Which PSL team will be picking Ali Raza? Do you think PCB should even allow him to participate in PSL (T20 Format) even as a bench player?

exactly he is nothing special what so ever neither is Usman...and lets face it all year only these two have scored rest are all parchis for sure.
 
Azizul bats like a talented young Indian batter. Clearly the most talented batter who has played today.
 
Umar is useless. He did nothing in the whole event but he still played ahead of Huzaifa who took a fifer in the inly game he played... Pathetic team selection..
 
It doesn't matter who wins today. Bangladesh is also our team, and we will support them against India.
 
We don't have upcoming talent and the little talent we are getting are not getting selected because of nepotism , no wonder our youth has given up on cricket and it's reflected from empty stadiums in PSL and even International matches.

Bring money to youth otherwise we will become associate level team.

After a decade or so we finally got a proper spinner in Huzaifa and he didn't get a chance to play the next Huzaifa will be trying his luck in overseas country instead of cricket.

Bangladesh is a really good team at under-19 level.

Possibly the best right now considering how India has fallen off at this level.

Bangladesh secured their place in the final of the U19 Asia Cup 2024 with a commanding seven-wicket victory over Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Opting to field after winning the toss, Bangladesh's bowlers delivered a clinical performance, restricting Pakistan to a modest 116 runs in just 37 overs.

Pakistan's innings struggled to gain momentum, with Mohammad Riazullah contributing 28 runs off 65 balls and Farhan Yousaf scoring a quick 32 off 32 balls. Despite these efforts, Bangladesh's disciplined bowling attack, led by Iqbal Hossain Emon, who took an impressive 4/24 in his seven overs, dismantled the Pakistani batting lineup. Maruf Mridha (2/23) and Al Fahad (1/23) provided crucial support, maintaining relentless pressure and ensuring Pakistan couldn't build any substantial partnerships.

Chasing a target of 117, Bangladesh's innings was anchored by captain Azizul Hakim, who remained unbeaten on 61 off just 42 deliveries. His aggressive knock included 7 fours and 3 sixes, boasting a striking rate of 145.23. Mohammad Shihab James added 26 runs, while Zawad Abrar contributed a brisk 17, ensuring a steady and swift chase. Bangladesh reached the target comfortably in just 22.1 overs, demonstrating both resilience and tactical prowess.

Despite Pakistan's bowlers, including Ali Raza (1/40) and Abdul Subhan (1/27), putting up a fight, Bangladesh's cohesive team effort prevailed. The Player of the Match award was rightfully given to Iqbal Hossain Emon for his match-winning bowling performance that set the foundation for Bangladesh's convincing victory.

With this triumph, Bangladesh will face India in the final of the Mens U19 Asia Cup 2024, promising an exhilarating showdown between two strong contenders vying for the prestigious title.

Please can somebody ask Saj to Approach the pathetic management and find out on what basis did Hufaiza didnt play after the whole world watched him last match. He was a more attacking option then anybody else?

Pakistani under 19 just surrender to us. Disappointing staff to see that. I expected a tough competition.

Time after time they look flawless at group stage and then loose at knockouts clearly the management is not doing something right

You have to pick up the right guys with skill and temperament

Offcourse i shall back Bangladesh against India any day any time. Perhaps you forgot Bangladesh became champions even in bigger stage ,the world cup under 19 by beating India in final not long ago. And we are the defending champions of Asia unde 19 cup.

That's two teams, just because senior team losing that doesn't mean we can't celebrate u19.

This thread is about under 19. So i m on topic. There is absolutely no way to ignore this tournament. Every team has been representing their own country and playing for a win.

Our boys will be extra motivated this time against India,no doubt.
 
Pakistan U19 Assistant Coach Agha Sabir Ali reviews the U19 Asia Cup semi-final defeat while speaking to PCB media:

"Look, it’s very disappointing to lose in the semi-final. Throughout the tournament, we have been playing excellent cricket, and we beat India, the most favorite team of this tournament, comprehensively."

"Our batters were scoring runs, bowlers were taking wickets, and fielders were doing well on the field. So, it was all very good, excellent team coordination. Unfortunately, today, luck didn’t favor us."

"It was an early start, the pitch was fresh, and the toss played a crucial part. We didn’t turn up today. It’s not an excuse, but we just didn’t turn up today. We couldn’t build any partnerships, and the runs weren’t enough on the board to defend. Then, our bowling also wasn’t as we expected. But there were definitely some shortcomings. There were grey areas that we have identified, which will be worked on."

"Insha’Allah, in the future, they will be able to serve Pakistan well. Definitely, the players who have played in this tournament and in the previous tri-series have shown their potential, temperament, and technique. They have shown good shot-making, played modern-day cricket, and the bowlers have hit the right areas. There are a few areas that we have identified and will work on. There are some talented boys who, in the future, can serve Pakistan very well."

Why BD always do well in U19 cricket? Is it due to age fudging?
 
This ali raza isn't all that for someone who has been blooded into fc cricket he surely doesn't pick many wickets people were saying he is a 90mph bowler

Your boys just got whitewashed in India in both test and T20 series. Wonder where that motivation had gone?

Hope Indian U19 kids will be motivated on Sunday and take revenge for insulting Indian flag.

It was genuine question. Bangladesh seems to always do well in U19 cricket almost in every batch but never translate that into senior team. So that definitely raises suspicion.
 
@Mainul - your boys lost a test match in Kanpur in 1.5 days. Rohit Sharma and Jaiswal smashed your bowlers like govt mule. Wonder where that motivation of beating India gone on that day? You want to talk more about motivation with me?

That's my issue .it started much before when seniors toured and seniors got beaten black and blue .they were beyond pathetic.now he is throwing up under19 team as soldiers for his war. Any team success measurement is its seniors performance not under 10 or 19 team.

It's much worse now than it was when the senior team toured. ATM any win even at toddler level in any sports will be celebrated and be point of motivation. It's all politics, you know how ugly politics is. I hope things calm down in future.

You know your senior team is much stronger. Laugh off any other discussion. Since it's not a political thread let's move on from the discussion

It is because in seniors team there are no age restrictions. Here in U19 cricket they can cheat by age fudging. That is why you will see BD is doing well in U19 cricket every year but a minnow in seniors cricket.

our batters were doing well...it was just two batters all tournament and the tri series aswell you dont need to be a blind man to realise this...
 
Would have loved to see a Bharat vs Pakistan final. Nothing like it.

Anyway, Under 19 cricket should be all about providing opportunities to youngsters to learn and get to the next level.

Babar Azam i believe lost to Unkukt Chand and yet we know how their careers progressed.

I think Bangladeshi fans have plenty to be hopeful about for the future. The U-19 WC win and now this win shows that they are producing players at the junior level who have the talent to compete with the best junior cricketers in the world. Even in their international team, the emergence of someone like Nahid Rana is massive when you consider the quality of BD pacers of past, which was practically non-existent. Just because Bangladesh have been rubbish for almost the entirety of their cricketing history doesn't mean that will always be the case.
 
Seems like Pakistan batting relies a lot on top 2. once you get them out they are not that good.
 
Third time in a row, Pakistan U19 lost in the semi finals of Asia Cup!

On all the three occasions PAK-U19 remain unbeaten in group stage.

2021: Sri Lanka by 22 Runs (PAK: 125)
2023: UAE by 11 Runs (PAK: 182)
2024: Bangladesh by 7 Wickets (PAK: 116)
