Come on Ireland! 4 an over will be tough on such a slow wicket for them, but it's bound to be exciting.
 
Bangladesh is a Test nation and this i the 2n time they are looking to emabarres themselves.
 
Whats surprising is that against the Indians they managed to atleast score 283 batting second chasing a huge 370 but here it's much worse batting first and not been able to get to 200 even as yet with 1.3 overs left!
 
Just tuned in to this match - Bangladesh will have to bowl extraordinarily well to win this one.

Pressure?

Looks like they've bottled it. No one expected them to chase down the Indian total whereas here the pressure to set a big total was there for all to see.

even if they win from there, I couldn't care less about their WC anymore.

Exactly! Nobody was expecting them to chase that total but still managing 283 against them was a good effort atleast not folding like this and like you've just said here it was a chance to set a big total to defend!
 
Bangladesh is such a poor team. Game over.. I do think Ireland would win this not easily..
 
Absolutely pathetic stuff from Bangladesh. Their first fifty came in 5.4 overs (for no loss), and to be all out for 205 without batting the entire 50 overs is just terrible. Their opening pair put up 53 runs for the first wicket. Good starts gone to waste once again :facepalm:
 
Kayes out stumped, Siddique - lazy run out, Tamim, Shakib, Iqbal, Ashraful all played rubbish shots to get out, Hasan run out and then it was the tail.

I think this pitch is quite decent. Ireland should get these.

Ireland deserves test status, pathetic display by Bangladesh who i think is an overrated team and should be demoted below associate. I will be surprised if Bangladesh even beats Kenya
 
the problem with bang is not there performance per se, but the fact that apart from tamim and shakib the average player strength have not improved at all in 10 years or test cricket. Mohammed rafique, habibul bashar, javed omar, hasibul hossain, aminul islam would pbly still get into this squad.

There domestic system clearly cannot produce average international quality players regularly, and the fact that irish players can play in england means they will improve even faster. its not a matter of talent, but professionalism.

If ireland out does bangladesh in this tournament again like 2007, and this time too in bangla there will be serious questions as to why bang have test status and ireland dont.

having said that i still think shakib will pull a rabbit out the hat and save bangla in this game.

Dockrell the stand-out performer,backed up well by Mooney and Botha.Johnston bowled really well towards the end with his mix of slower balls and yorkers.

Unlike the Netherlands,Ireland have a really good bowling attack and that can be crucial,as we found out in 2007,even if you have a weak batting lineup,the bowlers still are dangerous enough to reduce the opposition to low totals.

(Porterfield 's was a very soft dismissal)

Meanwhile, Naeem looks more threatening than the rest of the bangladeshi spinners. Almost all his deliveries are aimed at stumps with little to no room for the batsmen to play.
