kaaba, will they perform the Adhan first before demolition?

Poor Indian Muslims always have to pay.. if some Muslims miscreants do something bad, they pay. If Hindu miscreants do somehting bad, they pay.

If a mandir is demolished, they pay. If a masjid is demolished, they still pay. LOL

India is such a thriving homeland for these Muslims. A big round of applause!

Please post the texts of the holy scriptures of Hinduism which instruct Hindus to knock down any religious building of others and rebuild a Hindu temple?

Destroying a temple is Adharma. Countering Adharma is Dharma.

That temple could have been built right next to that place but instead, it was decided to destroy the religious place of worship of a minority if that country. This cannot be justice.

Well archeological findings found a temple structure below where the mosque was built. Clear indication a temple was destroyed to build the mosque.

Karma finds you in the end no matter which religion you follow, hence now the Mosque is gone and temple took its rightful place..

So the ppl who centuries ago were oppressed and abused shouldn't get justice?

It works both ways, the good old thing with Muslims are; do as we say, not as we do, unfortunately world don't work like that...

Karma will find you, it always evens things out, be it, in an hour, a day, a week, years or centuries...

Those days were all about oppressing other nations and people. Domination was the major factor and to conquer the whole world was one of the main purposes. Do you still want to keep the oppression going?

If yes then this whole talk is of no use because choosing oppression over freedom is a curse.

Well when you say those days, let me remind you that Hindus do not have a history of conquer/invasion.

Hindus have never gone outside of their environment to a foreign environment and colonized it, they didn't do it back then when the Islamic invaders were causing killings, chaos and destruction or now, so we need to be specific about who these conquerors were in those days.

Justice delayed is justice denied, I do not see any issue in the temple construction...

Mughals and other invaders were so poor that they couldn't afford land at any other place, so had to raze temples and build mosque on those places.

This is not karma. This is oppressing minorities. India should not call itself a secular state.
Do you actually know the definition of secular?

Two communities fought over a place. Thus legality went through via historical established facts without any intervention from any religion. Both group accepted whatever the verdict will be.

This is a perfect example of what a secular system should be.

By that logic, the feudal Lords who have occupied acres and acres of lands should have been allowed to keep the lands as it happened centuries ago and now if reversal occurs, it will be oppression on the fuedal lords.

Can you confirm by any means that Ram mandir was indeed the birthplace?

Pakistan asks UN to protect Muslim sites in India

Following religious clashes sparked by the opening this week of a controversial Hindu temple in India, Pakistan has urged the United Nations to take action for the protection of Islamic sites in the country.

Pakistan’s UN envoy Munir Akram shared the plea during an OIC ambassadorial meeting at the UN headquarters in New York on Wednesday, condemning the recent consecration of the Ram temple on the site of the demolished Babri Masjid.

“Pakistan condemns in the strongest terms the construction and consecration of the Ram Temple on the site of the demolished Babri Mosque in Ayodhya, India,” he wrote in a letter addressed to Miguel Angel Moratinos, a top official for the UN Alliance of Civilisations.

“This trend poses a significant threat to the social, economic, and political well-being of Indian Muslims, as well as to the harmony and peace in the region.”

Shopfronts torn down

The letter came on the heels of local authorities’ drive in Mumbai tearing down several Muslim-owned makeshift shopfronts. The action by municipal authorities follows religious clashes sparked by the inauguration of Ram temple.

Minor clashes broke out Sunday in parts of Mumbai, including one incident where Hindus chanting religious slogans passed through a Muslim neighbourhood on the megacity’s outskirts, AFP adds.

No serious injuries were reported in the melee but by Tuesday, authorities had called in excavators to knock down more than a dozen shopfronts belonging to Muslims in that locality, according to media reports.

The following evening another 40 shopfronts were knocked down on Mohammed Ali Road, a major downtown thoroughfare and centre of local Muslim commerce that had also seen weekend clashes.

“We were undertaking deep clearing of the road in which some temporary hawkers and so forth were removed,” a local municipal officer, who declined to be named, told AFP on Thursday.

Numerous traders of all faiths often build makeshift shopfronts out of canvas and wood to shield their businesses and patrons from the city’s scorching sun and pounding monsoon rains.

“I cannot fathom why this was done,” Abdul Haseeb Khan, owner of a restaurant hit in the clearance drive, said. “If they didn’t want these structures here, they should have informed us and we would have removed it. This is no way to take action.”

Municipal officials told local media that the campaign was “routine” and planned before Sunday’s clashes, and that it was aimed at clearing illegal encroachments and easing pedestrian traffic.

So-called “bulldozer justice” has been an increasingly common tool of local officials in India to punish suspected criminals by demolishing their property.

Rights groups have condemned the practice as an unlawful exercise in collective punishment that disproportionately targets the country’s Muslim minority.

Islamic heritage

The letter by Pakistan’s UN envoy highlighted the urgency for intervention in safeguarding Islamic heritage sites in India.

“I am writing to seek your urgent intervention for the protection of religious sites in India. The United Nations Alliance of Civilisations must play a crucial role in safeguarding Islamic heritage sites and securing the rights of religious and cultural minorities in India,” the letter read.

This development brings renewed attention to religious discrimination in India, with concerns over the desecration and destruction of mosques. The situation extends beyond the Babri Mosque, with other mosques facing similar threats.

“Regrettably, this is not an isolated incident, as other mosques, including the Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi and the Shahi Eidgah Mosque in Mathura, face similar threats of desecration and destruction,” Ambassador Akram said.

The statements from various ambassadors underscore the need for international attention to protect religious sites and ensure the rights of religious and cultural minorities in India. The upcoming OIC ambassadorial meeting is poised to address these concerns on a broader scale.

Can you confirm by any means that Ram mandir was indeed the birthplace?
It doesn't matter if it was the birthplace or not, fact is a temple was demolished to build the mosque.... So the temple can now take its rightful place...

the whole case was built on the story that it was a birthplace. And you are saying that it does not matter?

the whole case was built on the story that it was a birthplace. And you are saying that it does not matter?
For me personally it does not matter whether it was the birthplace or not.

Religion is a set of beliefs, it does not need any scientific proof regarding beliefs, if a person believes their god was born in a certain area, they are free to do it without the need for proof. In the case of the mosque, there has been archaeological findings that the temple existed before the mosque so it strengthen the argument even more.....

There is no proof Mohammed flew away on a winged horse to heaven or jesus rose from the dead or moses splitting the sea. It is a beliefs and those who wants to believe it can believe it without proof.

Can you confirm by any means that Ram mandir was indeed the birthplace?
Don't know.

but you wrote,
Those days were all about oppressing other nations and people. Domination was the major factor and to conquer the whole world was one of the main purposes. Do you still want to keep the oppression going?
Since previously mandir was there from before, then it means in those days, oppressor exploited the weak.

That doesn't mean one should accept whatever happened in the past. Otherwise just because some colonisation happened in the 15th-16th century, it should have had been allowed even now to be occupied as per your logic.

Can you confirm by any means that Ram mandir was indeed the birthplace?
How does it matter? The supreme court treated it as a real estate issue spanning over generations. Based on the evidence of structures found under mosque the land was handed over to Hindus.

Good news, perhaps, as long as a mob doesn’t come around and demolish it with no one being punished for it decades later…
You really should worry more about mosques and muslims in Pakistan. At least two of them have been blown up killing hundreds in the past year alone.

What is really wrong with this Babri Masjid issue? Even Sunni Waqf Board, a party in this case, is satisfied with the court verdict!

And the place where the Babri Masjid stood has been a disputed land since 1850s... and it was shutdown since 1949.

Another thing is that according to the court order 2 3⁄4 acres was given to Ram Lalla Trust (were babari masjid stood) for building the temple and 5 acres to Sunni Waqf Board .. I did not see this mentioned anywhere...

According to some people's logic, Indian muslims are oppressed but they are too stupid to realize that (they are oppressed but they don't know that they are oppresed as per the logic). No wonder during NRC, Indian muslim asked Pakistan to keep their opinions to themselves lol.

Actually every party played right into the BJP hands..

This is no bad thing, if the people of a nation resonate with a party with RSS hindutva ideology, then it is only natural that BJP should rise to address their insecurities.

That temple could have been built right next to that place but instead, it was decided to destroy the religious place of worship of a minority if that country. This cannot be justice.

Why should Hindus compromise?

As per hindu beliefs Ram lalla was born at the place where the mosque was built by destroying the temple.

Muslims got a country in 1947, its only justice that Hindus get back their temples.

This is not karma. This is oppressing minorities. India should not call itself a secular state.

When Spain was liberated from the muslim rule and Greece from the Ottomans both countries decolonized themselves.

Many mosques which were churches earlier were reconverted into churches.

In India we have only started the process.

Secularism doesn't mean muslim appeasement.

UN will be able to do jack. And pakistanis should mind their own business. They wanted a country in 1947, they got one. Now what's their interest in India?

Interesting comment. In a way its admission that the rights of Muslims are being violated but nobody can do anything about it.

By the way, on a free for all discussion board, anybody can come and post their views and the Indians here should be grateful they are allowed to freely and without censure express their opinion and sometimes even express their dislike or hatred of Pakistan and/or Pakistanis. I have seen that.

Pakistani posters here share a sense of brotherhood with Muslims in India and Muslims anywhere in general, and they are free to express their views. I do not think anybody has any right to object and say stuff like " And pakistanis should mind their own business. They wanted a country in 1947, they got one. Now what's their interest in India?"

I feel its a funny comment for a Hindu Indian to telling Pakistanis how to go about sharing or not sharing their views. You can force such draconian policies on Muslims in India telling them they cannot practice their religion by disallowing sacrifice of cows for Eid, but .... internet is free for all and most posters here are pakistani living in pakistan or overseas. If anything your attitudes will incite nothing but further resentment towards India and Indian hindus.

One would think a neutral online discussion board can be used as a tool to bridge the gap not widen or strengthen such chasms. Just my two cents.

The Spanish "liberation" from Muslim rule was basically forced conversion or death for the Muslims, they were thus wiped out from the region via a brutal campaign of ethnic cleansing.

Perhaps you gave that example because your eyes light up at a similar prospect in Bharat for the indiginous Muslim population?

What's funny is that you divide the country and take your share and yet have issues with how we govern our country.

You declare a entire country as islamic but have problems with Hindus taking their temples back.

Muslims got their right in 1947 and Hindus are taking theirs now.

Pakistan isn't a party to this issue. So these stupid statements by Pakistan government makes no sense.

Lol. There are others in this world and they have rights too. And they are exercising those rights by taking what's theirs.

As usual right wing hindus conveniently skipping mentioning razing down an existing mosque on the premises belonging to Muslims which by definition makes Muslims everywhere a party to the issue (Pakistani or non Pakistani)

Conveniently, this exercising of rights seem to happen almost 100% if the time before elections. LOL

Fair , Muslims in that logic should be grateful that west accepts them eventhough they continuously criticise western civilisation and their progress.

Use internet and social media only to criticise them? :/

But we were told India’s mosques are in bad state , they r discriminated falana falana?
I don’t remember saying that because I’ve never been inside an Indian mosque, also what does that have to do with anything in the post you quoted.

It does because we keep hearing on this forum how Muslims in India are discriminated, yet here the guy has converted and built 91 mosques (since 1992) as per the post.

Both can be true. One person doesn’t disprove the many accounts of discrimination that goes on in India on a daily basis.

He himself was one engaged in demolishing but then found the truth sent by God.

If both were true he would be massively discriminated against for converting and building 91 mosques in 30 years.

But again it’s just one person, and you don’t know if he was discriminated for it or not because the post is focused on his conversion more than anything.

You can choose to look away at the daily discrimination that goes on in India, esp based on some of the posts by Indians on here. It doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. The news reports are there even though the govt don’t want those reports out there.

One can be accepted in the west and be critical of their civilization. I dont see how that is "questionable" or ethically or morally wrong. Americans destroyed the native American tribes and population. They were the last ones to abolish slavery of the blacks. They seem to support Israel without question or condition. These are all areas where I as well as any other American regarless of origin and status can stand up and pass criticism on.
I do not believe any such actions are morally reprehensible. Basically, I believe calling a spade a spade. I wont mind admitting tht the so-called Muslim conquerors who invaded India and plundered their cities and razed their mandirs were despots. If any of their actions were in defense, they are justified but I suspect quite a few were simply show of power to gain more power.

But that was another era. It is gone. Just like one should not agree with displacing humans from their homes enmasse or trampling on their rights, one should not condone native americans killing and driving out white americans from their lands (if due to some miracle they develop enough numbers and power to actually do so) in 2024. Same idea applies to these masjids in India. I am sure they were mostly built in place of old hindu mandirs. Does this mean you will be okay with all of them being razed and temples rebuilt there?

I find it hard to believe you will find any Muslim who is critical of the progress west has made by the way. I think we may be critical of their methods, most of them from the colonial era, but Hindus also level similar criticism on them for plundering the subcontinent as Muslims, I really dont see much difference there. Apart from that, everything the west has achieved in science, tech, medicine, etc is to be applauded.

Muslims don't criticise western civilisation or their progress, they might object when they are forced to give up their religion, but even then they must do it within the lawful framework of the country they reside in.

Your understanding of this seems to be tinged with some bigotry, whether intentional or adopted unconsciously.

Era is gone , that’s very fair yet we stick to religion and culture.
Please tell me the name of missiles in Pakistan whom are they named after?
