Just dropped in to say that, based on the evidence presented in the review that Shakib decision was horrendous. At the time of the spike the bat looked like it was not contacting the ground, if it ever did at all. If it was allowed by the law I would have called him back.

Not a single Indian player had any kind of trouble while fielding in that same "wet outfield". Not a single Indian bowler had any issues with their run ups on that same " Wet outfield ". And on top of that, it's the bowling teams who are at a major disadvantage with wet outfields as it makes it harder to grip the ball and also it skids through making it easier for strole making.

i saw the match, the outfield was wet. It was infact soo damp that ball hitting the outfield would stop and not be able to crawl to the boundary, Bangladesh had a huge disadvantage there.
Atleast Pakistan vs Sa, the outfield was first dried up and than play was restarted.
you do know, it was because of the same minnows India qualified for the semis?

Hundreds of cricket games are played on relatively damp outfields where ball plugs after hitting the outfield. Happens almost every summer in England. That doesn't mean it was not suitable to play cricket. You're really clutching onto straws here.
They have infuence on series, timing, payments, etc..but dont beleive they do in a game where a decion matters from live games . It can't be that obvious,a but tired to see to give them SOOOO MUCH importance etc, and frankly even if you talk about it ( sad that ex-players , you look more stupid )

Yes they can make mistakes. But due to IPL money power, IPL umpires can have conflict of interest and may give close calls in favour of India disproportionately (as seen in this tournament). We cannot say the same for any other nation because they dont offer umpires anything close to what IPL offers them.
We cannot decide it and we will never know for sure. The only thing we can do is eliminate the possibility of any conflict of interest so that these questions dont even arise.

Like I said earlier, if India was in Pakistan’s situation today and SA would have lost to Netherlands and Shakib would have been screwed over by the umpires, this forum would have been a bloodbath.
Pakistani fans with victim mentality would be crying left right and center and throwing all sorts of accusations on the umpires, ICC, South African players etc.
The reality is that there is no pro India bias, no conspiracy, no agenda against Pakistan. The umpires make mistakes and sometimes they go against you and something they benefit you.
The problem is that Pakistani fans cannot help their victim complex and delusional thinking. It is not limited to cricket only. You will see this in all spheres of life and this is why Pakistan has the reputation that it has.

Almost every game in this tournament involving a sub-continent team has been mired in conspiracy theories.
50:50 decisions such as Kohli vs Rizwan, Kohli's hand gestures after a high ball (which every batsmen would do including Rizwan), Bangladesh's early rain start and other things in their India game, the pitches/conditions apparently being doctored by ICC to help India and Pakistan play a final (after ICC doctored things against Pakistan early in the tournament) and many others. Endless.
Everything without an iota of hard evidence.
You will see that particularly in sub-continental teams (or shall I see only in sub-continental teams?)
The funny thing is, if India loses today, all these theories will be forgotten without any shame and no one will hold anyone's feet to the fire. On to the next one.
Anyone can add circumstantial things together and prove two diametrically opposite theories with equal confidence.
If no evidence is needed, then there is a very low bar to appear intelligent by proposing outlandish theories. And the gullible lap it up and regurgitate without evidence.
